Teriyaki chicken is not made to order. It was premade and taken out to be laid on over my rice. Then cut into slices with a scissor (my first time seeing that and I was thinking wtf? lol). I had no choice but to get my teriyaki here since my favorite spot next to it on the corner was closed for remodeling. That place was made to order like Sarku Of Japan with decent pricing for double meat! My rice was somewhat too moist as well, like how you teach your kids to make rice but they put a lil too much water? Almost congee like. Won't be back to the everett mall for teriyaki unless that other spot opens. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the teriyaki chicken still tasted as it should. Inside Everett Mall, you can find an underrated Teriyaki spot. I ordered a spicy chicken teriyaki, which cost about $10. When dining in the food court, the worker would provide a bottle of sauce to use, which I made use of. The portion of the rice and chicken was more than enough for one person. The chicken's spiciness was also great, as it is spicier than other teriyaki spots. Overall, I recommend coming to Teriyaki Express if you don't care about dining in a mall. read more

The Everett Mall food court is one of the worst food courts I have even been to in terms of quality and selection, thankfully this mom and pop Teriyaki spot is the exception! Im a big fan of the Mongolian beef, the flavor is as it should be, quality of food is great and the portions are more than fair for the price. It also comes with a side salad that im a fan of and unlike most Teriyaki spots around they dont skimp on the sauces and actually let you have it bu the bottle. Great place! This was the worst teriyaki I've had in possibly my entire life. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and the chicken was tough, dry and chewy. The sauce wasn't very appetizing and the salad was horrible. I wouldn't even call it a salad. Also, the rice served with the teriyaki was very dry and hard. If you're a restaurant, how do you screw up rice this bad? This is worse than a 5 years first attempt to make rice in a rice cooker at home. My girlfriend ordered the Large Bento Box. The California Roll was made with soggy, squishy overcooked rice. The avocado was brown and old. The ginger was dryer than the desert and browning already. It was probably left out uncovered for days. The shrimp tempura was absolutely disgusting. FYI, they do not clean the shrimp so they are leaving the vein (digestive track) in the shrimp and feeding it to you. It was highly overbattered and was not cooked all the way through. The batter itself did not even seem like tempura batter. It was thick and cakey. To top it off, they did not give us any sauce for it either. I am highly opposed to wasting food but this food was so bad that we ended up throwing over 80% of it away. If I could I would give this place negative stars. We will never return. read more

Of all teriyaki restaurants in the Greater Seattle Area, Teriyaki Express in the Everett Mall is the best. The price is generous, and the quantity is great! My favorites plates are the hot spicy teriyaki chicken and yakisoba. Both meals are rich in taste and flavor, and I wish I could take their meals with me to the East Coast. I hit this place up about once every other week. They do good teriyaki that is, for the most part, consistent and what you would expect from a teriyaki place. I personally like the chicken and beef but they also do yakisoba, spicy chicken, and the other standards. The portions are generous and will definitely leave you full. Someone said something about the service being bad... there's one guy who always wears a "Dexter Lady" apron. He seems like he could care less about you or your order and if you ask for a sauce it's like you insulted his family but the other 2 (a woman and a man wearing a hat with a rhinestoned, peace-sign/heart hat) are usually nice and accommodating. I paid 7.92 for the teriyaki. it came out fast and when I opened the box I was amazed! piled high with chicken, these guys don't skimp! the chicken was most and full of flavor. I was not able to even finish my meal it was so big. I will be coming back here are every time I come to the mall. Delicious gyoza!!! They have this like, vinegar sauce that is absolutely fantastic and I always get extra. Food is a bit pricey, but I love it anyways. I work in the mall so I eat there frequently. I've been ordering the gyoza this whole time and then the guy today asked me if I want the side order or the dinner order. I was shocked because the side order is half the price! I've been ordering the gigantic portion this whole time and throwing half of it away because I couldn't eat the entire thing. I ordered on Uber Eats. I ordered the Chicken and Pork Teriyaki Combo, and side order of Gyoza. The serving of teriyaki was extraordinarily large! The bed of rice covered the entire bottom of the square styrofoam container with chicken and pork lining each side. Although the amount of food couldn't make up for the lack of flavor! The rice was soggy in a lot of places and very very bland. The teriyaki and gyoza were also very bland as well. Some of the teriyaki just had a burnt flavor. Also, this is the first teriyaki place I've eaten that doesn't send a little container of sauce (soy sauce or teriyaki sauce) with the food. Usually so you can pour it over the white rice and teriyaki, in this case would have added a lot of flavor to their bland food. Giving a 2 Star only for the portion size, all though didn't taste great. The gyoza were alright, kind of just bland with a slight cabbage taste. The sauce that came with that was an orangish color I've never seen before so didn't even try it. Also kind of mushy, maybe could have been fried a little longer. read more

This is by far my favorite teriyaki place in western washington! I love the taste and quality of their chicken. It is cooked to perfection every time and not at all fatty like a lot of other teriyaki places. Also the portions are HUGE and a very good value for how much food you get. I pay a little over $8.00 after tax for a giant portion of the best tasting chicken teriyaki and fried rice, and I always have leftovers for later! I have tried so many teriyaki places nearby, but nothing compares to this little place at the mall! I have been here more than any other teriyaki place and will continue to be as long as the food remains to be the best teriyaki available north of Seattle. read more
