My wife and I were finally able to stop into Katsu Burger for lunch while in the area. Free parking can be found in the lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Indoors is small and similar to a teriyaki joint. Basically, a brick-and-mortar fast-food type of establishment. There is a bit of outdoor seating as well. All transactions are done at the counter. Katsu Burger does not offer any alcohol. During our visit we ordered the Pork Banzai Bites for $6.95. We actually wasted/tossed this item due to the flavorless and toughness of the pork. My wife ordered the Ohayou Gozaimasu for $13.95: Beef Katsu, Fried Egg, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Tonkatsu Sauce and Japanese Mayo. I ordered the Godzilla Attack Spicy with Chicken for $12.50: 12 Spice Sprinkled on Chicken Katsu, Jalapenos (pickled), Pepper Jack Cheese, Tonakatsu Sauce and Spicy Mayo. I ordered my burger without a bun and all the burger toppings. I was disappointed that the jalapenos were pickled rather than freshly sliced. After trying the pork, beef and chicken, we both decided that the chicken was the better tasting of them all. Overall, Katsu Burger did not impress either one of us. Staff wasn't friendly. Establishment is a bit run-down. Food was mediocre. Prices are fair. If we ever stop here again, I will be sure to take my order home to enjoy. read more

We tried this place for the first time and will definitely be back. I had a take-out order and everyone loved their food. The burgers and fries tasted good, had an impressive presentation, and the milkshakes were a hit! Considering how great the experience was, the standout was the service. I can only assume based on the receipt that the person I worked with was YUKYUNG JUNG. Huge shout out to her for being personable and professional. They have a kiosk for taking the orders and it would have been easy for her to rely on the electronics to complete the task...that didn't happen. We really enjoy Katsu burger LS. The burgers are always crispy and fresh. I visited the Lynnwood location years ago and it was fabulous. First time at this location and the food was great. Small venue and limited seating inside, however I did notice picnic tables outside. Lots of door dash orders and take out. The cashier was multi-tasking and wasn't able to take our order right away. We ordered a Tokyo classic, ninja deluxe, nori fries, and two beers. Once we paid we went to a pretty empty beverage cooler. We paid for beer but there was no cold beer. I opted to pay for a soda and get a refund for beer and the cashier wanted to swap the soda for beer! That was a $4 price difference, so no thank you! Took her a while to refund it but it all worked out. Anyway, our burgers were crispy and yummy, food was good. Overall 5 star for food, 3 star for drinks, and 3 star for customer service. read more

Was excited to try the burgers here and they did not disappoint! Definitely loaded with toppings and even the side of fries had enough flavor I didn't even need the sauce for dipping. We also got the banzai bites (chicken and pork) and they were good with the tonkatsu, nori ranch and spicy mayo sauce. Overall we really like Katsu Burger. The problem we have encountered is inconsistency sometimes the bun is toasted and sometimes it is not, which makes a big difference to my family! I do not like an untoasted burger bun at all especially when you are adding raw shredded cabbage, red onions, tomatoes, and pickles to the bun. Anyhow, our BIGGEST problem is with the fries! We LOVE the 12 spice fries and the first time we had them they were great. They were perfectly cooked. They stayed warm until we reached home. There were no burnt fries in the entire batch. My kid would eat fries daily if we would let him. These fries made me want to have fries daily too. HOWEVER, the next THREE times we ordered was a complete let down. We ordered 2 orders of fries each time and waited for our ordered. The fries were lukewarm to cold and overcooked. Some of the fries were burnt as well. One time is a fluke but THREE times is on purpose and leads me to believe the first time that we received the fries were a fluke. The fries are $5 a piece which is pricey so I expect them to be worth the money. There is no reason for lukewarm, cold, overcooked and burnt fries when a person is waiting right there in your establishment. Consistency is key. The food is not cheap. The burger itself when made right is good but it is not a big piece of meat. It is a lot of toppings and bread that fill you up more so than actual meat. The price for the basic burger is about the same as a sit down restaurant these days though. This is not a sit down place. It is very small inside. My kid got a milkshake there once and it was ok but found some other place around town they like better for the same price. Not sure we will be back but if we do eat there again it won't be for fries and we will ask for the buns to be toasted to make sure it happens. read more

We originally got our food to go but ended up staying because their patio looked so inviting, with pretty lights and beautiful flowers. This place is excellent! I've been to Katsu Burger a few times at other locations, and it's always been solid. This is a new-ish location, nearby where I happened to be one day, so I figured I'd give it a shot! I ordered online and got there just a little after when it said it'd be done. Turns out, my ticket got lost (maybe stuck to someone else's), so my stuff wasn't done (no sweat). They seemed to put my order in the first priority and maybe 5-10 mins later, everything was done, fresh, and piping hot. I got it for take-out, so left. Parking was super easy -- off-street, plenty of it, etc... It's in a little strip mall/office park thing with an insurance agency and random stuff like that. Funny enough, it's still decorated all cool inside, like with Godzilla stuff and the Japanese decor. It was pretty cute. I got the Godzilla burger and Nori fries. This burger has a beef patty that is breaded and fried - like.... Katsu (hence the name of the business). I felt like the Godzilla burger was smaller than I remember - they used to be like... ABSURDLY BIG. They might have scaled it down to be less outrageous or maybe it was shrinkflation... who knows? It was a good amount of food, though, so I wasn't mad. The Godzilla is a spicy one - jalapenos, pepperjack cheese, spicy mayo, and then piled high with slaw. It was good - the crispy, hot burger next to the cool vegetables made a good temperature gradient - kind-of like you'd get from In N Out (with their cool lettuce, etc). It was tasty, but it probably could have used a little salt. The nori fries didn't taste sea-weed-y or anything, it was just like... a little less-than-usual salt-level fries with little specks of seaweed all over. I don't think I would have noticed blindfolded. I might have also just inhaled everything without thinking, too - so, take that with a grain of salt. ;) I'll say - my wife does not like this place (she doesn't really love the patties), so I only come here with other friends or by myself. This is not the ordinary burger place. The burgers here are not made of standard patty but they are deep fried panko breaded beef patty. It's a very nice addition to the local restaurants. We need something unique around this area including Marysville and Arlington. It was smelling really good when I arrived this store. It's a small store you could miss. Just look for the sign on the street. Located across from Jack in the box. I had a classic burger that was huge, I couldn't eat all at once. I just love this deep fried patty that I could eat just that with rice : ) There's a dish called "menchikatau" in Japan that is deep fried ground beef or pork. They are as popular as potato croquettes. Anyways, the patty was fresh and moist, all the veggies like cole slaw, tomato slices, pickles accompanied well. The fries reminded me of fries in Japan. Finally got a chance to try this out. I like that it's not your typical burger place and everything has its own twist. We shared the spicy fries and they were delicious and enough for two. My husband got the ninja deluxe and I got the wasabi, both with beef. They were huge and everything was super fresh. So good! We've been to the Lynnwood location in the past and it was great. Unfortunately, it's a pain to get there because of how the traffic can be. I was so excited when I heard there would be a new location in Lake Stevens! There was previously a delicious German restaurant here and it was a real bummer hearing they closed. Katsu Burger has incorporated some katsu brats into their menu which is great! We've yet to try them but are planning to ASAP. During our most recent visit, we got a Kyoto Mushroom Melt, a Godzilla Attack, and Curry Fries with a side of Honey Miso Mustard. Everything was amazing. The burgers were big and juicy. Food is good, customer service is lacking. We ordered online with an Eta of 5:43, arrived to pickup at 5:55pm. Food wasnt even made and the woman at the register had no idea of my order, after showing her my phone receipt and 10 minutes of scrolling her computer she found the order. She apologized it slipped though the cracks (not a huge deal) and said she would bring it out to my car when it was ready since my kids were in the car waiting. 25 minutes go by and multiple people in the restaurant got their food. I finally went in and she looked surprised it took me so long to get my food... clearly she forgot she was going to bring it to me?
