The sushi and sashimi was so good!! The place is located at a busy intersection in Everett but has ample amount of parking. We were seated immediately and the service was quick. The staff is really attentive and keeps checking on you, which is great. The only negative I have is for the katsu. It wasn't good at all. It looked like it was fried before and then refried before service. That is the one thing I wasn't happy about but I wouldn't take a star away for that . read more

The combination of the Udon bowl of noodles with a Spicy Tuna roll is ideal if you're solo. $16 I think and it's a really nice contrast of hot/cold as well as umami and sushi. We normally go to Katana in Everett but we found our new favorite here in Oshima! The portions are so much bigger and even in size, it doesn't feel like we're eating rice balls. Service is great. The restaurant is really cute with nice mellow music to fit the vibe. read more

The edamame were a very large portion for our appetizer. We ordered avocado rolls, genki rolls and a shrimp crunch roll. I don't like seaweed so we got the rice paper substitute and it was delicious. The avocado rolls had great flavor, the salmon on the genki roll was perfectly seared and the shrimp crunch rolls had the perfect ration of every flavor. The server was quick and checked in multiple times for beverages and more food. It looks like a hole in the wall from the outside but the inside it's warm and inviting with decor and music at an enjoyable level. The chef is right in front preparing all the rolls so it's a little bit of dinner and a show. Looking forward to coming back! read more

The lady running this place was so incredibly nice and attentive. It's on the pricier side but I will say at least everything was tasty. The Yakisoba was yummy but you'd get more ordering from a teriyaki place. Sushi was good. Gyozas were good. Calamari was good but was weirdly reminiscent of a cold mozzarella stick lol. Oshima has always been my favorite Japanese cuisine in Everett or near where I live! For years, I've loved their udon, ramen, sushi and especially the chirashi and poke bowls! It's been a family fix for when we want Japanese food and I've gotten my boyfriend to really like it too. I get delivery every now and then, and tonight, I got a chicken katsu combo that comes with a choice of 4 sushi rolls that they have you select from their selection of sushi rolls. It comes with miso soup! The chicken katsu was crispy, fully breaded and NOT oily which was so wonderful! Their kids meal for beef teriyaki was impressive as well. It looked like a regular meal, like the Katsu price! Oshima does such a great job of making sure you've had a hearty meal and I love the combos and extras they have in making your meal feel satisfying. Display is still my favorite sushi restaurant in Everett so far. We had a fantastic dining experience with friends. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh flavorful and expertly prepare. Wired the food was definitely the highlight of my visit. I found a server to be satisfactory. The server was friendly, but a bit slow at times however, this did not significantly impact my enjoyment of the meal. I have eaten here many times and it is always great. Recently I had asked for a big order and they were able to help me figure out quantities and menu items. They had asked for at least a week or two for large orders. I'm so glad they could make a lot of food for us for a party and it was a success. Usually I just get sushi for myself but for the party I ordered edamame, potstickers, and Karage chicken, and sushi rolls. We had a lot of food and it was eaten up and gone very quickly! I know I'm reviewing a sushi restaurant despite not being a big seafood fan, so I'll keep that in mind. We ordered the pork katsu, one of my favorite dishes, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. While the katsu sauce had great flavor, the pork itself was cut or pounded so thin that the breading ended up being thicker than the meat in most places. The crispy, flaky texture of the breading was excellent, but with so little meat, each bite felt dry. The rice was cooked perfectly, though the portion felt a bit small considering the price. The meal did include miso soup and a salad, which added some value, but they were fairly standard--nothing particularly noteworthy. I understand that this is primarily a sushi restaurant, so this dish may not be a focus for them. However, if it's on the menu, I believe it should be executed well or reconsidered. I'd say if you are looking for sushi check this place out. If you are looking for something else maybe try something other than the Pork Katsu. read more

Great reviews, looked clean, and close. Wowzer. #jackpot What a great find. Fish was fresh. Beer was cold. Beer glass was frozen. Can't complain about a thing here. From the tempura to the poke tacos to the shumai, fresh, fresh, fresh. Highly recommend for a quick bite or a leisurely dine. We enjoyed the latter while we waited on our friends to arrive. Oshima Sushi is certainly a lovely find. Located in a shopping center in Everett, Oshima offers a wide variety of Japanese dishes for people who aren't inclined to like sushi. There's a little bit of everything here from bento boxes to ramen and soba but they do also have an impressive amount of rolls. While I didn't care for mine - nothing wrong with it, just a flavor profile I unexpectedly didn't like - I was pleasantly surprised by the tasty nigiri and the delightful price point that went with it. The decorvis dated and not necessarily the strongest first impression, but what they lack in looks they make up strongly in service. Be warned: there's a girl working here who shamelessly tries to extort money from customers. After we had already paid for our order, she came up to us aggressively and loudly, demanding to know why we hadn't left a tip. She then had the audacity to say that if we're not tipping, we should take our food and leave -- not eat it inside. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior. Tipping is optional, not mandatory, and no employee has the right to harass paying customers after a completed transaction. I'll come here and eat whatever I want, pay for my food, and leave exactly as much tip as I personally decide -- if any at all. Bullying people into tipping is disgraceful. If the staff can't behave professionally, management needs to step in -- or expect to lose customers. read more

Definitely one of our favorite sushi places in Everett! We stopped in for the first time back in December for lunch after doing some Christmas shopping. We were impressed with the large menu with different options than what you'd normally find. We got a few rolls including the Baked Lobster Roll and Lynnwood Roll. Those two were especially good but everything was fantastic. We also ordered Monkey Balls from the appetizers and were blown away at how creative and delicious those were. I'd return solely for those! We've gotten takeout a couple times since and haven't been disappointed at all. Service is always great! Not sure how this place has 4 starts.. it's a solid 2.5 in my book. We were the only other table here at 7p last night. We ordered various different rolls to share and fried calamari. The calamari is pretty standard. I was expecting something more tempura based (soft and light in color) but it looks like they just coated it in bread crumbs and deep fried it. The rolls were sad (rainbow, Lynnwood, California, spider, white tuna - I can't remember the rest). The tuna did not taste fresh. It just tasted day(s) old. The California is what you'd expect and the spider roll was actually decent but you can't really screw up anything deep fried. Service was decent. We ordered several rounds of Sapporo and hot sake. Not sure if it's industry standard but they poured the sake out of a bigger bottle and then heated it in the microwave. Our total for 6 ppl was $238 including tip. My search for Seattle quality sushi continues in the Lynnwood/Everett area. The best one I've found so far (haven't been to in a while) is the Wild Wasabi in Lynnwood. I can't remember exactly which rolls we ordered, but I enjoyed them all and found that the ingredients tasted fresh and the fish was a nice soft texture (I had one bite that had a bit of chewy fish but that was it).
