What a fantastic Korean fusion restaurant located in the heart of downtown Everett. I tried the big bang sandwich. It's a spicy beef with a slaw served on a burger style bun. The meat reminded me of the spicy sauce that Korean spicy pork bulgogi is made from, but toned down a bit to not be as spicy. The slaw complemented the meat perfectly. This sandwich was just the right size and it came with a side of ruffles style potato chips. I'd like to try some of the other traditional Korean dishes the next time I come back. read more

A good Korean spot in downtown Everett! There's plenty of seating and the service is great! The employees are so nice and welcoming. Food came out quick, though we went for lunch during a work day so we were the only ones eating there. My friend got the kalbi (I thought it wasted ok) and I got the bulgogi which lacked flavor and there definitely wasn't enough rice to eat with the dish. We also got the egg rolls which were ok. For the price, you'd think they would be bigger or there would be more egg rolls. Overall, food was ok. I may be back to try other menu items. read more

Parking: There are some paid lots around the restaurant and free street parking for 90 minutes on the surrounding streets. My friends and I opted for the latter option. We were greeted as we entered and had access to the menus right away, as they are placed at the entrance. We got seated and were able to order quickly. We came at a non-peak time so we were at the front of the queue so to speak. The restaurant is very clean. The bathrooms are also very clean, which I love to see. It shows me the business really cares about how it comes across. Our food was prepared and served very fast. My friend was still in the restroom by the time it had come. As you can see from the image, my Japchaebap was awesome. (Order with tofu if you're vegan) I got mild spice just because I am sensitive to *too much* spice. But as someone who enjoys spice I couldn't really perceive it. So if you have a good spice tolerance I'd suggest you up the spice one more level than you would think. The flavoring was great, but I don't really like the noodle texture. I prefer them with more weight. It was a slight challenge getting them onto the fork, and it being stable enough to put into your mouth. Just something to consider when choosing your dish. I'm still glad I chose to experience the dish. Maybe I'll learn to like this style of noodle. Special note if you're vegan too: the kimchi has shellfish, so skip any menu items with the asterisks that have kimchi in the ingredients. Thankfully my friends caught that because I would've missed it as it's below another note. read more

So glad I picked this spot for lunch. My disorder and I were looking for something new. She goes to the coffee shop next door pretty regularly and was not sure why she had never stopped in here. The server was very attentive and sweet. It was very clean inside. It actually took us a bit longer than usual to choose due to the fact that so many things looked good. I ended up getting the Coco curry rice spicy with chicken. It was soooo good. So much flavor and enough spice to be able to enjoy the flavor. I was planning on eating only part of it so I could have some later, but ended up finishing it all. My sister said the burger was fantastic, it looked good, but I was too engulfed in my noodles. I looked back behind the counter to see such a large collection of aged stouts. I thought it was a little weird for the type of establishment, but realistically if I was here for dinner I probably would have ordered one. This is a cute restaurant in Everett. I'm between a 3 and a 4 because the dish was all excellent except for the vegetables which were pretty raw and not sautéed. I understand in bibimbap but this one did say on the menu that the vegetables were fried (I assumed stir fried). The broccoli while I have eaten raw before, is not my favorite so I mostly left this un eaten. The star of the show was the salmon and this was excellent!! Very moist and the sauce was perfect. The brown rice was also perfectly cooked. Staff were so friendly and the place is clean and very open. I'd come back here again and try the other dishes. Came here for lunch on a saturday morning and it wasn't busy at all. Was seated promptly and I got the kimchi fried rice with pork. The rice had a good texture and was not too soft. I liked the pork they included, it was relatively thinly sliced and decently crispy. I got the spicy version and it wasn't that spicy for me, and my spice tolerance isn't that good. Disenchanted by the hard boiled eggs I had packed for lunch, I instead decided to convince my coworker to go to Cafe uu for lunch today. By the time I ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice with pork belly, I had changed my mind nearly 3 times on what to order, because everything sounded so good. Wasn't expecting it to be busy at nearly 1pm but there was a large party adjacent to us, as well as guests at a couple other tables, and as the server explained to us, they were short-staffed, so it took longer than expected for us to place our order and get our food (maybe 20-25 minutes). But once our food came, we were impressed with the portion sizes - my coworker who ordered the chapchaebap commented on how we could have shared one entree. The pork belly in my entree was seasoned wonderfully, and the kimchi fried rice was a good amount of spicy - not too overbearing as I often fear. When we asked for boxes to pack the leftovers, the server brought out a small plate of cut up seaweed, apologizing for having omitted it from my dish earlier. She was so incredibly sweet! I wish we hadn't been so rushed to return to work. I'd love to come back some time to try the dinner options! read more

i was on vacation in seattle when my friend and i took a bus up to everett for the day (funko HQ, laura palmer's house). after walking around for a bit, we were hungry and strolled info cafe uu thinking it was a dark pub or bar... we were very wrong, lol. the staff was so welcoming and the restaurant itself is so modern and comfortable. my friend ordered the general tso chicken and i got the coconut curry w rice. for what this place is, we almost felt guilty for getting non-creative/fusion food, but omg was the food SO GOOD. like, the next time i'm in seattle, i'd absolutely travel back up to evertt just to eat there again. hands down -- top 3 curry dishes i've ever had. i wish i had ordered some to go, lol. deeeeeeelish! read more

Went to Cafe UU on a date night! Check hours, when we went they were only doing dinner from 5-8 on Friday and Saturday. They do have a regular lunch service though, although it is a different menu I have not tried. Amazing food and great atmosphere. Everything we tried was delicious. We tried a variety of things as you can see by the photos so I am not going to break the all down. It was all very good and tasty! There were different textures and taste in everything we tried. Visited Café uu for the first time! It was awesome. Love these little downtown Everett restaurants that are using the natural brick walls inside for a nice atmosphere with character. Nice comfortable seating inside, too. The menu was varied with vegetarian options in addition to options with meat. The food was lovingly prepared close by (within view) and served with care. So delicious! I ordered the chapchaebop with chicken. Outstanding flavor and good- sized portion. I will definitely be back. Ok so, this place has weird hours and is a bit nondescript on the outside but once you get past those two hurdles, the effort is truly worth it! The pork belly tacos were to die for! The Big Bang sandwich with beef was messy, but the standout item of our lunch for sure, and my wife's coconut curry sweet potato noodles were delicate and balanced with a good amount of sauce while being cooked to perfection. Usually, I am hesitant because even with amazing food, an expensive price can put me off. This place has it ALL! Reasonable prices for delicious food. We even had leftovers.
