THIS PLACE!!!! Yummy! To start, they recently had a name change... smile taco maybe? I can't remember now, but same location! The food here is incredible. Being a Californian with family from Mexico, this place really hit the spot. The carne asada is cooked perfectly! And it is affordable. It's just a little taco (and other foods) shop, not a big ol restaurant. You're coming for the food, not the ambiance (tho that is great in my opinion because novellas are playing in the TV). The shop is run by (what appears to be) a mother and teenage son, so please support this incredible shop! There is a parking lot, though parking is a bit limited in it, and there is street parking. We will definitely come back again and again and recommend to all our friends read more

Excellent tacos! Quick and fast service. Normally I love the green verde sauce but their red sauce is so flavorful with the right amount of smokiness and heat. read more

Hidden in this tiny strip mall off Beverly and Casino is this literal hole in the wall taco shop. The menu is sparse and options few, but in a pinch, it'll feed your belly. I ordered tacos, burritos and a quesadilla, but they also have sopes and flautas and a few other goodies too. The carnitas were good, al pastor was average, but the asada was lacking flavor..prices are low. Nice folk who work there and the sodas in the fridge are ice cold! 3.5 of 5 for me. read more

Amazing authentic Mexican food ! This place is now Taqueria feliz, with a sweet family running it. Everything is made to order and fast. Hole in the wall, perfect place to try. We have had the pupusas, huarache, tacos and super burrito. The pupusas and huarache are made from home made harina. So good ! Support this local gem. read more

We got the Al pastor tacos. It lacked flavor. The meat either needed to be seasoned more or marinated longer. The tacos look way more appetizing than they taste. The restaurant is run down. There's a water stain on the ceiling and it's also very small. There was also a hair on my lime when took the file off to eat them. read more

I have driven by this place for years and finally decided to give it a try. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Indoors is small with three 4-topper tables. Menu items are listed on the mounted white board. Alcoholic beverages are not an option here. I would never choose to sit down and eat my meal here. Food is made-to-order so allow some time when placing your order. I waited for 15-20 minutes for my to-go order. Customer service is zilch. Orders are placed at the counter with minimal words exchanged. I ordered a Carnitas Burrito Wrap for $6.99: pork, rice, beans, cilantro, onion and sour cream. The pork was tender and flavorful. The burrito as a whole was delicious and filling. Both salsa's (red and verde) had good flavor with a nice heat level. Overall, Taqueria El Pastor serves up some delicious carnita burritos at reasonable prices. I came here for the food and finished every bite happy that I chose to finally give Taqueria El Pastor a try. read more

I came because the reviews. Usually I assume when met with an bland greeting the food will be out of this world . Crazy how this was 15 minutes and was said by them that this a "large order" ‍ 4 tacos?? Be serious. I expected more flavor from the asada. Corn tortillas had no texture as if it wasn't warmed up prior. I hope this was just an off day. read more

Wow! This place is a gem. My family and I love authentic tacos. We like La Bamba in Marysville, taco trucks at various places. But lately we were not satisfied with places we visited because of too little meat or high prices. Today we are totally satisfied with all our needs. Their tacos have lots of meat, great flavor and cheap! Most tacos are $1.50 each. That's what I'm talking about. They have 2 kinds of salsa, salsa verde and salsa roja. Verde is perfect for me not too spicy not too mild, roja has a hint of chitpole and pretty hot! Be cautious. The place is rather small with 3 tables and 4 seatings at the counter. If this place fills up, you can always take out and eat at the nearby park. Don't forget the salsa to go though. Nice little taqueria I will come back for sure. read more

The customer service by owners that are present is very unpleasant they give you a nasty face and dirty look and has the odasary to say to get sauce from another table like they can't even give me a sauce for my own table. Ridiculous service I truly wish them well in their business. read more

Always prompt and polite. Food never disappoints. Love supporting a local small business. Fair price.

The owner changed, and so did the food. Customer service sucks and the food even worst. See the picture. I TRIED the place a few times with new ownership, but the last time the al pastor tacos tasted like leftover taco bell for babies (the meat was just a blob of mush). I don't even know if it's meat or artificial meat. When I say NO CEBOLLA (no onions), that doesn't mean put it on top anyways. Also, SEVEN tacos needs more lime and salsa!!!! The salsa container was the size of my tiny thumb. SAD my favorite taco place changed owners. I used to drive over an hour from Tacoma to Everett just for these al pastor tacos. :'( I miss the "mom and pop." Sweet older couple!!! read more

Very delicious authentic Mexican food! If you need your fix, this is the spot!! Very nice and friendly staff!

Taqueria El Pastor was okay, though I don't think I'll come back for seconds. First, I was disappointed to see that they didn't have Al Pastor meat on a spit, which is really the reason for me to seek this place out to begin with. You can order Tacos Al Pastor, but the meat comes from the fridge and is grilled to order. Second, this place is priced a little high. I paid $8.20 for 2 tacos with rice and beans, and a can of pop. If you're in the market for tacos, you can get 3 tacos plus a can of pop at Tacobook for $5.25, and frankly, they taste better. read more

Wow what a huge disappointment. This place is a dive not in a good way very dirty moldy ceiling tiles. I'm not against a dive place come on my favorite place is Los 3 Panchos in Toppenish. I was very excited to see that they had Al Pastor one of my favorite things to put in my mouth. I walk in and on the spit they have the "el pastor" with a peeled orange on top of it wait what that supposed to have a pineapple on it and the juice flows down over the meat as it cooks. So at this point I'm a little leery and order 4 tacos el pastor. I get home and open the styrofoam container and they look good(see pic). I start eating them and they are mostly made up of fat cubes, then pork cubes and beef cubes. Beef wtf? Oh well I saw the one poor review and thought well she just is mad or something but she was spot on about this mystery meat. I hope that this meal doesn't make me sick. I really wish I knew what all these people with 5 star reviews were talking about? There is much better taco trucks and taquerias in town. read more

The tacos is legit. I rarely use that word for any taqueria in WA. Here are the bullet points: ETHNICITY: The people told me that the owners are from Michoacan. There's a real famous taqueria in Seattle known for its Michoacan style tacos. TBH, I like this place more. Gotta give credit to los michoacanos...they sure do tacos right. MEAT: I tried carne asada, al pastor, and tripas. All of it was good. Very few places in WA have a trompo and this was the second time I actually seen the taquero cut the meat right off one. SALSA: Thick. Their salsa is some of the best in the Seattle metro and they definitely are packed with flavor. These salsas are way better than what you can find at the carniceria. SERVICE: The service sucks. To be honest, IDGAF about bad service. Legit tacos are hard to find and I'm willing to take the unfriendly service anytime. It's not like I'm there to make friends and I really don't like people kissing my bum. PARKING: It sucks. be conscious of where you park if you have a big vehicle. It's a tight lot. read more

Excellent little, I mean little restaurant. Not much seating but quality burrito. I had the carne asada, no arroz with Chile Toreados. If they have toreados, then it's pretty legit. Prices were very reasonable for the quality. Should have grabbed a few tacos, but will be back read more

A delicious whole in the wall. I was looking for a taco place nearby and this place came up with good reviews. This mom and pop shop fits about 20 people. We ordered the carne asada and the al pastor tacos. The tacos are less than $2 each (closer to $1.50) which is a pretty good deal. The tacos have a good serving of meat and has fresh cilantro and onions (and bits of pineapple in the al pastor I believe) with lime and radish and it came out quick! The owner (?) was really quick and didn't talk much but when we were eating he came by to check on us and gave us a little smile. I love these little mom and pop shops/local businesses. Price was great, tacos were delicious, I totally recommend this place! read more

I was gonna give this a 1 star but I'll give credit where credit is due. Tacos are delicious. Service is horrendous. Now don't get me wrong, I don't expect service that rivals any Michelin star restaurant when I go to a taco shop, but when the owners dont even bother TRYING to greet you with a smile (or at least faking one) even though you are a regular customer, but instead treat you very rudely, it speaks volumes about the type of people they are. Even though they recognize us, they never say hi or acknowledge us in any way. Every time we go we're greeted with a "what do you want". At first we figured it was because of the culture barrier (I'm asian) and we didn't think much of it... until we saw them greet every white person in line with an enthusiastic tone of voice and a smile the size of a half crescent moon. We also tipped them on a regular basis and never received one thanks. The one time we didn't, I caught the lady glaring at us. All in all, they are entitled, rude business owners and I won't be going back to them. Do they make good tacos? Yes. But I can find 3-4 authentic taco shops/trucks in the same area that make tacos on par with theirs but also come with genuinely nice people. read more

Read up on this place and decided I should give it a try. So glad I did. I got well cooked food with large portions and big flavor. I went with the number 1 combo which was two tacos (pastor), rice, beans and a can of soda for under $7. Customer service was good and very friendly all though a bit slow, but it was one guy working by himself and the place was full, so understandable. Place is tiny and parking was tight so it might be a better place to call in a ToGo order. Pros: Ample portions Friendly staff Quality food with full flavor Inexpensive Cons: Slower service Tiny place Tight parking lot read more

We were looking for a quick lunch spot after Boeing Future of Flight tour and found this place on Yelp. What a gem! I ordered beef & pork tacos and both were delicious and authentic. Summary: get the carnitas, no frills Mexican spot Atmosphere: small little set up. Real deal Mexican food. 3 tables and a bar against the window. Cuisine: 14 item menu plus 8 different tacos. We ordered the pastor and carnitas tacos and a non-alcoholic sangria. The pastor was lightly sweet and tangy with a kick. The carnitas was my favorite this time. The meat was perfectly cook, juicy, salty and full of spices. I recommend ordering a carnitas taco for sure. The Salsa verde is perfectly tangy and spice. Salas Rojo was also really good, spicier and also Smokey. read more

Another reviewer calls this a "mom and pop shop," and they're totally right. I ordered a cheese enchilada and asked for rice and beans on the side (there was a bit of confusion since it was "off menu," but it all worked out). This is relatively small mom and pop place. Place is clean and the food is great! Parking is a bit cramped but there always seem to be an open space or two. Just had lunch there. They had what must have been an old black and white Mexican Western movie from the 50's on the TV. Didn't understand a word of it but I enjoyed it like all get out.... The tacos we're spiced just right and the owners always bring out the refrigerated hot sauce red and green and let you know that the red one is very hot. Nice touch. Big plus is that while it's pretty small they don't seem to get over crowded even at lunch time and the food comes out promptly! It's just great food here. I went there because of all the great Yelp reviews and because it's the closest one to where I live and was'nt disappointed. Great place I plan on going back again and again. The tacos are filled just right too not too much and not too little. read more
