i was on vacation in seattle when my friend and i took a bus up to everett for the day (funko HQ, laura palmer's house). after walking around for a bit, we were hungry and strolled info cafe uu thinking it was a dark pub or bar... we were very wrong, lol. the staff was so welcoming and the restaurant itself is so modern and comfortable. my friend ordered the general tso chicken and i got the coconut curry w rice. for what this place is, we almost felt guilty for getting non-creative/fusion food, but omg was the food SO GOOD. like, the next time i'm in seattle, i'd absolutely travel back up to evertt just to eat there again. hands down -- top 3 curry dishes i've ever had. i wish i had ordered some to go, lol. deeeeeeelish! read more

Visited Café uu for the first time! It was awesome. Love these little downtown Everett restaurants that are using the natural brick walls inside for a nice atmosphere with character. Nice comfortable seating inside, too. The menu was varied with vegetarian options in addition to options with meat. The food was lovingly prepared close by (within view) and served with care. So delicious! I ordered the chapchaebop with chicken. Outstanding flavor and good- sized portion. I will definitely be back. Ok so, this place has weird hours and is a bit nondescript on the outside but once you get past those two hurdles, the effort is truly worth it! The pork belly tacos were to die for! The Big Bang sandwich with beef was messy, but the standout item of our lunch for sure, and my wife's coconut curry sweet potato noodles were delicate and balanced with a good amount of sauce while being cooked to perfection. The place was very clean and we enjoyed the staffs thoughtful approach to everything. We will definitely be back! read more

Lunch only, wonderful Korean food. Had one chicken and one beef Bibimbap with brown rice, and not just any brown rice but short-grain brown rice which isn't always easy to find. It was all delicious and beautifully presented. The interior is rustic, modern, tasteful; service is prompt and friendly; good menu options. My SO moved to Everett recently and we walked by this place a lot, not knowing what it was. Ended up looking it up one day and saw it had AMAZING reviews so we had to try it, and let me tell ya, it did not disappoint! Walked to this fine establishment so cannot comment on parking availability. The restaurant is cozy and intimate. We sat by a window and service was prompt. This place is an easy 5 stars. Usually, I am hesitant because even with amazing food, an expensive price can put me off. This place has it ALL! Reasonable prices for delicious food. We even had leftovers. Based on the numerous Yelp 5-star reviews, my daughter and I decided to check out Cafe Uu before our matinee show at the Village Theater. We arrive Saturday morning at 11:10 am. Two other tables were occupied. We ordered the coconut curry noodles with beef ($15), the breakfast pizza ($13) and a pot of tea to share ($5). There were 3 staff members: owner, waitress, and maybe assistant cook? It appeared the owner was the only one cooking. Our food arrived 45 minutes later which was way too long given they weren't that busy. I asked the waitress if this was unusual but she said no. The noodles were flavorful but a tad bit salty. The pizza which should have had tomato sauce came with diced cherry tomatoes instead so it lacked flavor. For us, it was good to try once but will most likely not return. read more

I have to say, I'm rarely inspired to review restaurants, but this place is so unique that I felt the need to share it. The flavors are phenomenal! I've been a repeat customer not just for this reason but also because I love the ambiance of the space, the lady that serves us is so sweet and the prices are great, while the food is even better! Randomly ended up here after standing in line for Funkon II to warm up and get breakfast. It has a really nice vibe. It is very close to the Funko headquarters in Everett. Since it was breakfast time, I got the breakfast pizza, the kimchi fried rice with bacon and a large Irish breakfast black tea. The food was really good. The kimchi fried rice was cooked with good flavor. The bacon was amazing. The breakfast pizza was amazing. It isn't made with flour dough but Yukon gold potatoes and corn wheat tortilla instead. The tomatoes were fresh. The eggs were cooked right. There is also the amazing bacon as well. I think it might be honey smoked? Not sure. Price was not too bad. Overall had a great experience. I've been meaning to check this place out and now I'm sorry I waited so long. There's no sign outside that I saw so I parked on Wetmore and went by the address alone. It looked closed from the outside but it was open and when I opened the door the smell was heavenly!! There were three other tables of diners who all had their food. I was immediately greeted by a woman who took my order with a smile and told me it would just be a few minutes. The kitchen is visible from the doorway so I was able to watch my food being cooked. Sure enough, it was ready in about 5-10 minutes. First, there was a lot of food in that to go box. Easily three lunches for me. The food was hot and fresh and I could hardly wait to dig in. There was so much flavor and each ingredient was cooked to perfection. The chicken looked like thigh meat. No fat or gristle just perfectly seasoned meat. Amazing food at a reasonable price. Wow! So glad we tried this place! It's Korean fusion that puts a modern twist on traditional flavors. The four of us got 4 different dishes and all were varied and incredible! My Pibimpap was packed with fresh veggies and meat and came with spicy Kochujang sauce. The Kalbi ribs were grilled to perfection and came with a refreshing slaw. The hours of operation are short, but if you have the time to enjoy a nice lunch, I highly suggest checking out Café uu. I had the Coco sandwich with tofu and was shocked at how much I enjoyed it! I'm typically a meat person when it comes to a sandwich especially when going out, but I decided to try the tofu as a substitute. I was VERY HAPPY with my decision and may have a hard time trying a different sandwich next time I return. In addition to the great food, the restaurant layout is very unique and adds to the experience (my opinion). The brick wall and open style kitchen is a fun/relaxing vibe and feels like a perfect place to enjoy a meal with a friend. I highly recommend visiting if you can get away from work for an hour or so.
