I've had Big Chicken a couple times before and each time I was surprised by how good it was- especially for a fast food spot! I also think this location recently got a drive thru with one small window which was nice. We got the dunks meal and subbed the fries for onion rings plus an additional side of mac and cheese. It was all literally so good and I have no notes! Although I'm not the biggest fan of mac and cheese in general, their's was one of the better ones I've had and they even used cavatappi instead of the usual elbow shape. read more

I think Big Chicken is a solid chicken spot for sandwiches and tenders. Their chicken is juicy, perfectly fried and seasoned. Their original chicken sandwich is very good, their bun is so soft, and pickle compliments the chicken well. The tender was very juicy, I added Nashville hot rub which had a nice kick. Their crinkle cut fries are not too salty, and it comes with different BBQ sauces that you can choose from. In short Food's above average for fast food. Everything else could use attention, especially the prices. In long This one opened here a year or two ago and a buddy of mine flipped for it. Worked his way through the whole menu over the course of a couple months and couldn't pick a favorite. He literally loved everything he tried. I got a bite here and there when I'd bump into him and it was obviously good fast food. After driving past it dozens of times, today I finally stopped for lunch. The drive-through lane is evidently new, and it definitely feels like an afterthought. It doesn't go past the building to create space, it's just a little turnaround in the parking lot that leads to the window. Not a great sign, but okay. I didn't want to linger too long over picking what to have, so I just went with the #1 meal. Menu board says it's $12.49. The cashier on the intercom replies that it's almost $17.00. What did I do to modify it? That's way more than the sales tax, even around here. Get up to the window and you don't hand them your card. They hold out a reader. Okay, fine. Then they hand you the reader...so you can tip. For drive-through fast food. That already cost 30+% more than the menu board said it would. It's my own guilt that makes me tip, not their insistence, but, still, I tip, so now this little sandwich is $20. I pull out and am ready to eat already. Reach in and pull out...just the chicken. They don't wrap the sandwich. They put in a little cardboard tray and kinda line that. But it barely fits, so you can't get it out while you're driving, so you pull the sandwich apart without even realizing it. Okay, I'll eat when I get where I'm going, 'cause there I can park for a while. Try to pop the straw with no success...wrapper is stronger than the straw, which bends. Finally unwrap it at the next red light. Try to put the straw in the drink, and, like the wrapper, the lid is also stronger than the straw. But they overfull the drink, so now I have iced tea in my cupholder, and the straw's still not even partway in. I'm now 3 red lights into my next leg of errands, and all I've done is clean up little messes. Finally get where I'm going, and the tea is tiny, and the fries are definitely not overly large. No idea where the upcharge came from. Sandwich is solid, though. Super heavy breading on the chicken, but tastes good, and the bun is strong enough to hold it. Crinkle-cut fries also hold their own. For $20 I'd expect either more food or no niggling little inconveniences every step of the way, and they didn't deliver on either one. I'm really surprised that it turned out to be such a drag trying to eat here, but, thinking back, I do believe my buddy ordered delivery every time and never tried to eat while driving. I am disappointment in the decreasing quality of Big Chicken. Today I went to order and had noticed sauces are no .50c per sauce. When they opened it was unlimited sauces via self service and more recently it was 2 free sauces per order. When I received my to go order today my fries were already stale, chicken was dry, AND they had one of my sandwhiches incorrect. Bummer mistakes happen but this added to an overall not great experience. This made me think of my last few visits. Last time I noticed they changed the chicken used for the popcorn chicken as it's not the same. It got worse. This made me also remember that they changed fries to crinkle cut fries from waffle fries before. Sharing this for the owner or GM that these alterations to the menu the customer can taste the decreased quality. read more

I was here earlier this week and they took super long to give me my food. As I was looking into the restaurant, the girl was texting on her phone and all I ordered was mac & cheese and one of those snack chicken sandwiches so it was just a piece of bread with chicken, nothing that should take too long to make the restaurant did not look busy at all either. My food was cold when it was given to me and the person who took my order was rushing me which I absolutely hate. The food itself was good and it would be so much better if I could've had it fresh. I'm disappointed and don't think I want to go back if they're gonna be serving lukewarm food. I went there about a month ago and my chicken sandwich was amazing this time I was really let down. We've been here 4 times in a month and the food is pretty solid! The chicken tastes great. Every time we've gotten food to go, it has been fresh and ready right on time. Uncle Jerome's Nashville Hot is delicious in both sandwich form and popcorn chicken - it's our go to. The fries are just ok, nothing special. We've been obsessed with their seasonal sweet tea which has been peach flavored lately. We go just for that sometimes! Decent chicken sandwiches. Friendly staff. Skip the "old-tech" Ordering Kiosks and speak to a human. The kiosk system does not describe any of the items -- just names and photos. (Best of luck figuring out if that dark sauce is ketchup, chipotle, or cranberry!) The "old-tech" kiosk will also get your order wrong, and/or throw an annoying "Ooops" error. (The staff member who cleared the error told me that the system crashes like that about half of the time.) While the menu selection is average, the food is not. I ordered a Shaq attack and Dirty Fries. The chicken sandwich is not greasy nor oily but crisp and with great flavor and just a hint of spice. Shaq's new one stop chicken shop in Mulkiteo, WA. I ordered the big popcorn chicken combo. The flavor of the chicken is nice. They use chicken thigh meat so you're guaranteed to have juicy pieces. My only con is that I prefer for my chicken to be fried extra crispy. The French fries are top tier though - perfect size and texture. There is also a sauce bar for you to mix and match with whatever you order, which is cool. Overall not a bad place to eat at or order from. only here in town for a couple of days and I was really craving some chicken. So I stopped by this place the atmosphere is definitely welcoming. I was a little skeptical about going to this place. I was really mainly wanted to find like KFC just because I'd like to keep it original lol but I definitely wanted to try something different. The food here was definitely outstanding. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their product that they are selling, and everything that they cooked was to order very fresh very delicious and definitely no disappointment here if I can give more than a five star review, I definitely would outstanding services here. My first visit to any Big Chickens and it was expensive for what we received. Spent $40 for 10 piece wings & a 3 piece tenders combo. The tenders were small but the most offensive thing was the wings. The wing flats that we got looked to be only half of a flat with the bone exposed. Charging $18 for drumettes (that were whole) & flats (that are only half) is just wrong. This cannot be commonplace for Big Chicken, I saw some pictures online and those flats were not like the ones we got. It's been weeks since we ate there and it still bothers me. read more

This place is packed! But considering they just opened a few weeks ago, this may not be a surprise. I will make a bold statement. While it may be a touch more pricey than its competition, they have the best chicken sandwich out of a fast food that I have tasted so far. I got the big & sloppy and it did not disappoint. Chicken was done right, juicy and tasted great with the Mac and cheese, fried onions and aioli. I suggest adding the chicken sauce for that extra flavor (it's basically the lighter version of the competitor's sauce). The chicken can maybe be just a bit more crispier. The sundae was basic. The Big Chicken Sauce is a very tasty mayo / mustard based sauce with a 1.375 level of spice. My only gripes are the overall price - $20 with tip for my spread and they don't have a meal combo. $3.49 for fries is steep when you're already paying $9 for the base sandwich. I prefer the Shaq attack with the spicy chipotle bbq sauce and the jalapeno slaw. I've had both grilled and fried chicken versions which are great! They also offer protein style (no brioche bun) for those interested. If you order online you can of course come in for pick up, but you also have the drive-through option. Drive-through is only for pick up orders. I tend to order while the cars warming up, about a 10 min drive and chances are, it will be ready by the time I get there if not a little sooner. They're always pleasant to work with and willing to help with anything especially extra sauces! Inside you'll find plenty of tables and seating. I haven't dined in yet. First and foremost, the service here is great and surprisingly well-staffed despite how busy it was! We were welcomed right away and were provided a menu as we stood in line to order. The staff was also very informative of all the items on the menu, and showed us which items were spicier than others. My favorite aspect of the place was the self-serve sauce bar! One of the employees, Michael, was also so kind and brought over a variety of sauces for us to try at our table. Thank you, Michael! I tried the Carolina Honey Mustard BBQ, which was sweet and had a nice kick to it. The Big Chicken Sauce also reminded me of the Chick-Fil-A sauce, so it didn't seem very special to me. I would definitely recommend trying their other BBQ sauces! I ordered the Sweet Potato Waffle Fries, and I loved how thinly cut they were. They weren't too crispy, but it's how I like my sweet potato fries anyways. I also ordered the Shaq Attack, and when I took my first bite, I was instantly hit with a mouthful of flavors! There's definitely a bit of spice in this sandwich, but the jalapeño slaw added a sweet crunch to it. I had a bite of the Original Big Chicken as well, and it was good, but I definitely prefer the Shaq Attack since I like my food to be a bit spicier. For my drink/dessert, I ordered the Salted Caramel Shake. I'm usually not a fan of shakes, but I had to give it a try since I love salted caramel. The Shake did not disappoint, it's super creamy and not too thick. I love the added crunch from the salted caramel cookies. Maria, who was also on front counter, helped me when I returned with another question. I was met with a smile and instant attention. They kind of soak up some of the cheesiness and end up a bit tacky. Fries were seasoned well and I got them extra crispy which was an awesome option. The sandwich, however wasn't great. The chicken itself was so thin, it's like it had been pounded out before cooking. Nothing like the photos, and pretty lackluster. The bun itself was dry also. Thank you Shaq for making fast food chicken that my son who has allergies can eat. My 4 year old son is allergic to milk, egg, peanut, hazelnut, fish, and kiwi. We carry an epipen with us all the time. Here my son is able to eat the popcorn chicken, BC fries, sweet potato fries, sweet and smoky Memphis barbecue sauce, and ketchup with no problem. Not a single itch. I greatly appreciate these type of restaurant. The shaq sauce in the picture is for me (I have no allergies).
