First time eating here, and I'm so glad I finally gave it a try! I originally found this place…read morethrough all the recommendations on social media, and now I can definitely see why it's an award winning teriyaki restaurant. The chicken was incredibly moist with a great smoky flavor, but the sauces were what really stood out to me. Both the regular teriyaki sauce and the spicy sauce are some of the best I've had compared to other teriyaki restaurants. The sauce has a great balance and isn't overly sweet or sickening like some other places I've tried. The philadelphia roll was fresh and delicious, which was a great surprise and definitely something I'll be coming back for. I also ordered the spicy chicken which is always a classic choice and it was much better than I expected. I also noticed they have beef ribeye on the menu. I really like that they specify the cut instead of just calling it "beef," because you actually know which part of beef you're getting. I'll definitely be back to try the beef ribeye next time!

A pretty standard Teriyaki place…read more The portion sizes were large with lots of chicken and a good quantity of rice, which was the strength of this restaurant. The chicken was tender with pretty standard flavor, but had a little more much sauce than I like (as is common with Teriyaki restaurants). I did not find the salad appealing - iceberg lettuce with an Asian sesame dressing -- pretty nondescript and not great. The California roll was ok, a nice appetizer to go with the teriyaki. They had a few kinds of sushi and a variety of other Asian food offerings, meaning a fair amount of choice. The restaurant does a very busy takeout business, as well as having several tables occupied inside. It is clear that it is a local favorite. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food came out quicker than promised. FYI: parking can be difficult on Friday or Saturday night ... more people want to go than there are spaces available.

This pretty food truck sushi. I stopped by because it's there at Loggerodeo and got a Fried Cali…read moreRoll. That thing is as big as Steve Tyler's mouth. Dude looks like a sushi It was so hard to put in my mouth that I had to eat it with a dang fork!!!! Haha! I'm used to eating sushi with chop sticks! It was pretty tasty. Again you are getting sushi in a food truck not something from a restaurant so don't expect something so extravagant, but it's good for what you get. It was pretty tasty for what I got I believe and the guy is super nice, even offered to make any kind of speciality roll I wanted so I asked for avocados on my rolls and that hit good! That truck is also eye catching!

I was sooooo excited to hear that another food truck was descending upon the Skagit food scene,…read moreeven moreso when I heard it was going to be a sushi truck. So I couldn't wait to check them out! Sadly, it took awhile to figure out where to find them. Initially it was announced they'd be at North Sound Brewing on the weekends. But I stopped there twice and... no truck. I looked for updates on social media, but (alas) still couldn't seem to sync up with them. Then, one random weeknight, we headed to Barley & Brew in Sedro Woolley to see a comedy show, and there was Karuma. Score! At the time, I was recovering from a tummy bug, and didn't want to eat raw fish yet, so I ordered a California Roll and got a beeper to await my order. 45 minutes later... it was ready. And...it was delish. Not to mention HUGE! I couldn't even finish it. Since they're new, I'll give them grace on the long wait and hard-to-findness. But I do hope to run into them again soon (maybe, finally, at North Sound) and give some of their other tasty sounding sushi a try!
