A 3.5% service charge is applied to credit card transactions. Zoey's does not offer alcoholic beverages. Indoors is sparse and could use an uplift. Orders are placed and paid for at the counter. Do not mistake Zoey's for fast food. Food is not prepared beforehand so allow yourself at least 20-30 minutes before receiving your order, depending on how busy it is. My wife ordered the small (qty 10) spicy dry-rub Chicken Wings w/ crinkle fries for $15. The wings came out piping hot and nicely crisped. The wings were pleasantly large compared to some other wings that she has ordered. I ordered the Spicy Habanero Chicken Sandwich w/ crinkle fries for $13.95: grilled onions, lettuce, Swiss cheese and Habanero spread. The sandwich was blazing in temperature, crisp on the outside, moist and tender on the inside and substantial in size. Napkins were needed while eating this messy, yet tasty sandwich. I went to Zoey's yesterday because I saw a banner saying they now had smash burgers on the menu. While I loved their fried chicken, I appreciate their transparency about prices and supply and the rationale behind this business pivot. And what a delicious pivot it was!! It must not be the same. No chicken sandwiches. Graffiti covered shopping strip. Old run down awful place. We were rushing for the airport so we ate here anyway. Burgers are a D+. This place came highly recommended by several friends. Located in a small strip mall on Casino Road, this place exceeded my expectations. All chicken sandwiches come with a side of fries. So for about $12, I was content with the price and value. But when I got my sandwich, I was more than impressed. It was almost like Zoey placed two giant chunks of fried chicken in between a beautifully soft and buttery brioche bun. I appreciate mayo on my bun and this did not disappoint. The bottom bun had mayo and some light lettuce. The oversized portions of fried chicken were topped with a very light flavor of chopped jalapenos which didn't overpower the deliciously seasoned chicken breading. It had a very delicious and unique flavor that rivaled other famous chicken sandwiches, but set it apart on its own level. I appreciated that you got to enjoy every bite of sandwich with large hunks of breaded and fried chicken. Other places have very little chicken and lots of bun. But that's not the case here. Oh, and the side of crinkle cut fries were deliciously crisp and perfectly salted. Dare I say that it reminded me of Shake Shack's crinkle fries? That is very high praise for crinkle fries as I normally don't like that syle, but this was delicious and I polished off every bite. I love it when I find a gem. Unassuming little place next to a gas station. If you blink, you'll miss it. Nothing phony or fancy inside. Just the basic counter, tools of the trade, and a lovely woman making your order behind the counter, whilst making conversation to pass the time. I could tell as soon as I walked in that this place was a local place, local artist works on the wall, for sale if you saw something that caught your eye (I bought 2 pieces to support local artists) and it was a good burger. I wish I could have experienced the chicken because I have a feeling that was something beyond incredible, but I know the costs keep climbing, and the profit margins keep shrinking, or you have to adjust the prices, which turns your customers off. I would still be willing to pay good money for a stellar chicken sandwich, but I understand. The burger was good, the dressing was very good, I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger which came wrapped in checkered wax paper, and the cheese was gooey goodness. I could tell that this is one of those places where flavor matters, value matters, and quality matters. Definitely not the cookie-cutter burger chains that have become too popular in society. So many people talked about it and a few ordered one while I was waiting too so it seems to be their most popular item. First, the chicken was much bigger than I anticipated. It was tender and juicy while the outside was crispy. I do like the bacon crispier. I had trouble not pulling out the entire slice when biting into it. Between the avocado, mayo and lettuce on the bottom the sandwich was a bit messy and hard to keep the chicken in the bun. Maybe it was a "me" thing but I used a lot of napkins to wipe my hands. I didn't expect any real heat from it, because normally restaurants only put a hint of the pepper. We got the Buffalo sandwich (with blue cheese instead of ranch), the spicy habanero, and a chicken tender order. The Buffalo was the best, I think I spicy habanero was overhyped in my mind due to the bountiful positive reviews, and the "chicken tenders" were effectively a piece of chicken breast sliced into strips, without batter all around the chicken. Really odd and for us, was a big disappointment given all the hype. The chicken in the spicy habanero didn't seem that great of quality either. I hate giving two stars to a small restaurant. Even more so when it appears to be a black-owned business. But the food is what it is. The chicken was dry breast meat. You can make a chicken sandwich from breast meat and have it be moist and succulent--but not without brining it. That's not happening here. The fries were good. They are obviously simple frozen french fries, but Zoey's adds spices to them and fries them up in a way that makes them excellent. The sauce was good. The chicken piece was large. Finding a really good chicken wing location has been challenging in Mill Creek, but thanks to Yelp we found Zoey's Fried Chicken that's about 20 minutes away from us. The previous reviewers were correct this location does not answer the phone at all, your best bet is to go to the location to place your order. Every order is made fresh per order, and there is usually only 2 people working; be prepared to wait. Zoey's skills at making chicken sandwiches have transferred well to burgers. These wide smash-burgers hit the nostalgia note of old-school Fatburger while being bigger and better in every way. The primary combination of patty, bun, and cheese work stupendously. The topping combinations are inspired. I have had curry on a burger, and pineapple on a burger, but never curry and pineapple chunks on a burger!
