Chicken Teriyaki & Spicy Tuna Rolls: Chicken is grilled well, lil' specks of char and the sauce is run-of-the-mill. Tuna rolls were fantastic. Salad was pleasant, though, I noticed the dressing is less vinegary--which I like! Hold My Katsu: Panned out chicken cutlet lay between a soft loaf, accompanied by cabbage salad, pickles, and katsu sauce. This was awesome, highly recommend. I recommend that you call them directly or walk in for takeout because those prices are much better than DoorDash or Uber eats will give you. This is a small family run establishment with excellent quality, food and customer service. Everyone I interacted with yesterday was extremely helpful and friendly. I was surprised that in this day and age their prices were still very good. I was just there to order takeout lunch for my husband and myself. I ordered the Seattle Roll, a spicy tuna roll, chicken and tempura combo, and an extra salad since the chicken entree came with a salad. I was not prepared for how much food I would receive! When I brought it home, my husband and I both laughed because we had so much food that there was no way we could eat it all. Not complaining! It was great! The tempura was easily the best I've had in the area. Perfectly done. The chicken teriyaki was perfect as well. The spicy tuna roll was excellent. The Seattle roll was really good, but did come with smoked salmon as advertised so patrons should be aware of that - you do taste the smoke. The salad was shredded cabbage with a delicious light dressing. This is hands down the best overall sushi/teriyaki place for take out in the Town Center in my opinion. Delivery review In short Big menu, lots of choices, easy to customize when ordering online. Most importantly of all, the food's really good. In long The football playoffs have a tendency to turn me into a slug. Even with good leftovers we could have heated up, a hot lunch handed to us sounded like quite a luxury yesterday. It took about 2 minutes to wear down our willpower, especially when we saw all the stuff on the menu from Solid. Now, I do need to say that the sections of the menu are kinda all over the map, at least on the app I used. But keep scrolling through it and make sure you find what you like. Once you pick a dish, you can easily choose whether you want rice or salad. Those are such givens at so many yaki places that you usually have to write in special instructions if you want a change. Not here. You can easily say whether you want it all, or what you'd rather have instead, from choices they built in to their menu on the app. No roll of the dice as to whether busy cooks will notice your note. Spicy chicken teriyaki Spicy? Not really. Lots of garlic, though, good seasoning to it. They do include a little extra hot sauce. With that and some hot sauce from our own cupboard it came to life. If you choose no salad, it comes in a smaller container. Less waste! Dig it. Gyoza They're all off the same truck, and Solid cooks theirs well. Nice little cheat for me. I always like 'em. Spicy beef bulgogi Gorgeous veg around it, and the rice is flavorful and cooked perfectly. The beef itself is again not really spicy, but that's easy to fix. The salad that came with it is the usual sugary dressing on a small scoop of mix. Probably skip that next time. Service was quick and prices were fair. We have been here a few times and really enjoy the food. The restaurant is takeout only and does not have ability to order food online, but it is easy to order over food and it takes only 10-15 minutes. Each time I have gotten the chicken teriyaki with gyoza. There are many restaurants that offer this, but what I like about their version is that the portion is generous and that the chicken is moist and has great flavor. It is really good. The gyoza are excellent also, just the right amount of crispiness. The rice is fine, then the salad is not great, but usually isn't from these places. If you like great chicken it is worth checking out. Then they also offer sushi and other items not usually at teriyaki places. read more

First of all, I will say the food is still very good, and there was plenty in the amount of the serving. The service was adequate. We don't frequent this restaurant as often as we used to, partly because we can no longer eat inside the restaurant, and we don't particularly enjoy eating in our car. We drive in from Snohomish, so it would be much more pleasant to have a table to place our dishes on. I also ordered a diet drink, and I'm not sure what the issue was, but it tasted watered down. Not your typical run of the mill teriyaki joint. This place is pretty legit with real pieces of meat that taste like meat and is decently juicy. We ordered take out and got teriyaki chicken (breast) and a Katsura chicken and it was really good and large portions. It does cost more than the typical joints but you get such a better product. The pork bulgogi was really good as well. They are only take out as a result of Covid. I hope they do fine in again one day. Overall I will be back and you should give this place a try. The only reason for the semi-negative review is the piss poor attitude of the kid helping us. We had questions about the menu and he seemed irritated like we were bothering him in his empty restaurant and never once looked at us or cracked a smile until we left. A SOLID NO from me. Gave this place 3 chances and I'm over it. First time wasn't very memorable, I had ordered the Not So Pulled Pork and have had better bulgogi sandwiches (shout out to 9 Delicacies). Went again and tried the Far East Philly which comes with a dipping sauce. The bread was more toasted than I would like and it destroyed my mouth, plus they barely gave me any sauce. I mentioned it to the cashier (guess he's actually the business manager) and he just kind of laughed and was like "yeah, I told them they needed to put more but wouldn't do it" and said that wasn't the norm. I just shrugged it off because overall it tasted good. Months had passed and I decided I wanted to come here again. Same guy was on the phone so we stood there for a little bit and while on the phone he asked if it was for here or to go. We said here, I ordered the Far East Philly again and requested the bread be lightly toasted since it destroyed my mouth last time. He laughed at me and was acting like my request was ridiculous and said "it's going to be toasted either way, we can't control how toasted it gets". I was pretty shocked seeing as other places do not have any problem with taking it out earlier than usual to make it less toasted. I just said "okay.. " and he was like "you still want it"? I said yes because honestly nothing else on their menu looked interesting. We also ordered 2 drinks and he didn't give us any cups, so I went up to the soda fountain where there were cups and got some soda. He was like "you know you need to pay for soda, right"? And I said, "well we ordered 2 drinks.." and he laughs again and was like "oh yeah I was on the phone with Door Dash and forgot", and proceeds to give us different cups. Food was okay and bread was less toasted but not that good or worth it when you get this kind of service. A true hidden gem. I got to talk to TK, the owner, as he was ringing me up and learned a little bit about the history of him and his mother's teriyaki place. The flavor of the teriyaki itself is pure deliciousness. I had asked for suggestions on the bubble tea to get and was recommended strawberry and coconut. This Teriyaki place used to be called something else (I don't remember the name), but essentially they renamed the business and renovated the interior of the building. It's the same food and same staff as before and same menu. The interior renovation is nice and modern albeit a little too avocado toast cafe for my tastes (for a teriyaki joint anyways). The teriyaki is decent with average portion style and good quality. My gyoza always seems nicely fried and my chicken is well marinated and mostly cooked well (it's always a little overdone). I like the shredded lettuce salad as opposed to leafy lettuce from other places. The texture is more pleasant to eat. Worth trying if you are in the area. read more

Pros: they marinade the meat in the sauce and then cook it versus just putting it on top, the rice is fluffy and perfectly cooked, the salad is a slaw style versus just lettuce leaves AND its dressing is amazing, great size portions, nice environment, lemon fused water, TVs if you like watching while eating, friendly staff, great location. Saw the great reviews for this restaurant's revamp and decided to drop in to check it out for myself. I was impressed and can't wait to come back. SOLID is located at the south end of Mill Creek Town Center, near Central Market and Tablas. Parking is easy (try your luck with street parking in front of the restaurant or just park in the Central Market lot) and there are entrances both in the front and the back. The decor has been updated and now looks squeaky clean and a lot more modern. Staff is friendly, professional, and mostly made up of the same folks who have been working here for years. The menu changes are the best part about SOLID. Everything I tried was awesome. They've added a couple of sandwiches, the most notable of which is the Hold My Katsu sandwich, a colossal chicken sandwich with two breaded chicken breast patties on a soft roll, slaw, pickles, and katsu sauce. It was fantastic and is easily big enough to satisfy even the hungriest person without needing any additional sides or appetizers. I also tried the spicy chicken teriyaki, which was coated in a delicious flavorful sauce (could have perhaps been a few notches more spicy, but the taste was great) and the beef yakisoba, the classic stir fry using tender flank steak, fresh veggies and ingredients, and brought together with a nice sauce and seasoning. I think I've found my new regular go-to teriyaki joint. I look forward to returning and can't wait to try more of their menu! read more

Wow! What a difference from the usual teriyaki experience. We ordered General Tsao's chicken, basic chicken teriyaki, and beef yakisoba for take out and we were impressed! The order was just being completed when we got there. The person at the counter was very nice and friendly and it felt like he was glad for our business. The food was just as ordered and it was still super warm when we got home. The teriyaki was a little charred (perfect) and very tender. It came with a finely shredded cabbage salad and a tasty salad dressing, and a generous scoop of rice and extra teriyaki sauce. The General Tsao's was wonderful and was served on top of some sautéed onions. The chicken was crisp and the sauce was sooo good, less sweet than others. It also came with a generous scoop of steamed rice. The yakisoba had *lots* of fresh veggies and was great. I think over the last couple of years the quality of all these dishes has diminished locally. Not here. So happy to have discovered this place and it will for sure be our go-to for teriyaki. read more

Like you grew up eating at a joint and it was the absolute best but then they closed, or changed ownership or chefs or something and then boom, no more ideal teriyaki? If you aren't looking for teriyaki like food you should probably try someplace else. Katsu chicken was amazing and portions are Hawaii sized. Big enough to share either with hubs or both my kids.
