Good little teriyaki place in Marysville off 3rd avenue. Took our food to go. We got the standard chicken teriyaki, chicken yakisoba, egg rolls, and side of chicken for our 2 year old twins. Chicken was good, came in a little foil house in the container. Sweet flavor. Chicken yakisoba was also really good. More on the salty flavor but I really liked it. Good veggies in it too. Broccoli and carrots cooked through well, zucchini added a little more to it too. Wish the side of chicken. Wouldve liked the side of chicken to come with some rice but wasn't a deal breaker. Ordered the teriyaki tofu and it was pretty good, nothing amazing bc it tasted like silky tofu which was an odd choice, also it was larger rectangles. Fried rice was pretty good. California roll was alright as well, chicken teriyaki was pretty basic but came with pasta salad which was odd. Over great for satisfying some hunger but nothing mind blowing. On the sign out front all I saw was, "Teriyaki Sushi". So it did take me a bit to figure out the name before I could review this restaurant. You'll find it right across the street to the south, from the old Dutch Bakery, it's a small store front that's worth searching for. Inside you'll find about a half dozen tables and a counter to sit at. The inside was very clean and the menu was of decent size. Typical "teriyaki" joint, run by a nice Korean family. The son and Mrs. ran the front counter and both spoke better than average "Engrish". Starch boy luvs his Tonkatsu: deep-fried breaded pork/chicken cutlet and here the plate was HUGE, I'm not kidding, for the price it was the size of a side of pork! The Tonkatsu was crisp and flavorful, breaded just right and served hot out of the fryer, the boy was in heaven. The plate came with a cabbage salad and rice, it was totally cheap for the size of portions and very fresh. In fact I'm eating the leftovers today for lunch there was that much left on his plate, yummy. Tempura was, to me, the only downer, too much breading and the kitchen had done my Bento box up early leaving my tempura to get luke-warm, if it was hot it might have been better. Sushi was a simple Cali-roll, I liked the fact that it was done up fresh and the Nori/Seaweed wasn't stale or tough to chew on. My box also came with some Teriyaki chicken, nice juicy meat, not dried out, select pieces and boneless. Teri-sauce wasn't too sweet or thick, very well done. Snake Girl had Chiken Yaki-soba. Again HUGE portions but done up very nicely, flavorful and not too salty. Grand-peeps both enjoyed their meals, the kitchen got a bit backed up by our order, there were 7 of us, but the owner came out from the back and kicked it up a notch and got the food out fast. They do a very brisk take-out business as well. Several phone orders came and went as we ate. I wish I had tried some of the Korean dishes, one of the members in our party, a regular, luvs the beef Bulgogi, it looked wonderful and again very sizable portions. He also ordered a side of kim-chi, which he shared with the rest of the table, to sour for my liking but nice and spicy. Another member of our party had the Spicy Teriyaki Chicken, it was far to hot for her, I enjoyed it, but she just couldn't handle the KA-POW, I'm not sure why she ordered it. It was flavorful to me and not too zippy. Suffice to say the meal was completely far better than I expected, portions large enough to fill a big eater, flavorful to satisfy, and cheap enough to help stretch your funds so that you can go play the slots at the casino on the other side of the freeway!! read more

Always good Teriyaki. We've gone here a few times for lunch and after Taekwondo for my 8 year old boy-next door. We love this small block of downtown Marysville. The Dutch Bakery, whistlestop candy shop, and Wander Coffee are all on this same block. read more

It had been a while since my last stop in so I decided to drop by on my lunch break. I ordered the chicken katsu bento box; chicken katsu, tempura, and California rolls. The breading on the tempura was soggy and stale. The chicken katsu was not fresh. It was clearly prepared at an earlier time and refried to order. I could tell because the exposed chicken was dark brown and the meat was very tough. I could not finish my meal. Disappointing way to spend $16. read more

Normally I'm pretty happy with this place. On my last visit I ordered Stir fry. When I got home I opened the container. To my disappointment most of my contents was rice with very little chicken. I know rice is a filler. My advise to owner. Don't chest the customer. Cabbage is just as cheap as rice. Give more cabbage and veggies then rice. In other words fill the small slots of container with the rice and the larger slots with main entry. read more

I ordered teh chicken breast teriyaki and it was pretty darn good. The meat was tender, not overcooked and had the perfect amount of sauce. Typically when I get the chicken breast a lot of places overcook it and it is super dry, but not here. I was also able to enjoy a free cup of soup while I waited for my food to cook. I was surprised and happy to see that once a month they offer a free lunch for the homeless people in town. Way to go! I used to go here. The food was okay, not stellar, but decent fare, and a lot of food for what I paid. Nice place to sit and watch 3rd Ave go by from the window counter. But sometime in summer 2012, I stopped by and the owners had become shove-it-down-your-throat, apparently born-again Christians, and the radio played the local Christian station at such a loud volume that I couldn't hear myself think, much less enjoy my meal. If that's changed since then, I don't feel like going back to Teriyaki Box to find out. There are better options in town, such as Teriyaki Bowl on 5th (and I couldn't be happier with them!). read more

Can't think of one thing wrong other then it's pretty expensive but it's really worth what you pay for depending on your taste.

The chicken teriyaki had nothing but thigh meat in it and the beef teriyaki had very thin slices of tough meat that wasn't very flavorful and both had way too much sauce . very disappointing . We used to go out of our way to come here because it was so good. they used do the punch card thing and you would get a free meal after so many purchases , they did away with that . we're done with this place! read more

Happy belly! Stopped at this little gem on the way to Canada at around 7 on a Monday evening. Great teriyaki chicken and beef. Nice dark color to the beef not that beigy looking chewy stuff. Crispy Gyoza was my favorite over anywhere. Rice not too dry and separated. This is how Japanese food should be. And the salad was a nice fresh touch as opposed to steamed veggies. And u get a bowl of soup with each meal. Was close to the hwy exit so it made for a great, quick, affordable, healthy-ish dinner stop. read more

This is by far my favorite teriyaki. It's flavorful and tender and the presentation is nice. The restaurant is clean and the service is great. The sushi and egg drop soup are also wonderful. My husband usually orders sweet and sour chicken and its always moist and flavorful. The owners are nice too! Always friendly and accommodating. Our family loves Teriyaki Box take out. We've never eaten in. Our order is always ready in less than 15 minutes and waiting for us. The family meal deal is great for us. Food is always tasty, hot and plentiful. We get a second meal out of the left overs, fantastic for our budget. We can rarely afford to eat out these days, but can always afford to splurge on this fantastic place. Recommend the egg rolls, and the rice is always perfect.
