Lived in Japan for 6 years and this (in my opinion) is the best Teriyaki in the area.... Hands Down!!

Phone orders are accurate and the food is delicious. It's really too small to have a good atmosphere, but great to take on a picnic or home if you are willing to pick up. The salads are always very white... but the proteins and sauces and rice are excellent. read more

Stopped through on a Friday afternoon and got the Chicken/Beef combo and a Mongolian Beef. My girlfriend wouldn't even finish her Mongolian and I was left unimpressed with the chk/beef dish. The flavor was typical of many other options in the area. The interior of the restaurant was quite dirty. I'm not incredibly picky personally but I could notice the dirt buildup on the floors and just the general "cheap maintenance" atmosphere. Thank god we ordered to go. I am by no means a harsh critic, I enjoy many types of food and I am very open minded when it comes to trying new restaurants. However, this experience has really made it difficult for us to decide that we should return to K's. There are much better options around town. read more

Good teriyaki and decent service. Small inside and limited seating but worth a try. My only problem was I didn't care for the fried rice. It wasn't bad, just not my style. Portions are fairly large, sauces are good and appetizers are good too. Good salad dressing, creamy and sweet (salad and dressing comes with most meals, I believe). First time dropping by here to try the teriyaki. Still take out only but ordering to getting food was 10 min. They ask you to wait in the car while it cooks. Menu is simple/smaller than a lot of other places but it had what we were looking for. Husband got a spicy chicken/beef teriyaki combo with all rice and I got the Mongolian Beef with all rice plus we enjoyed a side of goyza. gozya is offered in 6 or 12 pieces. It was good, sauce wasn't super strong flavor though My husband liked the teriyaki and would come back for more. He's picky about this stuff, so this is a win. Serving was plenty large enough and he enjoyed leftovers for lunch a day later. The Mongolian Beef was good. Meat was chunkier small bites instead of shaved thin like the teriyaki meat. Lots of onions, but not overwhelming the flavor. Again, not a strong sauce flavor but still tasty. I really enjoyed this and would get it again. They have bottled drinks to go as well. Gal up front was nice, answered questions, and even waved to us in the car when the food was ready. It was quick. I think our 2 meals and appetizer with 1 drink was $36. Overall we enjoyed this meal more than some other teriyaki places we have tried in this area and will be back. read more

Gave me the wrong food at closing time. I called but they were all gone and didn't answer, so called again the next day and was told I had 2 weeks to come in to redeem my order for the correct one and took my name and #. I ordered, girl on the phone said yes I see your name here to make it right and when I picked up, the Asian lady said "oh no, we need to see the food to replace it". I asked so you want me to keep it overnight and bring it back? YES!!!! The girl when you called and said we'd replace your food was misinformed. We can't give you a replacement. Ok so because your staff made the us the wrong chicken for the THIRD time, you're already closed when I called that it was wrong, now you want me to pay for your mistake? YES!!! I showed my phone records that I've called. Still nothing. Save yourself from this small dirty place and overpriced food and go to Teriyaki Point! I love this little place! They're quick, friendly, and really inexpensive. Plus, they have great gyoza. Although their teriyaki chicken is tasty, I thought the sauce for the sweet and sour chicken meal was a little too sweet. I didn't catch her name, but the cashier with pink hair is incredibly sweet. Quick and efficient pick up service. Don't try to call your order in though, you just a busy signal. Nice soft chicken and fresh tasting!

This place has bomb teriyaki with huge portions. Minus one star because their salad is usually really limp and brown so I usually don't eat it. But the chicken and rice itself is amazing and not overly sweet. Great quick place to drop by for a good filling meal. read more

This is very disappointing to have to leave this review. I've gone here as a regular for years and love their food, but the other night we ordered food to go and when we got home, the order was wrong which has happened before..being in this industry of food service, if this has happened more than one time especially, we most definitely fix the situation by offering a credit, free meal, refund, etc...it's the point of not fixing it and caring. So we will not be returning here, unfortunately.. After leaving the previous review, I did call again to see if the situation would/could be fixed..they offered two complementary meals without hesitation and very friendly. I will be returning again as I really do love their food and have been a long time customer. I'm happy that the situation was fixed and feel good with how it was all handled now. I ordered the chicken katsu. It wasn't terrible, but I've definitely had better. What I really didn't enjoy was that the salad was placed in the same container as the hot food, so I got a pile of hot, soggy, iceberg lettuce. read more

We started frequenting this teriyaki place when the pandemic hit 12 months ago. We wanted to support our local restaurants, and this was one we chose to help keep afloat. On our first visit last April, we found that the quality of the food was above average and the portions were generous. The store was convenient for us: they had take-out and it was less than 10 minutes from our house. We have been back to that store since, on average, once per week, to get lunch. About two months ago, we started to notice problems with the quality of the food. More and more we started to see chicken that was horribly burnt, blackened actually. The flavor was more charcoal than chicken. My partner, who normally orders the chicken breast teriyaki, found that the chicken was consistently rubbery. Last week, I decided to say something to the woman at the counter about it. Her response was cordial, but, in my opinion, didn't go far enough to qualify as good customer service. She asked me to bring the food back to the store to get another order if that happens. There were a couple of problems with that: (1) it's an enormous burden to place on the customer to drive home, eat and then drive all the way back to replace bad food for food that will likely also be bad, considering she wasn't taking the complaint of the "quality" seriously; and (2) she could have demonstrated a true commitment to retaining a repeat customer by offering a free lunch or a refund on the last meal, as an apology for a series of bad meals. Incidentally, the chicken I picked up that day looked fine in the store, but when I got all the way home and started eating, it was severely dried out, like jerky. That was the last straw for me. I was going to leave "3" stars in this review, but after considering the lackluster response I got from K's Teriyaki after a good faith effort to bring this problem to their attention, I had to downgrade the rating to "2" stars -- customer service always factors into my experience of dining, even if it's take-out. Fortunately, there's lots of competition out there. If you make the drive into Marysville, check out Tokyo Stop -- they have, hands down, the best teriyaki around! read more

Since moving, we've tried a few other teriyaki joints but none of them have even come CLOSE to the quality of K's. As a Seattle native who transplanted to San Diego, CA over 7 years ago I quickly came to realize that good teriyaki, out side of trees and rivers, may be one of the things I miss the most. Don't get me wrong, the food down here is great but I can't find a decent teriyaki joint for the life of me! My parents live just up the hill from K's Teriyaki and I make a point of going there at least once, every time I come home. The menu is pretty standard as far as teriyaki places are concerned. All thee usual suspects make an appearance, Chicken, beef, mix and a few other favorites. However, the prices are good and the portions are great. Add that to the delicious flavor and you got a winner in my book. If your ever in Arlington and looking for a good place to fill up on some tasty food that isn't going to break the bank, definitely check out K's Teriyaki. If your ever in San Diego and get a craving for some Teriyaki, do yourself a favor and go for the sushi instead. read more
