After standing there for a couple of minutes I saw people grabbing menus and congregating to the register. I was waiting for someone so it worked out well. You order and then take your number or in this case a magic 8 ball to the table(so they know which order goes where). This location is much larger than I remember. It had a very eclectic ambiance. More or less different types of tables and chairs everywhere, but gave off a homey vibe. The people that were working were very pleasant. We both opted for water, in which they had a water station for you to fill a cup and sit down. After sipping my water I noticed the glass I had was chipped and cracked, a chard actually chipped off in my hand. I took it back up to the front and exchanged it. Probably not the best idea to have all of the glasses stacked on top of on another. I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich, in which upon ordering they had to check if they were ready to serve that. I was lucky enough that they were, although I did have a back up plan. The turkey sandwich came out with a mixed green salad with a dressing I was not sure of, but was very refreshing. The turkey sandwich on sourdough was very flavorful and I was very happy with my pick. I would definitely come back here and try more things, although the Cajun sandwich remains on my mind. The waitress had no one else in the restaurant. There were 5 or 6 people at the bar, but she wasn't serving them. She didn't write down anyone's orders, and that was where all the mistakes started. We didn't want her to write a big check and then sort it at the counter at the end, and she admonished one of our party for saying they didn't want one big check. She told them "I do it all the time" in such a snappy and disrespectful tone that the kindest and most forgiving person in our party got offended, which is almost impossible to do to her. I don't want to go into each individual, so I will just list the issues: Multiple drinks never made it to the table. She argued with so many of us that tabs were closed after appetizers and multiple people simply left. Menus were misread and nothing was done to fix any of the issues with peoples meals. The kitchen was its own mess. The cheese sticks were cold, the marinara was a chutney and couldn't be picked up with the cheese sticks due to there being no liquid in it. It was just chunks of tomato and they brought out a half filled 2 oz cup of it. no even enough for half the sticks. A patty melt was brought out with no cheese on it. None. A Patty MELT. A sandwich that came with barbecue sauce and mayo was asked for no barbecue sauce, and came out completely dry. She never asked if peoples meals were okay. Then when those that didn't leave were cashing out she let a new party of people stand in the doorway for 20 minutes until she was done splitting the check that we asked her not to combine in the first place, only for her to tell that party "Oh, the dining room is closed. You can sit at the bar" She made them wait in the doorway for 20 minutes only to shunt them to the bar. Absolutely unacceptable. THERE ARE ALSO LIVE WIRES IN THE SMOKING AREA OUTSIDE ARCHING! Was there an ownership change? It is all of the sudden a death trap as well as the menu had nothing but bar food and pizza. Last time we were there it had a family atmosphere while also being a bar, and it had steak and chicken parmesan, and actual dinners. I tried calling today before making this post, but the phone went to a voicemail that announced it was for a different number than the one I called. This is just terrible on all fronts, and with food prices and health care the way they are, we wont gamble on this again.
