Horrible, horrible service. The young girl working there cut me off in the parking lot and almost hit me. I honked and she was screaming at me and throwing her hands up. I walked in to pick up my food and she was the cashier and completely ignored me for my pickup order. When she finally acknowledged me, she was extremely rude, demeaning, and dismissive, and acted like I didn't exist. As I'm paying, she refuses to acknowledge me and looks past me to start asking what the person behind me wants to order before I even get my food or my receipt. I would never treat a stranger like this let alone a customer. I will never go back again and strongly advise people to not go here for how they treat people. Walked in at 8:46pm, it's 9:32 and still don't have the take-out food ordered over 45 minutes ago. I counted no more than 4 to 5 customers before me waiting for their orders, with 2-3 tables in the process of dining in. The absolute slowest and most inefficient teriyaki restaurant I've ever been to... would never recommend. Food received at 9:35pm. I don't think you can really screw up chicken teriyaki, but the food was mediocre at best with overcooked chicken chewing like cardboard box. Trash cans full, fountain drink machine out of order. I know a lot of restaurants struggled during COVID and I absolutely try to understand, but today at this location was not the case. I think the restaurant owes it to customers to inform accordingly if they have some major malfunction that causes their food making capacity to decrease beyond an acceptable margin. I would have walked away had I known it was going to be this bad. No apology, no comment, simply "your order is ready". Reading another recent comment from a few months ago, seems like this is not an isolated occurrence. read more

We always have lunch here when we at the nearby Premuim Outlet, Walmart, Home Depot, etc. Portions are big, and the chicken teriyaki is delicious. We have tried most of the entrees there and can't say there is anything bad. Condiments at the table include a bottle of teriyaki sauce, salad dressing, soya sauce, and siracha chilli sauce. I like that they are right there, and you don't have to ask for it. The salad dressing is amazing. My husband does not usually eat salad except that this place. Service is quick and efficient. Nice hidden teriyaki place across from Walmart and next to the ups store. My daughter enjoys eating here and asked me to meet her. The regulars really like this place and it doesn't disappoint. My husband loves teriyaki. Me... meh. But he called me last night and said he was outside a teriyaki joint that had a sign advertising the best Teriyaki in Marysville! So fine, we had teriyaki. He brought home whatever he ate (who cares what he eats, eh?) and my pork/chicken teriyaki combo, as well as veggie tempura and gyoza. We like to try a little of everything when we find a new place. So, here is my assessment. Keep in mind, teriyaki is not my bag. The meat was very cooked. As in black in places. And very little sauce on it. That's usually okay because they give you extra sauce for the meat and rice, but this place only gave half of a very tiny cup of sauce. Enough for about half of my meat. That means I can't review the rice because I only like the rice when it has teriyaki sauce on it. No rice for me. I only ate some of the pork and a few bites of the chicken. It was just too dry without enough sauce. From what I tasted though, it seems like the sauce had good flavor. The gyoza was just fried gyoza. Not properly steamed then pan fried, so another "meh" from me. Enough dipping sauce for about half of the order. Where this place shines though, and what will save my husband from living in a teriyaki desert, is I was quite fond of the tempura and salad. The tempura was very light, a nice selection of veggies (though no mushrooms *sad face*), but again, not enough sauce/dip with it. I took less than half of the tempura and ran out of sauce. The salad is basic. Iceberg lettuce (yay!) and the dressing is a sweet, slightly creamy dressing. I liked it. I'll concede to going there again. Not sure exactly what I'll order because he didn't bring me home a menu! read more

My salmon was smaller than the size of a business card and just as thin....nothing like what was shown on the picture menu. Mmm, mmm good! My absolute favorite teriyaki place of all time, and I have tried dozens around the U.S. The food is definitely the best ever, and the ambience used to be excellent as well. I think this place could use a remodel as it's been the same since at least 2008. Some of the magazines on the bookshelf date back that far, at this point. Sadly, some creepster old dudes seem to have made this their hangout spot of late and I saw the same group of 5 or 6 men the past few times I visited this year. As far as this type of place goes it is far above average. They offer big portions but don't skip on the quality. There are what seems like a million of these type of joints in Western Washington and this is for sure above average but still not the best of the best.
