Chicken Katsu and General Tsao combo!
    Jill C.

We moved to Lake Stevens a year ago and recently discovered this teriyaki joint. We were surprised at all the excellent reviews and gave it a try. We've gone twice so far. First visit we ate the spicy teriyaki meal. The second visit I tried the combo of chicken Katsu and General Tsao Chicken. Pros: OMG my combo was amazing and flavorful. The chicken Katsu was nice and crispy and I do like white chicken. The general Tsao sauce was bursting with flavor. I ate my whole meal and one sitting. They do take decent time prepping meals which means they cook fresh and want to put out quality food! Cons: My husband and I have one construction criticism: there needs to be more spice sauce on the spicy chicken. We've ordered the spicy chicken twice now and both times were dry on the sauce. The soy sauce that they include helps. We'll be coming back!!! The general Tsao is just amazing! And this is coming from a Korean

There's so much good teriyaki in the PNW! This is yet another great place for some chicken teriyaki. The weekday lunch special is a very good deal. The chicken was so tender and juicy! The teriyaki sauce was very flavorful. It only took a few minutes to receive my food. The cashier was very friendly. I can't wait to come here again!

That doesn't look like a vegetable stir fry to me

Apparently my vegetarian stir fry order was just a huge 3 course to go box of fried rice. My kids were happy with their chicken teriyaki while I ate my egg rolls. First time here, but I won't be going back. The cooks were sitting on the dirty floor in back playing cards. No masks in the kitchen at all. They gave us potstickers which was nice, but I wanted vegetarian stir fry. I paid for an entree, not the over abundance of fried rice.

The food is good and done fast. I like the spicy chicken and orange chicken. They prefer cash but can take cards.

Been a favorite since high school. Get a big portion for the price. Also love the chicken bowl if you're looking for a smaller portion.

Best vegetarian stir fry, could eat it every day. My buddy said their spicy chicken teriyaki was great.

The menu offers a solid variety of sushi rolls and sashimi, and everything we tried tasted incredibly fresh. You can tell there's real attention to quality and presentation here. Service was just as impressive--our waiter was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there, which always elevates the experience. Overall, a great spot for fresh sushi and a relaxed vibe. I'll absolutely be back, especially to take full advantage of that happy hour next time.

While looking over the menu, my wife ordered a 16oz draft Sapporo for $8 and I ordered a glass of Toscano Sangiovese for $13. My wine pour did not seem like a full 5oz standard pour but rather a 4oz reduced pour. We shared the Chicken Karaage for $15.95: Japanese Fried Chicken. The appetizer was undercooked and visually unappealing. My wife ordered the Pork Katsu Donburi for $16.45. Served with Miso Soup. Bland. I ordered the Hamalapeno Roll for $18.95: crab mix, avocado and cucumber, topped with fresh jalapeno. After dinner my wife sipped on a 1oz Jameson pour for $10. I sipped on an Old Fashioned for $15. Service was decent. Overall, Kiyama Sushi is overpriced serving underwhelming food. We will not return.

Katsu Burger does not offer any alcohol. During our visit we ordered the Pork Banzai Bites for $6.95. We actually wasted/tossed this item due to the flavorless and toughness of the pork. My wife ordered the Ohayou Gozaimasu for $13.95: Beef Katsu, Fried Egg, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Tonkatsu Sauce and Japanese Mayo. I ordered the Godzilla Attack Spicy with Chicken for $12.50: 12 Spice Sprinkled on Chicken Katsu, Jalapenos (pickled), Pepper Jack Cheese, Tonakatsu Sauce and Spicy Mayo. I ordered my burger without a bun and all the burger toppings. I was disappointed that the jalapenos were pickled rather than freshly sliced. After trying the pork, beef and chicken, we both decided that the chicken was the better tasting of them all. Overall, Katsu Burger did not impress either one of us. Staff wasn't friendly. Establishment is a bit run-down. Food was mediocre. Prices are fair. If we ever stop here again, I will be sure to take my order home to enjoy.
