    Bento box 2

Really juicy fried chicken with great sauces and friendly staff! The little shop is putting out some of the best chicken and the bento gives you tons of variety for the best lunch! The interior can fit a few individuals, but I would not recommend a group to sit. If you work in the area, this should be a usual spot!

A tiny hole-in-the-wall business, but the owner was friendly, the food arrived promptly, and it was pretty good for fast food. I got the bibimbap ... beef was fine, sauce was ok, lots of veggies, plenty of rice - a big lunch. It's nothing special, but better than lots of the other nearby fast-food.

My bf and I stopped by here to grab a quick bite. She shared the Korean Fried Chicken Bowl. It was tasty. We really enjoyed it. There were many other items on the menu we wanted to also try. Service was great and very friendly.

This place is such a gem!!! The food here is amazing, the portions are great, the staff is incredibly friendly, and there is ample parking. We got the fried garlic chicken which was really great! It comes with cheese on it which I wish I would've known because I'm lactose intolerant, but I'm not even mad because it was delicious. The Korean fried chicken is also great and slightly spicy. The bulgogi is also really great but could use both more sugar and salt. We'd eat all of it again and again, so delicious!! Oh this is mostly a take out spot, there is some seating but not much.

    Chicken tenders

This is my second review. Just updating with some pictures and new dish. The owners, husband and wife Denny and Mrs. Young still helm the kitchen and front. They did some reorganizing and there are some chairs and counter space mixed in plus t.v. Menus. Denny is in the kitchen, constantly putting out great food and creating spectacular dishes. I've been privy to some in the works innovations. His newest dish was his take on a classic delectable: chicken tenders. There is a promotional poster out front stating a classic version and Korean inspired version. When I ordered the chicken tenders I was going to do both but only the classic was available. I did the 10 piece. I also ordered the Korean fried chicken plate as well. The tenders were moist, tender and had a very light crisp batter. I was given two sides of their dipping sauce. Not spicy at all. Very savory and paired well together. The Korean fried dish was heaping with a good amount of fried chicken pieces , slathered in a sweet, tangy somewhat spicy sauce. It was sided with white rice which is always a great accompaniment. The dish was served with a serving of miso soup and a side salad with sesame dressing. This place is a gem in Everett that if you know, you're in good hands. I highly recommend this place.

I've never went out of my way to leave a review before but this spot was absolutely amazing and it was so good I felt the need to say something. I got a garlic fried chicken combo and it was love at first sight. Juicy great quality chicken and the portions were hugeee. The owner was also super friendly and kind. Will most definitely be back. Don't even think about it JUST GO!

It was our first time trying this teriyaki hole in the wall restaurant tonight. We did take out. The honey garlic chicken was unique in taste. We liked the garlic flavor of the sauce. The cheese on top of the chicken was a twist but couldn't really taste its flavor. It made the presentation unique though. The beef teriyaki was very mediocre in taste, although it was very tender. Overall it was a solid 3 stars for us but we look forward to trying their other dishes.

The food here is so good! Very well balanced. I got the Korean fried chicken bowl. The gyozas were plump and juicy. The rice was super wet. The salad was fresh. The chicken was crispy and tender. With garlic and spice.

    Glass

Update: I don't know what the owner is talking about, because this is very obviously glass and it made the roof of my mouth bleed. Notice how he doesn't even offer to refund my meal. I still have the glass piece. This used to be my favorite place, but I literally just pulled a sharp piece of glass out of my mouth from a to-go box with Korean fried chicken. I'm really fortunate it got stuck in the roof of my mouth and I didn't swallow it. Be careful. To the restaurant, throw out any food that was around broken glass or open bags of rice.

Subject: Disappointed Review of Gold Chicken in Everett I wanted to share my recent experience at Gold Chicken in Everett, as I believe it is important to provide feedback. After hearing about the rave reviews on Yelp, my family and I decided to give it a try. We always have a friendly competition where we rate all the food and restaurants we visit. To begin with, I would like to mention that Gold Chicken is a carry-out only establishment, as there is limited space for dining in. As a family of four, it felt quite cramped once we entered. In terms of taste, as a family, we collectively rated the food a 7 out of 10. However, I must admit that the presentation of the to-go bowls and the way the food was packed was impeccable, earning a solid 10 in that aspect. Unfortunately, the question we asked ourselves as a family was whether we would return, and regrettably, the answer is no. It is difficult to explain, but there was something off in the flavor of the beef and chicken dishes; they did not meet our expectations despite their appealing appearance. Additionally, I want to make you aware that Gold Chicken is more of a "hole in the wall" type of establishment, where cleanliness does not seem to be a priority. In conclusion, sometimes appearances can be deceiving, as something that looks good may not always taste good. I felt it was important to share our honest feedback so that improvements can potentially be made. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Don't overlook the zucchini- it cooks into the dish so well. We ordered the kimchi pancake, short rib soup with potatoes and glass noodles, and fried beef brisket (spice level 2/4). The kimchi pancake was overly breaded and tasted like it had been fried in reused oil. The short rib soup was the safest dish of the night, but the beef was still chewy rather than tender, the glass noodles were minimal, and the broth was extremely salty with a noticeable MSG-like taste. The fried beef brisket was heavily sauced, overly salty, and far spicier than a mild level should be. The beef itself tasted far from fresh and was very tough to chew. The appetizers were among the most basic I've seen at any Korean restaurant in the Greater Seattle area. Even then, the kimchi lacked depth and tasted unfresh, with sourness that felt more like age than proper fermentation. What made the experience even stranger was when the server asked how everything was. We tried to respond politely, and the server simply said, "I'm with you." Korean food is not rare in this area, and the prices here are on the higher side. With that context, the quality is difficult to justify. To be fair, the space is decent for group gatherings, large space, and the staff were friendly. But food is the most basic standard for a restaurant, and unfortunately it fell far below expectations. I genuinely don't understand how this place has such high ratings.
