I have never met a woman that works harder AND yields such amazing outcomes with her menu. To get through COVID is an accomplishment as a restaurant and you can trust that the food is good and a restaurant owner cares about their work to survive. I bring EVERYONE I meet with to this Cafe uu. I love the Curry Noodles with the coconut curry sauce and sweet potato noodles. The JapChae is excellent as is the KimChi Rice! One of my favorites is the Big Bang Tofu Sandwich. I eat meat and opt for the tofu here every time. It is messy and OH SO worth it. Sometime, I have to break out utensils after I go through my pile of napkins. The SSS tofu is a business line that helped Cafe uu to make it and I buy it locally at the co-op. Cafe UU has epic food. Wow. Found this place while looking for parking going to the theater. Quiet place for dinner on a Friday - considering how great the food was should have been busier. Had the Kalbi ribs & curry noodles with pork belly - amazing! Hit the spot! Ribs were sweet and delicious, chewed the bones dry. Noodles were great too! Im eating the leftovers now. Sad we were in a rush for the show, wish we had more time for apps and desert. Next time! Hidden gem of downtown Everett. Best date spot in Everett I've found and by luck! This meal was divine!! My brother and I ordered the tofu chapchae and the coconut curry chicken chapchae. First off we ordered to go and I'm pretty sure the boxes were 5lbs. I don't actually know but it was a lot of food! Both were amazing. We moaned through the entire meal. It was hands down the best tofu I've ever had. So juicy and full of flavor. Portions are ginormous. Staff was super patient with us. We got the kimchi jeon (pancake) and it tasted just like my moms. Full of all the nostalgic flavors of my childhood. The sauce it came with was seasoned really well and I liked the chunks of bell peppers and onions (and whatever else was in there). I prefer my pancakes to be extra crunchy so I must remember ask for that the next time I'm craving a taste of home cooking. For entrees we got the buckwheat noodle bowl with pork belly and the kimchi rice with chicken. The noodle bowl was good. All of the veggies were great. The buckwheat noodles were too soft for my liking and I wished that there was more sauce (from the pork belly? It was yummy) and maybe a few drops of sesame oil. Usually a bibimbap bowl has gochujang sauce and this one didn't which I was ok with but in the end something was missing! The kimchi rice was yummy. Had all of the right flavors but maybe bc there was so much of it, it was a little one note. Needed something to break it up. Otherwise, really yummy! read more

Stumbled upon Cafe UU for lunch on the way to one of my favorite places, Cafe Narrative next door. wasn't sure the type of restaurant in walking in but was pleasantly surprised by some delicious sounding Korean fusion choices on the menu. I ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice with Pork, Med. Hot. It was very good both in presentation and taste. The spiciness was just perfect and the portion bigger than I imagined but hit the spot. The cafe has a nice vibe too with modern design and jazz playing in the background. They had a wine and small local beer selection which was nice. I am hoping they could add a Korean beer or Soju option in the future as well. I am a fan of Korean food but like Korean restaurants since the ones nearby in Lynnwood are usually more of a busy and casual experience. This place was a neat surprise. We came by for lunch today. The menu had a few burgers and sandwiches that had a Korean flair to them, which drew us in. I ordered the Big Bang Sandwich, containing tender thinly sliced juicy beef in a spicy red sauce with onions and greens. The wait was longer than expected... seemed like there was only one lady working in the kitchen. In any case, the wait was well worth it because the sandwich was delicious. Seems to be unknown to many so thought I'd add a review. Cafe uu is tucked next to narrative coffee and has a great interior aesthetic. The real draw is the food, which has been delicious and consistent the few times I've been in to dine. I'll need to try their dinner service, but lunch and brunch menus will make your mouth water. People seem to like it, and I dont know why. I got the tofu lunch combo and my boyfriend got the tofu burger. Mine came out cold. This was after someone who ordered after us got their food before us. The food was bland and over priced. The only reason they're big portions is because theyre 95% filler food like rice. I got approximately 1 cup of fried tofu for 10 dollars, and it wasnt even good. My tofu was cold, obviously came pre-fried, and seemed to only be flavored with pepper. I expect better quality food from a place like this. So disappointed. My boyfriend, wo ordered the tofu burger, said it was an awful combination. The french fries were hilariously bad. Soggy, greasy, and undercooked. That was 14$. Nothing about my experience here was good, and being charged 24$ on top of it was a slap in the face. read more

I've been watching the construction of this place for some time and was excited to try it once I saw the menu. The interior is very nice, clean and open with a good view of the kitchen. First time coming in it was quiet but the servers were friendly and helped with suggestions. The whole menu was reasonably priced (between 10 and 20 dollars but having large portions). I tried The Green Rice my first visit and right away was impressed by the quality of the ingredients. The next day I came back to try the Coconut Curry Sweet Potato Noodles with tofu and loved it. The coconut was nice and subtle, while the tofu was perfectly cooked and everything was mildly sweet but not overwhelming. A big plus for me was that the noodles made great leftovers, having a slight pop to them that I don't normally get from most noodle shops in the area. I'm excited to see how this place grows, and really hope more people check it out and promote high quality ingredients in Everett. read more

We went for dinner last night and got a few dishes and all were awesome! We had the beef pancakes which came with a couple sauces that were great. We also had some Korean style sushi also good. We split the coconut curry noodle bowl. It was a very big portion and a lighter dish with sweet potato noodles. They were awesome. The wine selection was good as we split a bottle. They also had a few taps. The staff were all very nice and helpful. This place felt like a place Everett really will like. When I examined the menu I was a little disappointed not to see Korean fried chicken, but they have Korean style wings as an app and they were wonderful big portion the sauce on the wings wasn't very spicy but it was delicious! My wife and son both ordered the butter burger, again big portion and delicious! Comes with fries I ordered the pibim noodle bowl, extra spicy! holy crap it was huge loaded with buckwheat noodle and a ton of veggies, got mine with pork belly. Overall the price was good especially considering the amount of food you get, 3 mains, 1 app, 2 beers 75 bucks. I took half my dinner home, my wife took half her burger. We started with the scallion, red onion and cabbage jeon, which were crispy, tasty and well-presented. And, we shared the Green Rice Bowl (green because of all the greens and veggies!) with pork belly, and the Coconut Curry Sweet Potato Noodles. This place was sooo good!!!! We tried the chicken wings, the kimchi rice bowl with pork belly and the kimchi pancake.. ooohh my. I can't wait to go back. And the prices were really really decent. There weren't many people there when we went for an early dinner so service was pretty fast.. for how long it takes to make the dishes fresh. Also love the ambience! The decor looks great. Only tip sitting by the window is really cold without a crowd to heat up the place. Moved to a table away from the window and it was better. The portion sizes are great (easily could have shared one meal), service was excellent and they even brought out extras like veggies, dips, salt and spicy chili oil to taste.
