Not your typical run of the mill teriyaki joint. This place is pretty legit with real pieces of meat that taste like meat and is decently juicy. We ordered take out and got teriyaki chicken (breast) and a Katsura chicken and it was really good and large portions. It does cost more than the typical joints but you get such a better product. The pork bulgogi was really good as well. They are only take out as a result of Covid. I hope they do fine in again one day. Overall I will be back and you should give this place a try. Will not disappoint!

1st time trying Solid and the teriyaki is pricey, but fantastic. Chicken Katsu and Spicey Teriyaki are great and portions are decent. The only reason for the semi-negative review is the piss poor attitude of the kid helping us. We had questions about the menu and he seemed irritated like we were bothering him in his empty restaurant and never once looked at us or cracked a smile until we left. Sad stuff considering how good the food is.

Try the far east Philly sandwich. Unique, flavorful, and the dipping broth and Mac salad are nice touches too. Was too hungry for it to capture the best picture, it's sooo good.

We came in here to just get a bubble tea but damn it smelled good. We ended up getting Mongolian Beef and a Spider Roll. The Mongolian Beef was very tendee with zero fatty pieces. Great flavor as well. Spider Roll was tasty and a good size. To say we went from a $5 bubble tea to a $31 meal and were really glad we did says something. Thumbs up, Solid.

We've gone now a few times and I am updating my review to 5. I was a bit harsh in my original review on customer service. The gentleman (owner) is pretty cool. I think he's being himself which is respecting customer's space as they come in and extending courtesies when we're ready to order. Not everyone can be bubbly (I know I can't!). Great food all the time.

Tiny portion of chicken, not spicy, not much flavor either. Salad is not a salad, idk what that is.

In short The vibe is all friendly neighborhood joint, but…read morethe fish (especially the sashimi) is excellent. Hard to beat this place. In long We've been meaning to try it forever and finally dragged our carcasses in here when we were coming back from an afternoon up north. Quiet Sunday night on Thanksgiving weekend, and we scored perfect parking and got a table instantly. So we're already in a great mood, right? It's a shoebox-shaped room with a few extra tables in one corner. Newish strip mall construction. You can come in from either end, which I would not have guessed. It's sparkling clean and well lit with some nice warmth to the lighting. Big flatscreens behind the sushi bar, probably tuned to the ballgame or the news or something. The menu feels comfortingly familiar. The usual apps, solid list of sashimi, lots of classic rolls and then a couple full pages of specialty rolls. Matcha for later. So far you don't feel like you're in crazy territory, though they do list hamachi collar as an all-the-time hot dish, which is cool. So many places run out of it right away and list it only as a special, but not here. The sake list is just enough--a couple of each type, some solid and reasonably-priced house options, a couple really nice picks. You get your sake right away and the miso doesn't take much longer. The takoyaki was delicious and beautiful. Lots of garnish, boiling hot, great flavor. Nice tako bits in there, lots of creamy filling. They garnish the seaweed salad with daikon and load it with cucumber. More places should do both of these things. The cucumber in particular enhanced the flavor a ton. Once the rolls showed up, things got better and better. The Love Hunter and the Amazing were both fantastic. Great combinations of flavors and textures, generously portioned and topped. We got some classic taki too, and that was a great contrast. I love it so much when places nail the classics and the modern. I got the deluxe sashimi dinner. For $36 this is such a value. The hamachi and the other tuna were both super buttery, the salmon had tons of flavor, and there were a couple other nice fish on the plate as well. It's great when you find a place you're super happy you tried, but this immediately goes into the rotation as an any-night sushi spot. Affordable enough you don't have to wait for a special occasion! Dig this place hard.

Highly quality sushi and great roll options :)…read more This spot is located very centrally within the Mill Creek Town Center so it is a good spot for a little day out in the area. It is a smaller restaurant so it may be a good idea to call before going in for the dinner rush. I went on a solo outing here for lunch and was surprised that they have an all day happy hour for most of their operating days (excluding holidays). The happy hour offered a great selection of apps and a good selection of rolls! I opted to try the smokey roll which was on the happy hour menu. This roll featured smoked salmon on top which was very tasty. I also ordered the deluxe salmon roll which was also very good! I recommend requesting a side of spicy mayo for the smokey roll. Overall, I was super happy for both of my rolls and the price was not too bad for high quality sushi!

We really enjoyed their more simple rolls-- the spicy tuna was outstanding. The suicide roll was also a surprise favorite, and actually had some decent spice! The firecracker roll was a bit of a letdown, it just wasn't anything special compared to some of their low-cost rolls. Not worth the upgrade in my opinion. I had been a customer before and live in the area, so the place is well known to me. I came in to eat dinner with my young son on the late side Friday evening, and after walking in the door and waiting to be seated, an older lady (fiftyish to sixtyish) approached and immediately told me they had taken their last order and would not seat me. I checked my watch and I was surprised to see it was not closing time. There were still lots of people seated and eating. Clever way to lose customers. If this employee is too old and tired to work, send her home or cut her loose. You would think in this day and age with restaurants closing left and right, Sushi Zen might place more value on customer relations. Not likely to give this place any business again.

We were craving some something warm and since this one was the closest in the area and one of the only places that has ramen, we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Red Volcano Tonkotsu And Tonkotsu Ramen. The ramen noodle itself was good and chewy. Egg was perfectly cooked with yolk on the inside and well marinated on the outside. We thought the broth was okay, it needed more flavor and it didn't really taste like authentic Japanese ramen to us. The red volcano was very very spicy, I do not recommend if you cannot handle spice, I really thought it was just a kick of spice before ordering but it was actually very spicy that it was almost impossible to enjoy the broth. The regular tonkotsu was lighter in flavor. Both ramen dishes had this pickled vegetable and bok choy in there which is not like traditional Japanese ramen but we didn't mind the extra crunch. I wouldn't get the ramen again but I'm open to trying their sushi if I ever go again.

The sashimi is exceptional--always incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and the cuts are so generous. Every bite tastes clean, rich, and high-quality... exactly what you hope for but rarely find this consistently. My personal favorites? The Chirashi bowl is absolutely incredible, and I'm obsessed with their shrimp & veggie tempura and fried calamari appetizers--perfectly cooked, crispy, and seriously addictive. What really sets Wasabi Bay apart, though, is the experience. The staff is warm, attentive, and you can tell they truly care. On multiple visits, they've surprised me with a complimentary side dish--such a small gesture, but it says everything about how they treat their customers. This is the kind of spot you end up craving and recommending to everyone you know. Whether you're a sushi regular or just getting into it, Wasabi Bay is a must-visit.
