One of the best things about this place is that they offer a full vegan menu, which is definitely a big plus. We started with the pumpkin tempura. It was crispy on the outside, with a naturally sweet pumpkin inside. It was really delicious. It came with a dipping sauce, though the portion felt quite small. The side of lettuce and a chunk of purple cabbage felt a bit odd presentation wise, but once we wrapped everything together and dipped it, it tasted great. For my main, I ordered the vegan herb tofu salad with medium spice. It was mostly fried tofu tossed in a herb dressing with mint, tamarind, and cilantro. The flavor was a mix of sweet, spicy, and tangy. It honestly reminded me a bit of pani puri. That said, the sweetness was a bit overpowering and made the dish slightly sticky. If they toned that down, it would be perfect. We also tried the vegan 17th curry fried rice, which was good. The curry flavor was subtle. My toddler absolutely loved it. Overall, I would recommend this place, especially for vegans. The food was good, with the only downside being that some dishes leaned a bit too sweet for my taste. The service was okay, not exceptional, but not bad either. I had visited this place about three years ago on a busy Friday night and had a pretty poor service experience, so I wanted to give it another shot on a weekday. He's all about curating the best local ingredients in small batches to maintain the best quality. No frozen food served here. For all foodies out there, this is good news!!! He goes "I eat what you eat so I make sure everything is good for your health". (And delicious of course given he's a foodie himself as he enjoys talking about his food experience in Thailand). His revolving seasonal menu depends on the demand and what's available to maximize freshness. The closest this place reminds me of is Thai Isarn in Alderwood. Maybe better. They have some typical offerings like pad thai, pad seew, chicken satay but we especially love their unique inventions. We visited over a weekday for lunch and we were seated immediately. The place is quite and cozy with rustic ambiance. Has a nice bar setting for folks who like to hang out with friends. We ordered their Drunkard Noodles (with chicken) and Fried Rice (with shrimp). The Drunkard Noodles was the best. Freshly cooked with the right spice level (per our preference) and fresh ingredients. The noodle was both juicy and flavorful (one of the best we have had). The Fried Rice comes on a fresh pineapple boat with fried onions and small fresh chunks of which was good. Great place to unwind after a longish week! Parking was a little challenging especially since it was raining heavily when we visited for dinner. The restaurant is spacious and a little dark inside. Service was quick and we were seated quickly without reservations. Local beer drafts were available along with other more fun drinks. We had a few appetizers: crispy tumeric squid, steamed mussels, pork belly in garlic. We then added street noodle with beef short ribs, and grandma's eggplant. The mussels were ok, the squid and pork belly were very good, with accompanying sauces that matched so tasting well! The street noodle was good, the sweet black sauce reminding of Chinese chow fun a little. The short rib cubes seemed to have been added to the noodle later and did not quite absorb the flavoring of the noodle. The eggplant was well cooked and fantastic! The minced pork and savory sauce complemented it well. White rice would have been really good with this. The only complaint I had: it was so dark. I could not see the menu without using my phone flash, and could not enjoy the visual appeal of the food we ordered to its full extent. The pictures came out much brighter though. read more

Came here for dinner after visiting Stocker Farms for Halloween. We were a group of six and really excited to try this place out. We ordered Thai iced tea, pineapple fried rice, pad see ew, ginger chicken rice, and the northern curry chicken. Unfortunately, most of the dishes were a bit disappointing. Aside from the northern curry, nothing really stood out. The flavors were there, but the dishes turned out soggy and not spicy enough - we went with Medium spice level but all the dishes were actually on sweeter side. I wish the fried rice and pad see ew had been cooked a little longer to give them that nice wok-fried texture. The ginger chicken rice also lacked flavor -- we couldn't even finish it. On the bright side, the northern curry was amazing! It had just the right amount of flavor and spice, and it was perfect for the chilly evening. The service was good, no complaints there! We went for an early dinner, a little before 5. We had a few appetizers--the street chicken, which was fried and had fried shallots. It was yummy, especially with the sauce. The fried squid tentacles were ok. It had batter and it was crispy, just wished it was better seasoned. The pork belly was just fried---wished it had a more unique flavor, rather than just being fried pork pieces. We also had the steamed mussels. The mussel meat were plump and tender, but again, wished the broth could use some tamarind or lemongrass hint. I think most of the food were under seasoned because maybe they didn't want to compete with the strong flavored sauces that went with each dish. The Pad See Ew was really tasty and good, I have to say. The service was very friendly and attentive. Our waitress always around and she was really nice. The food was extraordinary. I ordered the turmeric chicken curry which did not come with rice, so that was extra. But the flavor was amazing. Chicken and potatoes cooked to perfection. The side cucumber salad meshed well. I do wish they gave a little more of it as it was in a small dish. My friends ordered the short rib street noodles (similar to pad see ew) and I tried some of it... wow. Another friend ordered the pad Thai which I also tried and I was very impressed. I also ordered one of their specialty drinks which was okay and that was $15. My total for my curry, rice, and drink was $44 with tax + tip but the food was totally worth it. We had dinner at Tee Sud with our family, including a baby. Our baby was excited about food and was being loud in a very typical baby way, babbling and squealing, but not doing anything unusual for a baby in a public restaurant. What was shocking was the owner's attitude. He came over repeatedly asking if the baby was "doing okay," and by the third time he directly asked me, "Do you want to step outside to calm him down?" I said no. He then followed with, "Are you sure?" A couple minutes later, another staff member came over again asking if everything was okay. It was very clear we were being pressured to remove our baby from the restaurant, instead of being treated like welcomed customers. If this restaurant does not want babies or young children, they should say that clearly on their website instead of trying to shame parents in person. The restaurant's website presents it as a normal dine-in spot and does not appear to disclose any no-kids policy. Families deserve to know this before they spend money here. The food may or may not be good, but the hospitality was not. read more

Why didn't I find this place sooner? As a group of Thai diners, we can confidently say this is one of the most authentic Thai restaurants in the Greater Seattle area! Our group of eight loved every single dish we tried today. Especially the Street noodle, crispy pork with jalapeño dipping sauce, squid with salted egg yolk, and the school roti. The street noodle had that perfect pan-smoked aroma, and the egg yolk was incredibly tasty. The restaurant also has nice decorations with a charming rustic style that adds to the overall experience. There's totally a fun vibe here and it's cute enough to be a date spot or place you celebrate. The food was fantastic and the service great. We were checked on frequently and even had several people come out of the kitchen to make sure we were enjoying our food. The chicken wings stole the show... OMG just the best. Also loved the pineapple fried rice. They have a huge special menu on the wall which we didn't have the chance to dig into since we ordered so much already, but I would love to come back and sample their daily offerings too. The chicken dish was lightly fried with some cashews and sauce. It was unremarkable as I forgot even the name. It wasn't bad, just nothing special. I did not like the pad Thai or satay. The pad Thai was overcooked and almost gummy. It was also overly sweet. I wouldn't recommend this. The chicken in the satay seemed a touch undercooked so I didn't feel safe eating it. We ordered the deep fried calamari, street noodles, crab fried rice, and spicy and sour soup. The calamari was delicious, needed some salt but had dipping sauce which gave the flavor. They didn't give us much but it was only like 7 bucks so still a good value. They were SUPER crunchy. The wife's and my thai iced tea was good, strong, but our glasses were completely filled with ice so mine got empty after like 3 drinks. Spicy and Sour Soup came out next. It was probably the most flavorful Thai soup I've ever had. The sour was borderline too much, luckily the spice and sweet was able to offset it. Only odd thing was they put whole cherry tomatoes in it. Not sure why they didn't cut them, they didn't impart any flavor to the broth whole. Oh well, i like em anyways so no complaints here. The street noodle and crab friend rice came out at the same time. The fried rice seemed deceptively small but it did its duty with gusto. Large and plentiful pieces of crab meat. Definitely justified it's heafty 20 plus dollar price tag. I could eat that all day... It may make it on my death row dish request... The street noodle satisfied my wide fried noodle craving and the pieces of beef were large cubes that looked and tasted braised. My very slight complaint is that the beef pieces themselves were too salty so if you order make sure you take a bite of noodles or rice with it. Price wise we paid 100 bucks with tip for 2 adults and 2 kids. The crotchey old man spirit animal in me screams highway robbery but I suppose the price wasn't too bad for what we got. Service was quick and friendly. They have a nice selection of beers include some on tap. I had a Kolsch style beer. I ordered the Ancient Fried Rice with Chicken. It was excellent, the best I have had in a while. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and the flavors were spot on. Everyone loved their food. Some had noodles (which I tasted and were also excellent), then someone else loved their snapper. Portions are a decent size. We will definitely be back. read more
