Very authentic Mexican food. I love their quesadillas de chicharron. As well as their tacos al pastor. Another favorite is their chilaquiles which come with egg, asada meat , rice and beans. The portion is quiet big so we share it-its enough for three people. So yummy fresh and tasty. Every item we have tried we have liked. They also have a side for goodies like esquites(corn) chips with different toppings. Jell o and so much more. I would definitely say try their corn tamales they are soft and super delicious. Can we seriously talk about how awesome this establishment is!?! An amazingly full menu, there are tortas, tacos and tortillas! It's a bright oasis on an otherwise dreary highway 99. There are so many little taco joints all around Everett, I feel this is a place that deserves a try. Once you walk through the door, you are greeted by a brightly lit feast feast for the eyes! The first thing I noticed was the display of packaged treats, which included cookies, and snacks and chips from the owner's home region. Those cookies always call to me, "we want in your belly." I got a bit off-track talking about cookies (a squirrel moment brought to you by mah belly). So, let's get back on track! The menu has a HUGE selection of tortas, with selections as simple as ham and cheese to the festival in the mouth Cubano. But, there are also a very generous selection of tacos, burritos, flautas and so much more. I want to feature the most recent handful of heaven I recently ordered. It was called a Chilanga Torta! It delivered! I have an onion allergy, so I skipped those, and also skipped the avacado, because I think they're icky (personal preference; I'm not making any kind of statement about this establishment's avacados). Two words: HUITLACOCHE QUESADILLA. This is the *only* place I know of that serves huitlacoche, a black fungus found on corn that tastes a bit like mushrooms. I had all but given up on finding huitlacoche in Washington. The last time I had it was YEARS ago during a trip to Reno where my husband introduced it to me. Imagine my surprise when we were at the counter and i heard him order a huitlacoche quesadilla! I ordered 2 chicken flautas (you can choose 3 if you like) and we both got a champurrado. (Champurrado is also not always easy to find.) As others have mentioned, this place has an extensive menu and there's also a separate part of the restaurant that serves fruit, juices, and batidos/liquados. It always seems to be busy with families and workers who stop in for meals. The workers are friendly and their food is well made. The huitlacoche is delicious, umami goodness, and the flautas are perfectly crunchy on a bed of shredded lettuce and sour cream. I wasn't as impressed by the champurrado because it was a bit on the thin side, but I'd still buy it for a champurrado fix on a cold day! read more

My go to torta anywhere I go is a milanesa torta and although there are some crazy orders here, I went with my usual to test it out. This was my first time here so I came with my husband and he ordered a Cubana. I'm glad we ordered two different things becauseI had to see one of their specialties for myself and even got to try the Cubana! If youve never had a Cubana before you are missing out. It's like having 3 sandwiches in one, 3 kinds of meat, different cheeses, the usual fixings and bread. So much meat, so much flavor, so much goodness! My husband finished all of it, I have no clue how either it was the biggest torta I've seen and it was so filling! Mine was delicious too. Meat perfectly cooked and everything fresh and yummy. We came in 20 minutes before they were closing but the man at the counter said it was okay and that they usually get customers late; sure enough more people came in after us. Very authentic. Very delicious. We were the only white and korean person in the entire place, which was awesome. We brought in the crowds too. There was only one table when we arrived but within 20 minutes there were 5 or 6. Our irritant was that the prices on their menu weren't right so the items we ordered were quoted as like $3 cheaper than what we got charged. Really lame. They play Spanish music and Spanish soap operas. Loved it. You order at the front counter (prepare yourself because most of the menu INCLUDING the food descriptions are in Spanish) and then go sit down at whatever table you choose. There is a little bar in the middle of the large room with sauces for your pleasure. One of them was so delicious, I drenched my food in it. Husband got Tortas filled with tons of meat and loved it. Before I moved to Washington, I genuinely wondered if I would be able to find Mexican food, let alone Authentic and Delicious Mexican. Everett is an absolute hot spot for hole in the wall taquerias, tamalerias and scratch made Mexican restaurants. My boyfriend and I debated where to eat the other day, and while driving by this location I decided this place is either AMAZING or mediocre. My boyfriend ordered a torta, and the biggest regret I have is not ordering my own. We ordered to go, and already the salsa looked legit. They give you red and green, and both were thick and with little char specks from the salsa being made fresh. When we got home, my mouth was watering in awe of the chilanga torta my boyfriend ordered. The bread was fresh and grilled on the outsides, and the filling was generous and piled high with hot dog, ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce and avocado. I managed to steal half of his torta, which was fortunately generously sized. We went back immediately the next day, and this will be our new spot. Must try!!! read more

Went here with my fam on a walk exploring our new neighborhood for some lunch. Their menu was easily accessible online along with wait times for orders which was helpful in deciding whether we wanted to order there. The menu was tantalizing so we decided to order despite the 20 mins they quoted. The prices were higher than I was expecting, but the options looked really good so we were o.k. with giving it a shot. I ordered tacos, (which came in orders of 1 or 5) in asada and lengua and a chicharron gordita. My partner wanted a suadero quesadilla, but they didn't have suadero, so she got a flor de calabaza quesedilla. First, the order was done on time and we took it home to eat. We shared the tacos which were very generously sized and seasoned perfectly. The asada was good, but not the best I've had. The lengua was SO tender and tasted great. The flor de calabaza was new for us but was pretty good! This was my first time having a real gordita and it was great! The texture of the masa was just firm enough to hold together, but not too hard to make it tough to eat. The chicharron inside did not disappoint either! Overall, great flavors and portions, even if you have to pay a bit more. I was disappointed that they didn't have suadero and the wait was a little long, but they were upfront about it. I would have rated 4.5 if I could have. We will certainly be back. read more

Nice local Mexican restaurant on Hwy. 99 in Everett. Tucked into a strip mall, but easily accessible on a corner location. Tortas (sandwiches) are the specialty. Nice options, full bar options and nice servers. When you walk in and your the only non Hispanic diner, you know it will be good! Loved the street tacos and tostadas. It's the hottest day ever in Washington (106 degrees) and I came in to order to go with my service dog and I was told there are no pets allowed I said that's fine this is a service dog (I have the tags she wasn't eating her vest because it's literally 106 degrees out!!!!!!!) she still proceeds to argue so I leave because I'm not gonna argue about that and my boyfriend ordered our food. This was my first time visiting this establishment and what a crappy experience. Ordered my food with some people I met up with and had a torta, that was delicious no complaint there (only reason I added the extra star). But the service after was absolute trash. I split my burrito with someone else and noticed it had white rice and what looked like no beans, cream, or avocado which the lady at the counter told me they always come with it. The rice tasted old and dry, and there was no beans or extra stuff that was supposed to be on there. The waiter comes up and asks how everything is. I told him the torta was fantastic but the burrito was bad and didn't have everything that was stated. He looked at it and said yeah it looks like there isn't. He takes it back then comes back saying they can add bean and stuff to it. He said they opened our burrito up so it's split open and they just wanna drizzle stuff to it. We said no thank you we'd rather have a new one made. He leaves comes back and say they can't do that and brings out beans and cream. We say no thanks and to make it easier and be accommodating we ask if we can have something else. He comes back after talking to whomever in the Back and says THEY CAN'T DO THAT?! What we ordered wasn't made right, then the waiter said well they added just a tiny bit of beans to try to justify the situation. I understand it's not the waiters fault I don't blame him at all. But come on?! At this point I ask for a refund then and they say they can't do that so I laugh at the fact that I can't believe I'm hearing that. Well he comes back a final time and say okay we can refund you. All of this could have been dealt with by offering to re do it or make something else like any other great business would. I work retail I know people can be hard but when we screw up we remake something or refund the person. There's plenty of other amazing Mexican restaurants this Latina and her family can support, hopefully you can as well. read more
