We ordered the Crunch roll, Sunrise roll, seared salmon roll, and bluefin tuna, and everything was incredibly fresh, with perfectly cooked rice. Ordering four rolls for two people was super filling, and our food came out in a quick fifteen minutes. Prices are standard for the area, ranging from $11 to $15 per roll, but they also offer a fantastic happy hour from 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Sunday, and all day on Wednesdays (excluding holidays). In long We've been meaning to try it forever and finally dragged our carcasses in here when we were coming back from an afternoon up north. Quiet Sunday night on Thanksgiving weekend, and we scored perfect parking and got a table instantly. So we're already in a great mood, right? It's a shoebox-shaped room with a few extra tables in one corner. Newish strip mall construction. You can come in from either end, which I would not have guessed. It's sparkling clean and well lit with some nice warmth to the lighting. Big flatscreens behind the sushi bar, probably tuned to the ballgame or the news or something. The menu feels comfortingly familiar. The usual apps, solid list of sashimi, lots of classic rolls and then a couple full pages of specialty rolls. Matcha for later. So far you don't feel like you're in crazy territory, though they do list hamachi collar as an all-the-time hot dish, which is cool. So many places run out of it right away and list it only as a special, but not here. The sake list is just enough--a couple of each type, some solid and reasonably-priced house options, a couple really nice picks. You get your sake right away and the miso doesn't take much longer. The takoyaki was delicious and beautiful. Lots of garnish, boiling hot, great flavor. Nice tako bits in there, lots of creamy filling. They garnish the seaweed salad with daikon and load it with cucumber. More places should do both of these things. The cucumber in particular enhanced the flavor a ton. Once the rolls showed up, things got better and better. The Love Hunter and the Amazing were both fantastic. Great combinations of flavors and textures, generously portioned and topped. We got some classic taki too, and that was a great contrast. I love it so much when places nail the classics and the modern. I got the deluxe sashimi dinner. For $36 this is such a value. The hamachi and the other tuna were both super buttery, the salmon had tons of flavor, and there were a couple other nice fish on the plate as well. Highly quality sushi and great roll options :) This spot is located very centrally within the Mill Creek Town Center so it is a good spot for a little day out in the area. It is a smaller restaurant so it may be a good idea to call before going in for the dinner rush. I went on a solo outing here for lunch and was surprised that they have an all day happy hour for most of their operating days (excluding holidays). The happy hour offered a great selection of apps and a good selection of rolls! I opted to try the smokey roll which was on the happy hour menu. This roll featured smoked salmon on top which was very tasty. I also ordered the deluxe salmon roll which was also very good! I recommend requesting a side of spicy mayo for the smokey roll. An absolute shock! My partner and I have been here back in early 2024, and I am glad I gave it another chance! Last time, the rolls were subpar, there was nothing note worthy with the service being a little absent even while it was empty. This time, however, The service was exceptional. We went on Labor Day for dinner around 6pm. The restaurant was busy, but we still felt attended to. The rolls were very good. My partner and I ordered the perfect Hamachi, double salmon, and the Julia roll with a salmon maki roll to top it off. Every piece did not skip out on fish. It was a nice balance with the flavors coming together on every bite. There was no wait, and we sat down immediately. I noticed a group of four Japanese chatting in Japanese eating at the sushi counter. I told myself - good sign. Service was swift and efficient, no complaints. Their food prices are on the higher end; they look like Bellevue, Kirkland prices, which surprised me. Basic items like agedashi tofu and takoyaki are nearly $10. Their rolls appear to be amongst their best options. The rice is sufficiently thin. The fish is fresh. The sauces are restrained. These are my min bars for sushi rolls. The Food: Lion King Roll, $14.95 - 4.5 Stars Menu: Snow crab, avocado, topped with salmon, baked with dynamite Sauce, masago, green onion I enjoy a baked roll if it's done right. Theirs is not swimming in sauce. Good execution with the snow crab having just a touch of warmth. Very good execution overall. Amazing Roll, $18.95 - 4 Stars Menu: Bluefin tuna, hamachi, salmon, jalapeno, top with scallop, avocado, fresh wasabi sauce This is one of their most spendy rolls. I like the variety of fishes, plus the scallop topping, so this is a thumbs up for me. Double Salmon Roll, $15.95 - 4 Stars Menu: Salmon Sashimi, avocado, cucumber inside, topped with salmon, masago, green onion This is essentially a CA roll made with salmon instead. Given their salmon is pretty good, it's a thumbs up, too. Hamachi Kama, $18.95 - 1 Stars This grilled yellowtail collar seasoned with salt and pepper is terrible AND expensive. It's easily one of the most expensive hamachi kamas that we have had in the greater Puget Sound area. It was dry, and they didn't sear the skin. It's a double failure to not have cooked it in high enough temp to seal in the juices and not sear the skin. Fail! read more

My wife and I decided on sushi for a rare date night without the kids and MOMO Sushi was along the path, so we decided to try a new place. TLDR; it was solid but hasn't stolen my #1 spot. We arrived at 4:30 on a Monday evening, as soon as they'd opened and were pleasantly surprised to see that Happy Hour was available until 5:30, saving us a few dollars on some of our selections. The two of us were HUNGRY so we ordered Takoyaki plus five rolls, after getting some recommendations from the server. We asked if that would be too much and she told us it should be about right; four would have been perfect. I hurt a little bit afterwards. My oolong tea came out quickly, but I was a bit disappointed to have a bag of tea instead of a pot I could use for refills. Takoyaki came in a few minutes and was the best I've had. A good chewiness and texture for the octopus without being rubbery, with a smooth and creamy filling, and delicious sauces on top. I satisfied myself with the main dish but my wife gladly ate the greens underneath coated in the sauce as well. Three rolls came out first - Salamander, Tokyo, and Crunch Rolls. The Salamander has a side of sauce that was phenomenal and added a bit of spice, as well as a complexity of flavor that was appreciated; the Roll may have been disappointing otherwise, but we both enjoyed it. The Tokyo Roll was OK for me, but I'd probably pass next time (though, to be fair, my wife liked that one more than most). The kiwi on top didn't do anything for me, but the wife really enjoyed it. On the other hand, I really liked the Crunch Roll, but my better half wasn't as big a fan, saying that she would've liked more texture on top. Paired with ginger and wasabi, it hit the spot for me. Speaking of ginger, I'll say that MOMO had the largest pieces for ginger I've ever had at a sushi restaurant and, while tasty, that wasn't a good thing. I had to tear some pieces to avoid having a triple-folded piece on top of my sushi. I wish they'd cut it a bit smaller for my convenience. Not a big deal, but there it is. Our last two rolls came out - the MOMO Roll and Super California Roll. Shockingly, the namesake roll was both of our least favorite and the one we'd drop next time. The roll was deep fried and warm, with a cold tuna topping. It wasn't bad, but was bland compared to the other rolls and didn't have the heat or depth of flavor I was expecting. The SCR was tasty, adding a bit of texture by deep frying the traditional California Roll and adding some sauce and roe on top. As a side note, our first tray of three rolls had a side of ginger and wasabi, but none was provided on the second tray. I probably could have requested more, but chose to go a bit light on ginger to make it last. Including tip, the bill came out to a bit over $100. Not a cheap date, but we ate well and, had we skipped the MOMO Roll, we would've been closer to $80. Overall, I'd go back but I'd want to try a few different rolls. For some reason, it seems that almost all their rolls include avocado, which seems a bit odd (though I do typically enjoy it). read more

Another great dinner at MOMO. We came here tonight for dinner since we were craving something fairly healthy before we stuff ourselves tomorrow for thanksgiving. We got there around 7:30 and the place was pretty busy. It was only a short wait for a table but almost all of the tables were constantly filled while we were there. We got a few sushi rolls to share including spicy tuna, eel avocado, deep fried CA roll, and the fire kiss. They came out quickly despite the place being busy with dine in and takeout customers. Everything was tasty with the highlight being the fire kiss roll. My only complaints were that the spicy tuna had way too much cucumber in it and the rolls were a bit messily made. Got sushi takeout without expecting too much. Delighted to report that this place had fantastic food. Quantity and size on rolls were fair, a bit hesitant on the sashimi alone though, but they allow you to choose nigiri or sashimi for each piece of fish. I guess that's great if you don't like the rice or prefer only the fish so you can reduce your food waste. - Salmon Sashimi It's exactly what it says. Two pieces of salmon sashimi. Wouldn't get again for the value, I'd opt for any other item. - Smoky Roll Mango wasn't present on the outer pieces, mostly just the middle ones. With that in mind, it was nice to have some pieces without mango. Spicy tuna makes up the bulk of this roll, not much snow crab if any despite being part of the description. - Go Sea Hawks Roll Spicy tuna and tempura green onion inside topped with salmon and avocado. The green onion wasn't really tempura for me, it was simply a long thick piece of green onion through the center. Tasted like a basic spicy tuna roll with salmon on the edges. - Deluxe Sushi Dinner Got this with the spicy salmon roll. Eight other nigiris you don't get to choose but all very good. This is the better choice if you want a variety and want to try different things. The Salmon Dinner is better for all salmon sashimi (obviously). - Sake Maki Big fan of these small pieces for smaller prices. Just good salmon all around. A simple pairing with any of the rolls with more content. - Fantasy Roll Stands out with sliced lemon on top and shrimp tempura tails on the ends. The end pieces do not have salmon or lemon in favor of the tempura tail. The lemon is a nice tang, but I think I prefer without. - Unagi Sashimi They gave the nigiri instead but I think it's better. The sashimi and nigiri are the same price for two pieces but the sashimi alone wasn't enough, especially in such small quantities. Typical unagi with unagi sauce. - Salmon Dinner Highly recommend opting for the Alaska Roll - just salmon and avocado but so creamy and good. Comes with three regular salmon sashimi slices and five different salmon nigiris. - Milk Creek Roll A nice crunchy option. The scallop was a bit firmer though and would've preferred it to be softer but delicious nonetheless. Though, some pieces (2 or 3) were dominated by the imitation crab meat and there was no scallop so feel slightly cheated, but still tasty. - Julia Roll Originally looked like the Fantasy Roll due to the salmon and lemon on top, but the inside is tuna rather than shrimp tempura. I liked this more than the Fantasy Roll, simply more fish compared to the tempura. - Unagi Roll Pretty big piece of avocado inside and a fair portion of unagi.
