Large fries
Cheol K.

What a novel idea to use buns made from the dough you would expect from a traditional Chinese style bao bun. I ordered this through door dash so I keep in mind that everything would be even hotter and crispier if I had it right away. First, the double bacon smash was so flavorful! I love the sauce they put on it. I can't figure out what it was as it even had a bit of spice to it, which I appreciate. The bao bun is a bit chewier than a standard potato bun, which helps it to hold its shape. My kid had the loco moco burger and he loved the flavor as well. The fries had some green sauce on them which I didn't expect. In looking at the menu, they offer chimchuri sauce. This was a pleasant surprise. I liked that. The fries are crinkle cut and helped to keep the sauce in there. The tater tots were super crispy, even after getting them delivered. I'd like to try some of the other burgers at my next go round.

I was always pass by this place and decided to try it. This is such a hidden gem and I will be coming back here to eat more! We ordered the chicken sando and the Krueban. Everything was super yummy and the sauce made the sandwiches super flavorful. This place feels more like a take out place since it doesn't have lots of seating or parking so I would keep that in mind. Otherwise, the service is super quick and there are many unique menu items.

Seriously a hidden gem. Limited seating but so worth it. Or get it to go. Unique flavorful sandwiches. The pork on the banh mi was delicious! Tender and well seasoned. A nice twist on a traditional banh mi while still very much recognizable. Chimichurri fries were very garlicky and delicious. I would recommend eating those fresh or sauce on the side. Everything was fresh and made to order. I will definitely be going again to try more of the menu! Friendly staff. There is a small amount of covered out door seating. Everything is high top which is a bit of challenge with little kids.

Braised Pork Bahn Mi!

My first time at Bao Boss won't be my last! The inside of the restaurant is small and clean. I ordered immediately after deciding on the Braised Pork Bahn Mi. It had a lot of unorthodox flavors, and was indeed a pretty big sandwich. The tots were fresh, I could hear the cook drop them after I ordered. The lady who took and delivered my order was very friendly too. I will be back for sure!

It was good. I was in the area and I remembered hearing about this place over the past month. OK, got a boss burger. The bun they use for the burgers are a bao bun. They make it themselves. The seasoning immediately puts it above the standard burger. The burger was more than enough. I took the tater tots I purchased home for the next day. I met Daniel, and he answered all my questions. I learned they have a bunch of original sauces. I'll be trying those in the near future.

So, these guys are hilarious & the food is amazing! Let me explain. We walk in, and I tell the first person how much we've been wanting to try the food, and he literally stares us down & says "ok", then walked off haha. We notice that the space only has maybe 4 or 5 tables, and they are designed for "we don't want you to stay here" lol - extremely tall tables & those rickety, unstable tall metal stools. My SO fell over at least once, trying to scooch in closer to the table & help his dad. Maybe twice when he had to jump up quick & catch something his dad dropped by accident. When taking our order, the lady there was extra gruff, and more than twice told me we couldn't have something a specific way lol. I think it might have been stuff like extra cheese, go easy on the sauce, etc. But they had no problem giving us extra sauces & a knife when we needed to cut pop's food. Anyway, the menu is slightly limited, but amazing options. We got a huge basket of torigachi seasoned tots first, so delicious, and Korean spicy ketchup - so good on the tots! A bit later two mushroom burgers & the HUGEST chicken katsu burger came out. OMG I swear it weighed like 3 pounds! The cutlet was several inches over each side, and the burger was literally too big to bite, so I took pop's knife & cut off some slices & dipped them in the side of katsu sauce I got. Good goddamn it was good! It was too intimidating to try to eat. I was shook. So I went back to the tots. All the sauces tasted fresh made too. The other two's burgers were awesome as well & they couldn't finish. We had ordered cans of coke & a couple of fresh made bottled Vietnamese coffees, and when we didn't get them out of the cooler fridge fast enough, the lady came out & slammed them on the table haha! So, we had a ton of good to take home & asked for a bag, and the lady sneered that they only had paper bags. The bags were hella thin & topped, so the SO had to juggle a ton of stuff because the lady didn't offer another bag lol. On the way out I made a point to tell guy #2 how much we loved the food. He scoffed & shrugged, then walked off. All in all it was very entertaining and the food is BOMB. I'm ordering to go next time for sure - the atmosphere is far from relaxing, so no point trying to stick around to eat in. Five stars for the shtick alone!

Hole in the wall, simple to adventurous burger/sando selection. Tried their Ruben that had korean flair to it and a classic burger both super yummy will be back again. Counter person recommended the chimichurri fries and they were amazing. Grab and go or eat there in their covered outdoor patio.

Burger was good. Super messy but good. Lady at the counter was nice. Place is a little rough around the edges. There's a few tables to sit at.

Menu

Everything is wonderful you can't beat the Smashburger and the fries is hot and you get a whole lot of them and it was delicious. And this wonderful food have the nerve to have great music planned too. Princess is playing in the background. This was a good day and a good meal.

We were so excited to try this place, the reviews makes it sound amazing. But unfortunately, we were left very disappointed. The idea is execution is great but the idea doesn't necessarily make sense. - everything was over packed with sweet pickles that overpowered everything. - the burgers/ sandwiches all had Lebanese garlic sauce which left everything tasting a bit heavy with curry. -the bao was crumbly and not fresh -everything was a bit over seasoned and greasy Overall there were too many competing flavors that didn't work with each other. Pretty disappointing.

Waiting for that smash!!

I love Bao boss, the food though not exactly healthy, is very good, very tasty. I love their tater tots with the spicy Korean ketchup. I get a basic smash burger, which are fantastic with lots of onions. Everything else I've tried here has been love their take on a Ruben, the Kreuben, overall this is a great spot and I can't believe I waited so long to try it the staff is great, and They even have beer!!

I loved that I saw at least six versions of my childhood dining room table, which felt so nostalgically comfortable that I wanted to crawl under one with my coloring books and my chocolate milk. But I digress -- you're supposed to be reading my review. I decided that I was in the mood for grilled cheese and tomato soup, so that's what I ordered. The tomato soup is really amazing -- so fresh tasting and delicious. But the sandwich was next level nom-ness. I opted to get it on sourdough because it's the best for dunking into the soup. Totes 'lish (I just thought I would type like one of the cool kids!! In conclusion, I want to talk about the service -- ordering was fairly simple, and the varied menu made it exciting to know there are so many choices. You order in line and the incredible wait staff brings the food quite quickly. With the vibe, the service and all the things, I am definitely coming back.

It definitely worked on me - usually specials are relegated to a small corner of the menu, but here they are front and center. I couldn't resist and so I got the Pot Roast Dip. It's a sandwich that has a good amount of pot roast, some bacon jam that's glued together with provolone and Swiss cheese all on a Giuseppe roll (From Macrina Bakery? It's a crust roll). The bacon jam and sandwich dressing makes the sandwich really sweet, but the Angus sauce is very salty, and so when the sandwich is dipped it all balances out interestingly enough. It was good to try, but I think I'll order something else next time. I also got a Mocha latte- very smooth and delicious. I would get this again! Their bathrooms are shared with the rest of the building - the code is at the cashiers. The wifi password is right next to it too. You grab a menu, wait in line to order, and then they bring your food to you. Bus your own table when you're done. Solid spot.

My friend moved to downtown Everett last year and is still exploring the area. She told me about…read morethe vegan joint nearby that she hadn't been to yet. We're both omnivores who eat a fair amount of plant-based fare for health reasons (I have allergies and intolerances, she's heeding doctor's advice). To be clear, this is a cafe, not a full blown restaurant. They serve luncheon fare, but it's a small operation so be either patient to don't bother - especially if there's a line. It's counter ordering with payment expected in advance. The tables closest to the window are a *little* harrowing because of the ADA ramp that leads to the door: the closest chairs can teeter down the ramp if the chairs are pushed back too far. Be careful. There are huge, regular, and small tables available. The biggest table is a little tricky to navigate for folks who want to sit in the booth side, but once seated it's quite lovely. I ordered the Pesto Pasta (involving zoodles: zucchini noodles) and a Sun Juice. My friend ordered the Grilled Cheese and Bisque. Please note: it's worth looking around this place while waiting for your food. You can conceivably get your own water, napkins and cutlery if you walk far enough along the counter towards the back of the restaurant. Back there, you may also notice a single-occupancy restroom and bins for bussing your own dishes. The Sun Juice arrived first, freshly blended, and was delicious. If that's what their juice is like, I look forward to exploring their smoothie offerings. My pasta arrived looking BEAUTIFUL on a bed of spinach, and smelled just as good. It tasted a teensy bit more of salt than I would've liked, but then I speared a sun dried tomato with my next bite and remembered that I'm not a food critic, just a happy customer. Although I'm not generally a fan of zoodles, they seemed to have the art of cooking them down pat: they didn't distract from the pesto at all. The bisque had an artful design of (coconut? cashew?) cream on top. My friend was delighted to note that it was a bit of spice to it: nothing challenging, but just enough for her to find comforting. Given the light and airy look of the inside and the rather rustic / flower-child look of the outside, she was not expecting that surprise. She was so impressed with the grilled cheese sandwich that she offered me a bite: we were both quite impressed with the "cheese" they used, as the item was listed as vegan on the menu. My friend kept whining that she's doomed, as they're close to where she lives *and* they deliver. Oh, yeah - poor her, indeed. Alas, alack, and so on.

Tried the Bukan Bowl--delicious! Soup and cappuccino were solid too. Indoor vibe could use a lift…read more Cappuccino: 8/10.
