My wife and I finally stopped into Luna after what seemed an extremely long time under construction. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Credit cards are accepted with a 3% surcharge added to the transaction. Indoors is open and spacious and can easily accommodate large parties. Outdoor seating is also available during the nicer months. Luna does not offer a lounge/bar, happy hour or draft beer. Complimentary chips and salsa are provided to munch on while looking over the menu. The chips and salsa were decent; however, I prefer a spicier salsa. I had a bottle of Negra Modelo for $6. My wife had a Luna Margarita for $12.99. Drink prices are not listed on the menu. Unsure why that is. My wife ordered the One Item Combo for $12.99: Chicken Tamale (the only kind offered), rice, beans and Pico de Gallo. I ordered the Luna Burrito for $19.99: flour tortilla with ground beef, rice and beans. Covered in burrito sauce and melted cheese. Served with sour cream and Pico de Gallo. Portion sizes are comparable to other nearby Mexican restaurants. Prices are higher than usual. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, I'm glad we stopped into Luna. If we decide on Luna again, it will be for take-out rather than dine-in. I prefer Mexican restaurants that offer a lounge and such.

It seems that the owners of Luna actually listen to customer feedback on yelp. When I came in tonight the chips and salsa did not cost extra (which is something the only 1 star review called out). I also didnt notice a service fee for using my card. The TV was playing ESPN (Yay dodgeball and college basketball) but the volume was off. This place is super cute and I can't wait to check out the outdoor seating this summer. The food was really good, and while it seems expensive (what place isn't these days?) the pricing is actually fairly comparable to other sit down Mexican restaurants in the area. Yes the portions are smaller than other places but the food is really good, tastes much fresher, and is a heck of a lot less greasy. I'd rather pay a little more and not feel bloated and lethargic leaving the restaurant. As for the portion sizes my daughter and I shared the meal (3 tacos each) and still had enough to bring one home. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is that our server asked if we wanted guacamole with the chips and salsa before I had a chance to review the menu ($9.99), but it was really good and fresh so I'm not mad. I just wish I would have been informed of the cost ahead of time (I hate tomatoes in my guac, so I probably would have skipped it).

We have been seeing great ratings for this place and decided to try it out. We came in around 4pm on a Sunday. There were no cars in the parking lot or any customers inside. Their decor is simple and pretty. The large windows allow for great lighting. They also have an outside patio that would be great for the summer. We got sat by the window and got chips and salsa immediately. We ordered the Tamarindo Margarita, and the Pollo Asada Fajitas. The Margarita was not too sweet, and had the Tamarind rim. The fajitas came out sizzling. The portions were large and we were able to split between the 2 of us perfectly. We asked for hot sauce as the fajitas were mild. The hot sauce was a spicy Chipotle style. It had a delayed spice to it, but added the spice we were looking for. We got 7 tortillas out of the serving size. Our service was great. She was very accommodating as we could not have dairy on our meal, and when we asked for a couple more tortillas and the hot sauce. Definitely worth a try.

Campechana (cocktail with shrimp, octopus, and scallops), you can order it hot, warm or cold. In my opinion it tastes better cold.

I have been here a total of 3 times and food has never disappointed!! Their Choriqueso tastes like Mexico's chorizo. My favorite thing to get is a Campechana and I like to order it cold. Their margaritas are also pretty good and they alway have a good mix of music playing. The staff is super friendly. This is definitely one of my favorite places for Mexican food and count on returning.

First off, all of the waiters and waitresses were absolutely amazing. They were very attentive and took great care of us. Their friendly attitude really set the tone for this restaurant. The place was nice and clean, with pretty decor. As for the food, their chips and salsa were flavorful. Guacamole was very simple, with chopped avocados as opposed to smashed but we still enjoyed it. I ordered the surf and turf which was very tasty! The shrimp was great quality, sautéed with garlicky mushrooms which paired well with my medium cooked carne. Horchata tasted a bit watery but still enjoyed it. I would definitely visit this place again. Thank yall for a great experience!

The service was very prompt and friendly, and the waiter was super cool. The food was 10/10, very good (I got the vegetarian burrito, not spicy at all!) the pico that came with it has a bit of a kick, I believe it has nopales as well The atmosphere is great, quiet and upscale- very much worth a visit

Terrible service, loud music. Rude as hell. Food was disgusting. I could see in the back and it looked filthy.

Not one minute earlier or later, which makes sure your food is fresh when you're supposed to be there. Inside there are many tables for one person to sit or I think up to 6 people to sit. Lots of seating for any group size! I usually get the medium tenders and my sister gets medium wings. The sauce is very good - balances out how spicy these can get. I feel like I have a pretty high spice tolerance but I am afraid to go higher honestly. I like the spiced fries add on, I think they are very worth it. A good amount and they are very tasty. The box also comes with a piece of white bread on the bottom to soak up any excess juices or spices. I don't know if you're meant to eat it but I do :) The chicken is always very juicy, whether you get the tenders or the wings. At least for the tenders, it's a kind of melt in your mouth chicken. And paired with how spicy it can get, it is overall a very nice dish. I think the prices are not egregious and the food is worth the price. We come back every time we're craving good, spicy chicken. And for getting three tenders I'm unable to eat all of it so I'm able to finish the rest for dinner :)

Ordered Cadillac margaritas which came out quickly, not very strong, good flavor overall (not too sweet). Chips and salsa were good, guacamole could use more lime. Shared a chile relleno which was standard. Daughter ordered pollo a la crema which was not overly creamy, chicken was tender. Sister got albondigas (meatball soup), broth had a nice roasted corn base. I ordered their menudo which came with tender (clean tasting) intestines, and one pata (foot). I added some of their chili oil which was smoky and balanced. Tried their other salsitas which were also good, habanero had good heat and pineapple had a nice touch of sweetness.

In short The name helps a lot--it really is a family place,…read morelots of booths and tables packed into one dining room. But the kitchen is doing a ton of great things from scratch and the menu is huge. It's way more than just a corner Mexican spot. In long The ratings have been high forever and we've been wanting to try it for at least a year. Finally found ourselves with the right amount of time in the right location yesterday. We caught them after the lunch rush, and dude was super nice to come out and hold the door so I could wheel my bride in. There are a few flatscreens up, and in back there are single-occupant washrooms. It's not a big room, but it's festive and they clearly have regulars, judging by the warm greetings are a couple more tables filled up. We had our pick of tables and we settled in to go over the hugely long menus. Do you want something familiar or something fewer places offer? The kitchen runs the gamut here. You get fresh, light chips on the table with some delicious scratch salsa that even packs a bit of heat. We finally settled on pozole and tacos al carbon. They bring out avocado salsa and pineapple salsa, which both add a ton of good flavor. The red table salsa is where the heat is, though. The tacos were delicious, tons of juicy chopped steak inside. I went with this overly-safe pick and didn't regret it at all. The pozole was incredible, lots of real bone stewed in with the meat, tons of great flavor in the broth and super soft, tender, flavorful pork. Lots of tasty condiments. Beautifully homey and comforting soup to warm your bones on a cold wet day. We took more than half of it home--very generous portion. We also checked out a margarita and a mai tai, and both were excellent. You really have to try the food here to get the full effect of how good it is. You can kinda tell the kitchen is ambitious by reading the menu online, and that's promising for sure. But all those house-made scratch touched throughout every subrecipe will exceed even high expectations like ours. Great place, and we're dumb for taking so long to try it.
