I've driven by this location so many times and wanted to try it out. It seems to always be after I just ate or when I don't have time to stop! Last weekend after a kiddo's birthday party, the adults were famished and it was the perfect opportunity to order Ixtapa on Uber Eats! We were all so glad we did! The order arrived hot, delicious, and right when we needed it! I had the creamy shrimp fajitas while my friends had a steak burrito and chicken enchiladas. I usually forego the beans and rice but let's just say there was nothing left in anyone's tray when we cleaned up after the meal! Now that I know the high quality dishes they offer I will make a plan to stop in for an actual meal the next time I am enroute between Woodinville and Mill Creek off route 9! read more

this was the worst carne asada I've ever had in my life - burnt & dry. highly do not recommend.

I love a consistent Mexican restaurant, and that's what this Ixtapa is. While there's nothing extra-ordinary about the food - it is always consistent and good. We love the location, the staff is always very kind, the restaurant feels clean, and everyone always leaves satisfied. If you're in the area and looking for Mexican, this place is definitely worth a stop in. read more

FANTASTIC ! ! ! I am a white boy that loves Mexican food. This place is FANTASTIC ! ! ! Fantastic menu, Fantastic people, Fantastic prices.

Food was tasty. Had lunch with friends. Enjoyed everything we ordered. Very nice staff and very attentive. Great place to stop in on a weekend and relax for lunch. read more

Reviews seem quite mixed so I stupidly decided to try for myself. An unbelievable waste of $60. I should've gone to Memo's in Everett instead. Would've paid $20 for the same meal and it would've been bomb. I am actually surprised at how bad this food was. The enchilada was meh but that was probably the best part. Everything else was barely flavored and gave me cafeteria nachos vibes. Idk... I'm sad about it. It's less than a mile from our new house so I had big dreams for finding great Mexican near home. Hah. Believe the reviews and overall star rating. I didn't even take photos... my tummy was too sad. read more

Absolutely the worst chile relleno I have ever had. They were takeout ended up throwing them away. I could not finish, it truly awful. I absolutely do not recommend this I will not eat there again. I have had them there before and they were fine. I'm not sure what happened this time but that was a real waste of $20. this was at the Snohomish Ixtapa read more

I recently ate at the Snohomish ixtapa. First wife was brought out the wrong food and told them but was asked if she could just eat it , then o ordered a combo fajita steak , chicken and when it came was mostly onions and had 4 little strips of steak and 2 pieces of chicken and ended with a bill of.85.00. We eat out a lot and was the worst mexican experience yet. Will never return read more

Every time we are in the Snohomish area to visit family, play golf or whatever we eat at the best Mexican restaurant Ixtapa Clearview. They make home made pico...just for us when we ask...with no onions. and chicken fajitas no onions. This place is fabulous and the service is as good as the food. read more

This is an amazing little gem in Snohomish we stopped at on a whim. Luis, Yenna and the entire staff are so very friendly and personable, we felt like we were dining at home. The food is fabulous! We live in Kent and have't had great Mexican tasting food since we were in Cancun 15 years ago. Their pico de gallo and guac are freshly made with flavorful ingredients! We had their fajitas for two and three could easily dine with the portions. I certainly wish Ixtapa was closer to home, but we will definitely be back as soon as we can! Thank you Luis and Yenna for making our impromptu visit into a date night! read more

Used to be our go to place, however in the last year I've caught them overcharging 3 times (by 15-25$ on 2 meals). Each time I confronted them and they acted put out about it, almost with a smirk on their face. The stuff we ordered was tasteless dog food. The restaurant is slightly dirty and the service is crooked. Go literally anywhere but here. Better food from any taco trucks. The guys are overcharging so look out. Shameful!! read more

we love this place! my husband since he caught covid has had a issue with hot sauce and cilantro and it is my favorite food, I had a bite of my son in laws pollo fun dido at Azteca i loved it.i started researching who might have the dish. Snohomish Ixtapa was the only place i found. it was so much better than Azteca .my husband loves their chimichanga's burritos and loves their hot sauce Pico .their mild sauce is great! beans and rice are awesome we have ate there every weekend for the last 5 months! Raul the manager works his butt off. The drinks are awesome ! bus people are so nice !! clean outside dining inside is great love the Decore. While the food quality is good, and the service is fast, I noticed something odd when I got my credit card statement. I noticed that at least twice, they charged more than what I had written on the receipt. I guess they didn't think my 15% tip was enough. One time it was one dollar over, and another time it was $1.50 over. That's just wrong. read more

In for lunch today... they don't have a lunch menu! Every other Mexican restaurant in town has discounted lunch menus; will go elsewhere in this tight economy. They don't have a cup of soup...? Only a bowl. Took 30 minutes to get our lunch-only 3 other tables had guests... Didn't have hardly any time tobest my BOWL of soup because it took so long to get it & I was on my lunch break. Way too many other choices nearby to do this again read more

We just had lunch at 11am outside. The food is delicious and the Pico is home made. We brought a pinata and ate chips and salsa while we played with it. Delicious food...real and sooo fresh. We go there every few months. Well worth the drive. Outside can be noisy, as it is right on Rte 9, but again worth it. read more

Ixtapa - 14th birthday outside in covered patio - Mexican Near Me - Snohomish, Washington

If you want the saltiest Mexican food this side of the Mississippi then go here. Eaten here 4 times and each time progressively worse. Mind you I don't write bad reviews unless deemed necessary for national security!! I hope they read this and retrain the chef on spicing or hide the damn salt. read more

Absolutely terrible! $70 in food and threw all of it away. Can't remember the last time I had food this bad. Chicken fajitas we way over seasoned and cooked. Couldn't even eat it. The deep fried ice cream had nothing on it. It was supposed to have chocolate or strawberry syrup and whip cream and the Chile Verde is probably one of the most disgusting things I ever tasted. Meat tasted old and not cooked right. We usually like the Ixtapa in Monroe, but you'll never catch me ordering from this one again. read more

Used to be our go-to take out place but they have disappointed more than once lately. Last night they left out the flour tortillas from my to go order, and gave me black beans when I ordered whole beans. My wife's enchiladas were poorly thrown together, and rice and beans were cold on both orders. Would potentially have been excusable if they had been busy but the place was dead. With a couple of decent taco trucks in the area, Ixtapa can't afford to get sloppy read more

Excellent food and friendliest service around. I'm surprised to see the negative reviews, as we have dined here for years, and the food and service are consistently great (salsa is EXCELLENT). They are principled and kind people; and even insisted upon not charging me once when I forgot my wallet! Highly recommend! read more

FRIED SHRIMP TACOS!! I enjoy good fish tacos! Sometimes I am hesitant to order them...because I've eaten enough of them to know that restaurants don't always get it "right" - sometimes the fish doesn't taste fresh, or it's watery (like it was cooked from frozen), sometimes I am disappointed with the portion size, and/or the ratio of fish to cabbage slaw. And sometimes they claim to serve it with a "spicy" aioli...and I can't figure out where the "spice" is. Well...let me tell you. Ixtapa's Fried Shrimp Tacos are NOT a disappointment. For $13.99 - you get two very LARGE tacos, and a huge portion of beans and rice. The fried shrimp is coated in some sort of cajun spice, and they do not "skimp" when adding the shrimp to your taco. it is topped with a spicy crema fresca sauce, pickled onions, and cabbage. Your taste buds will be so excited that you actually are eating something with a nice texture and "kick" to it. Our service was s.l.o.w. - When that happens, our family likes to pass the time by playing trivia, or charades (no...we don't get out of our seat and mimic things in the aisles). Usually there is a bonus at Mexican restaurants (i.e. chips and salsa) - their house salsa...is SPICY and I could eat gobs of it. We also ordered two appetizers - the no name (that's right...it's called NO NAME) Deep small fried chicken burritos, served with melted cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and tomatoes. We always order this appetizer, and our kids (ages 8 & 4) share this as their meal. - We usually have leftovers, and our kids can't wait to eat them again. $11.99 We also ordered the nachos, each and every chip has ample toppings - some restaurants just pile a bunch of chips on a plate, and then sprinkle the toppings on the top chips...leaving a whole bunch of chips at the bottom - topless, and soggy. Not the case with these nachos. Toppings were generous, and the flavor was delicious. $10.95...but, we were charged a little extra because we asked if we could have chorizo added. :) read more

Disappointing. I was looking for a new/different Mexican restaurant in the area and thought I would give this a try since they have been around for a while. I got my food to go and it was basically like warm even though I picked it up when they said it would be ready. I ordered a chili rellano with a chicken enchilada and the usual rice & beans. Very average. Rellano was decent made the way I like them with the egg batter but the enchilada was dry. My biggest issue was with the chili pablano that I order in addition. Chunks of unmelted cheese on the inside was a definite miss. Probably not going back. Why is it so hard to find a good solid, not over priced Mexican restaurant in the area? Frustrating. Probably not going back. read more

Ixtapa - Burrito al Pastor with Green sauce! Amazing! - Mexican Near Me - Snohomish, Washington

Good customer service. Smaller portions and priced more compared to other local restaurants. Food wasn't all that great either.

Although the servers were very friendly our entire family was just not impressed with this restaurant. As soon as we walked to the front door, a worker was outside smoking on the patio and the smoke smell was so strong. The food was pretty bland and high priced for what you get. My parents ordered nachos to share and it really was a small serving. My burrito was pretty plain and small. I mean, I did get full but usually we have leftovers to take home for a cheaper price but we paid quite a bit more than other restaurants in our area and didn't have leftovers. I was hoping we would like it because it's so close to where we live but I think we will continue driving to Woodinville to go to Mi Tierra instead. I don't think we will be back to this restaurant but i do wish the employees well as we did have good service. It just wasn't enough to make up for the quality and price. read more

I've been to this particular restaurant three or four times, and got take out twice. I think the food tastes good, I especially enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup. The employees are friendly, although sometimes the service is not as attentive as I would hope-being a waitress myself. I think it's probably a little bit overpriced for the taste. I'm not impressed with the ambience of the restaurant, it's decorated kind of like a bad set for a elementary school play. Pretty typical for a Mexican restaurant, but for the price of the food I would expect it to look a little nicer. I suspect The building is on the older side. read more

BEST FAJITAS IN WASHINGTON! My husband and I split the fajitas for two at least twice a month. There's nothing quite like hearing your food sizzling before you see it! The flavors are fresh and spicy, the portions are huge and the staff are the sweetest you'll ever meet. Your basket of chips will never be empty and your drink will always be full. I highly recommend trying some of their various flavors of margaritas- so delish (and strong!) One of these days I will try something other than the fajitas or save room for dessert. Until then- I'll stick to my guns and vote for the fajitas! read more
