We've been visiting Jade Fusion over the years and boy have they changed since the last year we came here. The restaurant is located inside the casino and I really like the ambience of the restaurant. They've changed the setup and lighting since the last time we went here. It took about 40 mins to get a table but the moment we got there, service was quick and she was really attentive to our table. The find however was a different story. We tried about 6 different items from the menu and both the chicken dishes were made the exact the same way with just a different sauce tossed with. The Crispy Korean chicken was tossed in sauce and soggy. The salt and pepper pork was good and the Mongolian beef was great. The crispy noodles with the sauce was excellent. We've been regulars here for some 20 years and time for an update. Ask Taylor (who is now the casino restaurant manager, congrats!), always awesome servers Wanna or Karin...they're the reason along with our favorite dishes we've been coming here for years. We do miss the sushi and authentic chow fun on the old menu, but our go-to crispy lumpia, Walnut Shrimp, house salad, salt and pepper pork chops are always served on point and served piping hot and tasty. We've tried several of the other items on the menu but our favorites never disappoint. Sure, it can be a wait when it's packed on holidays or weekends but service is always cheerful and welcoming even under pressure, the decor bright and cleanliness top notch spotless. read more

I really enjoyed the moody atmosphere they've created in this restaurant located near the front entrance of the Angel of the Winds. Lots of wood, dark accents and ambient lighting. We came in on a pretty dead Tuesday night for the casino and were promptly seated. Service was pleasant throughout. Our lychee martinis were quite good; I love a canned lychee garnish! As for the food, it was about what I expected going into it - watered down Asian food, probably to cater to the larger demographic that frequents the casino. The salt and pepper wings had a great crunch and seasoning but were served with a very liquidy fish sauce, which threw me off and did not stick to the wing. In contrast, the lettuce cups were served with a super thick chilli sauce that didn't seem to meet the flavour profile you'd expect from lettuce wraps. I actually switched the sauces for the two and enjoyed them more this way. We also ordered the firecracker shrimp which were ok, and the bimbimbap, which was massive and had way too much rice in it so the complementing ingredients and flavours were lost in the dish. The underlying theme with all the dishes we ordered was that they were oversalted but otherwise a little underseasoned and on the bland side. I would maybe consider coming back here if in a pinch or with a group who somehow landed on it but I'd otherwise save my $$$ for more authentic Asian food. read more

The ambiance and design of the space is calm and inviting - a contrast to the loud casino floor. Since I recently developed nut allergies, I made sure I let our server know and I also let her know not to add any sesame seeds in the dishes. Here are the dishes our party ordered: * Jade Salad with Crispy Fried Shrimp - Crispy with a kick from the chili. Very good. * Flank Steak over Kabocha Squash Purée - A heavier entree but savory and delicious! * Side Salad - this is what I ordered with the Teriyaki Chicken and I got an allergic reaction to their dressing. I found out later it was sesame dressing! However, despite the allergic reaction, the taste was delicious and something I would have ordered before I had my allergies. * Teriyaki Chicken - delicious grilled chicken thigh served with a light drizzle of teriyaki sauce. * Chow Fun - I didn't get to try this * Salt and Pepper Pork Chop - I didn't get to try this but my party did enjoy this pork chop. I really used to like Jade Fusion in Angels of the Winds Casino. The food was Japanese and had a good variety. Now the food and poor service make me not want to eat there, and Angels has limited restaurant options. The last time the temperature of the food was served so hot I could not eat it, and the light fry on the tempura vegetables was "burnt." This time I ordered the same and the Agedashi too--the veggies were cold and soggy and the tofu was cold cold and deep fried like chicken. What was worse, I asked the person who delivered my food for chopsticks and rice. I could not flag down the place setters, the other waitress was busy, and I literally had to get up and find my server 10 minutes later for chopsticks and rice. I know it's busy, but that's no excuse for not assuring that those who are seated have what they need to eat with. I told the server my concerns about the food and poor service, but there was no one to come over to mediate things or make it better for the next time. Im boycotting Jade Fusion! This is a lovely space inside the casino. It is open to the casino floor, so you do hear the casino noises but it's not too bad. Our server was super nice and attentive to checking in and refilling drinks. We liked that they had all the beers from the brewery next door. We went with my MIL. She ordered sweet and sour chicken, hubby ordered the shrimp fried rice, and I ordered the bibimbap. The portions are big, so next time we will order something to split! Hubs and MIL really liked their dishes! They both looked excellent. My bibimbap looked amazing. The egg was perfectly cooked, but it was super salty. I told the waitress and she brought me some extra steamed rice to "dilute" a bit. I was skeptical, but it actually helped. That said, I will order something else next time. Six of us enjoyed a delicious dinner at Jade Fusion last night. Yes, it's a casino but if you like Asian food that caters to all tastes, then this is a good place to go. The casino is smoke free and if you want to start with beers, the brew pub is right next door. Jade fusion has fabulous Asian fare north of Marysville. Many casinos around here have an Asian restaurant and I think this place has a great variety of dishes. Family style plates are a good way to share and try what is being offered. We got a large spread and tried all sorts of menu items. The fried rice seemed over cooked and over dressed with soy sauce on this particular day. It was still edible, just wished it looked like some of the other pics I've seen. Shrimp tempura was good, it's pretty hard to mess this up. The garlic green beans had way too many onions. The pad Thai was very tasty. The Peking duck is fantastic. It's nice and crispy on the outside, tender and delicious on the inside! The Bulgogi was yummy and tender, once again, lots of onions. Finally dessert...we got lava cakes. I didn't care too much for the lava cake because honestly I think it was undercooked. Usually, lava cakes consist of a cake with a warm ooey gooey center, but the cake was in a ramekin that was literally cooked on top and under that layer was batter. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp because that's what the waitress liked. It's alright; it's food. The shrimp are a decent size, and the breading could be worse. The sauce....contributes sweetness and enhances the flavor of the shrimp, but is light and meager enough to attempt to convince you that there's isn't too much sauce that might be unhealthy. The walnuts are dropped over the top like cherries because the dish wouldn't be honey walnut shrimp without the walnut. It would just be honey shrimp. Cucumbers are expertly lined up on the side of the plate so that they can frame the dish and add color. I ate most of them though since they also added a bit of texture and contrast, which I find more important than plating. I ordered a caterpillar roll, which was okay. The wasabi isn't very strong, which is to be expected. The mixed veggies are okay. Not too oily. They didn't seem frozen I guess. If there's any "fusion" here in the way I interpret the term, it's American-Asian fusion of the most generic/default variety. Service was good I guess. read more

This place caught me off guard. I was satisfied with everything thing we had. We started with pan fried potstickers and Walnut prawns and a cup of Hot and Sour soup. Then we had Beef chow mein, Firecracker Shrimp and Pork Belly Sisig. The only things of note that could be considered.... what?, a downside? I can't even say that, more like a preference I guess. The chow mein was just "alright" as well as the soup. The soup, to me, was lacking something that I just can't put my finger on, in turn it was slightly blander than what I desire. Please don't take that wrong I'd still rank those dishes maybe a 6.5 or a 7 out 10. Everything else, 10/10. They also serve Singha (If you know, you know) and my girlfriend and I were ecstatic. Now this we thought was going to be so tasty but it lacked flavor. Was a little disappointed with the overall taste of this. 5/10 Now the beef with broccoli, I thought it was okay but my husband thought it was a little too sweet for his taste. We gave that a 7/10. The hot & sour soup was not what I was expecting. It wasn't sour like how it's suppose to be. We returned to Jade Fusion just last Friday February 2nd after having lunch there shortly after the restaurant first opened. We had thoughts of our prior visit but sill wanted to give another try. Very pleasantly surprised with the excellent food, service and atmosphere. I had a special of poached halibut in shiitake mushroom broth and my wife had General Tao's chicken. I mean I would have liked it if they still had a sushi bar. The food seems too taste a little on the greasy side except for the soups. But let me tell you about the desserts here. OMG wow! I won't speak to the "sushi" as we didn't try any.... BUT... ask me about the Chinese food!!! Okay, so you asked, it was fabulous, first visit, was after they had been open about a week or so, staff were nice, quick to address any questions, and I liked the fact they had been given a "tasting" the week or so prior to the opening. We opted for Chinese, but there are several other "Asian" inspired menu items. But for us, the test is the "Chinese" food. During our two visits we opted for the House Chow-Fun, "dry" style, I was exited to see the noodles had plenty of "wok-char" to them, flavor was solid. Our standard is the Maui County fair, this place, a solid second...lol... I ordered the Salt and Pepper Pork chop, a nice cut, thin so the meat gets nice and crispy, a good amount of salt, just right actually, and plenty of fresh slightly stir-fried jalapenos, onion and chopped garlic, Vampires and Spice-whimps be warned. I have really enjoyed this dish the two times we have ordered it. Pops ordered General Tsao's chicken and this last visit the Kung Pao chicken, I'm not a huge fan but, in this case, I'm a convert. GT wasn't overly battered and not a orange sticky goo of a mess of sauce, in fact it was more savory than sweet, Grams and I really liked it. KP had those red-devil pods in there, just be careful, I ate a few, they were smokey and zippy, just right about of spice for me. Chicken was tender and the veggies were cooked just right. First visit we opted for the Black sesame ice cream and the chocolate cheesecake for dessert. I'm usually not a huge fan of cheesecake, but this stuff made me happy to have tried it, Pops and Grams kept elbowing each other for more. The sesame ice cream was really different, more savory than sweet, and darn near jet black in color, all the desserts are house-made. We spoke to the Chef, a Vietnamese gentleman who proudly told us EVERYTHING was house-made, even the Char-shu in the chow-fun, and you could tell. Oh, during our last visit, I saw/smelled some Pho being delivered, it looked legit. We opted for some Hot and Sour soup during our last visit, it was very good flavor-wise, we'd get it again. The restaurant is just off of the casino floor, yet I couldn't detect any "smoke" coming our way during both of our visits. We had dinner at Jade Fusion last night. This time Jade did it correct. This is what I ordered and we ate it all up. Really good service and again very tasty. Them sweet & sour chicken and general sao chicken are cooked to the point so good with less breading. Also the beef frank used on the chow mein was really tender. The recommendation for the mango cheesecake was really yummy !!! So Jade Fusion keep it up and try not to change anything. Be consistent and that is how I like it. We drove over an hour to try this restaurant. It was a huge disappointment. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, shrimp and broccoli, a tempura shrimp roll, spring rolls and hot and sour soup. The food was bland and tasteless. The hot and sour soup was nothing I've smelled or tasted before, could not eat any of it. The spring rolls were nothing I expected, not good either. The server was efficient and friendly. One weird thing, she brought the entree first then the soup and appetizers afterwards. It would be nice if they would focus on one type of food whether Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean not altogether. We'll continue on the search for a better Chinese Restaurant. read more
