I was so excited to try this place because of the good reviews. I'm really not trying to be mean but this was the worst sushi I've ever had. We ordered 3 rolls, and a tempura plate and none of it was good. The sauces were really gross and the fish did not taste fresh. On top of it not being good, it was extremely overpriced for what it was. For our 4 items it was $80. Left really disappointed and left a bunch of food on the table. read more

I'm obsessed with this Everette sushi place on evergreen way. Super fresh fish and definitely not Seattle prices. I now stop here religiously on my way back from weekends up in the Skagit valley. My new favorite sushi place! I didn't think it would be anything special due to its location but I checked the reviews and decided to give it a try (Tuesday September 19). I'm so glad I did! I love how it's decorated inside; it's nice and quiet. The sushi itself was well made; you could see each individual component within the rolls. We got a rainbow roll, a shrimp lovers roll, and an Aloha roll. My husband LOVED his aloha roll (spicy tuna topped with more tuna and jalapeño) and we both loved the shrimp lovers roll. And you can never go wrong with a rainbow roll! We ordered the chicken Yakisoba and you could smell how delicious it was going to be when it came to the table. Kiddo gobbled down the noodles and veggies in the Yakisoba and then ate the chicken later. I snuck a bite and it was scrumptious! The sushi chef and server were all lovely. My daughter and I stopped in here for sushi and udon and both were absolutely delicious. The broth was very flavorful and I really enjoyed it. Sushi was very good although the rolls did not have a ton of fish in them. Service was very slow, even though there were only 2 other tables besides me and my daughter. When my order arrive to my place the sushi rice was discolored and was falling apart. I called to get a refund, but apparently they don't know how to work their own computers to issue the refund. The salmon on top of the roll was barely there, what was there, was like left over small thin pieces and Avocado in the California roll had multiple rotten spots. Food was de-licious! We ordered a bunch of rolls and some appetizers, and it was all fresh, clean and awesome! The Genki Roll was the best, with the Crazy Monkey and the Karen rolls as the runner ups! This place is deserving of 5 stars for how good the food was! That said, the reason I'm leaving 4 stars is because the customer service was dismissive and rude, and far too prominent to look over in my review. But overall, it's safe to say we'll definitely be carrying out from here again soon! I just hope the waitress is in a better mood next time. read more

It was so flavorful, the sauces and toppings really brought the roll together in a delicious meaty lobster bite. The rainbow roll was very fresh and a great transition roll between rolls so I always order it at most sushi spots i visit and this one is by far one of the best rainbow rolls I've tried! I love the food and have been coming here for quite some time. However, after my experience this evening, I'd have to say, it will be my last. I was charged an almost 18% service charge for having (6) people in my party. Now I know this is a practice at many restaurants, but I did not see it posted anywhere and was blindsided on my bill. So between the "service charge" and additional tip, it added up to About $50 for $120 bill. read more

I just walked out of a restaurant for the first time (this one) because my boyfriend and I received absolutely no service. There were two tables that sat down after us and got service before us; one had even gotten their food. There were 6 tables: 3 were 4 tops, 3 were 2 tops and one of them was us. There were also 2 or 3 servers on the floor and the hostess was taking care of all takeout so that didn't affect the servers. We were sitting there for 25 minutes and didn't even get waters yet. We have been coming here regularly for years for consistently tasty and reasonably priced rolls. They seem to put lots more of the delicious sauces on their rolls than some other places in the area, which we love. The rolls are tasty and have a good amount of fish on them. Service is always polite and prompt. They also do a great job for take out, providing plenty of sauces and ginger/wasabi. They also have a great selection of rolls. For this review we ordered take out and tried some new rolls, all fresh fish rolls. We LOVED the Karen and the crazy monkey rolls! The seared tuna on the Lynnwood roll is also yummy. I've ordered from Oshima multiple times in the past, always pick-up, and each time they've always taken significantly longer than their estimates, but tonight I witnessed the most egregious example of their poor performance. I get that restaurants are busy, it happens to people and definitely happens to restaurants, but when I called earlier today, they told me fifteen minutes. I had to wait for an hour -- four times what I was told -- before my order was done, and by then some of it was cold. I wasn't the only one who had to wait extremely long either. One of the people waiting for pickup alongside me left in frustration of waiting. Is the food in Oshima good? It's better than most places around, but not that good to the point where I would ever risk waiting another hour waiting. Food was horrible. Ordered shrimp tempura, pork tonkatsu bento, and sesame chicken bento. Waited 25 minutes for the food to come out even when there were only two of us inside the restaurant. Shrimp tempura was cold, pork tonkatsu was as dry as the dessert and looks so old. The sesame chicken was so salty. California roll was OLD. Avocado was so brown. Giza was so oily. Rice was so hard and cold. Ridiculous!!!! It did not end there, the credit machine was not working so I had to run across the street to get cash. This has been one of our go to restaurants for years . Always fresh, good sized portions and priced reasonably But what the heck is going on? Is there new management? Cooks? The food quality was horrible. Fish was old, and the chicken yakisoba was half the size it used to be to be with hardly any broccoli or chicken. Just so disappointing. I don't mind if prices have to go up but don't cheapen the food. Wife and I don't think we can go back. I truly hope this may have been just a one off. read more

Overall a perfect place to stop for Japanese food. they seem to be doing good business. We got the miso soup, the Age Daishi Tofu (fried tofu appetizer with a special daishi broth), the tuna roll and nigiri combo, and 5 hamachi sashimi. We lived in Japan so we thought the rice in the nigiri was decent. The hamachi sashimi was particularly excellent. Nice casual atmosphere and perfectly acceptable service. The miso was a tad bit salty for what we are used to but satisfying. The combo came with a salad which was pretty fresh and the dressing was delicious. We just could've had a little bit more dressing and it could've been spread more evenly on the lettuce. We had the hot tea and they did offer to bring us water. They had at least three servers so it made for a pretty efficient evening. We were in and out nice and quickly for a sit down dinner. Good value. read more

Look no further, great sushi is here! I've tried a lot of other sushi places in Everett, and this is by FAR the best. The fish is always fresh, and they craft each role with the delicacy and care required of sushi. I've found other places can be quite "clunky," for lack of a better term. They have an array of rolls to choose from, I usually get the Sexy roll, rainbow, and shrimp crunchy roll. And the portions are big enough for 1-1.5 rolls to be a good meal.
