YAY! So excited to have Bowlba! Located in the heart of downtown Arlington, this is the BEST place to find flavor-packed Asian soup options with a variety of soup bases and noodles. The option to customize any soup is great, but their signature soups are the perfect place to start if you want to try it all. I loved the Chinese Five Spice signature soup, so much flavor and just the right amount without feeling too full. I added heat from the spice table, and their vinegar soaked jalenpenos to add in were chefs kiss! We also enjoyed the Japanese Miso Ramen. Of course we also ordered bobas - Mango milk tea (was the BEST my daughter ever had and she's quite the expert), my Thai Iced tea was perfection as well. Bobas are also highly customizable from ice amount to sweetness level. It was just under $50 for two soups and two drinks, so we might not be able to make this is routine option but for special treats it hit the spot!

So fast! Stew beef rice bowl, comes with a side of broth. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with it. I asked if I pour it in, he said no. I asked if I just drink it. He said not really lol I gave up. I'll just enjoy it however. It's delicious vegetable broth.

I love the idea of having the choice of creating your own bowl. Their fresh ingredients really shine through. It was a perfect bowl of deliciousness. The female employee that helped me with my order was so friendly. This place is conveniently located downtown with street parking plus additional parking across the street. I'm definitely returning!

The boba is highly customizable and reasonably priced. $5 for the base milk tea and 75 cents for each add on (like tapioca pearls) so realistically is $6 for a boba drink. We also got two of the pho Tai (beef noodle pho) and it was pretty good! It looked way different from the pho that I'm used to but I think the veggies are actually fresher than I'm used to. The carrots and radishes were picked and crunchy and the onion circles were raw (and crunchy) there were also scallions and Thai basil but they just put the Thai basil into the soup, it wasn't on the side on a separate plate like I'm used to. Regardless, it was a pretty delicious soup. Non-traditional but they did a good job. The inside of the restaurant is small. There is a long bar along one wall and then maybe 4 or 5 tables along the other wall. This place is casual dining and not really the best for big groups. There were 5 of us and I think that's the biggest group they can accommodate (unless you buy out the place )

Counter service place with menu options for bowls and customization- lots of gluten free options. Bubble tea options too and canned soda. I had the chicken Tom yum and added the pickled jalapeños and spicy sour sauce from the condiment bar - was really good and perfect on a cold windy day - everything tastes fresh. Place is small with counter seating and a few tables but lots of to-go options for takeout. Will be back!

I've eaten here several times! Always very generous with their portions! The food is to die for. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options too which is always appreciated in Arlington! Also love that this place keeps the broth separate from the rest of the dish when you order take out. The food is never soggy which is much appreciated since I have a long drive home. Restaurant itself is small but there is plenty of seating, the decorations are cozy with hand painted art on the wall. You can tell the people who work here really love this place. I would definitely take my friends here :)

I didn't even need a takeout box, it was that good!

Not only Absolutely Amazing food!!! But also amazing customer service!! And the ambiance of the place is quit unique, my girlfriend loved it. were celebrating our 4 year anniversary and this place hit the exact spot we were looking for, Definitely will be coming back to this hidden gem!

The ambiance is standard, and very clean. We had the broiled mackerel, sanchu, veggie pancake, kimchi stew, and some Kalbi ribs. Everything was very flavorful and spiced perfectly. We ordered the dinner for 2 on a separate occasion, and it actually fed our family of 4! (2 younger kids) This is definitely my go-to Korean food spot!

We ordered the kimchi pancake, short rib soup with potatoes and glass noodles, and fried beef brisket (spice level 2/4). The kimchi pancake was overly breaded and tasted like it had been fried in reused oil. The short rib soup was the safest dish of the night, but the beef was still chewy rather than tender, the glass noodles were minimal, and the broth was extremely salty with a noticeable MSG-like taste. The fried beef brisket was heavily sauced, overly salty, and far spicier than a mild level should be. The beef itself tasted far from fresh and was very tough to chew. The appetizers were among the most basic I've seen at any Korean restaurant in the Greater Seattle area. Even then, the kimchi lacked depth and tasted unfresh, with sourness that felt more like age than proper fermentation. What made the experience even stranger was when the server asked how everything was. We tried to respond politely, and the server simply said, "I'm with you." Korean food is not rare in this area, and the prices here are on the higher side. With that context, the quality is difficult to justify. To be fair, the space is decent for group gatherings, large space, and the staff were friendly. But food is the most basic standard for a restaurant, and unfortunately it fell far below expectations. I genuinely don't understand how this place has such high ratings.

The lady who took my order was sweet and had very good customer service with everyone. They have a cute little eating area if you choose to stay and eat. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken it came with white rice and a side salad. The chicken was deep fried and then dipped in the sauce. It had a little crunch to it, where most places serve it soggy. The food was absolutely amazing, cooked fresh and well worth the wait!!! Seriously one of the best I've had since I was a little girl. Excited to try their fried rice next!!!!

I highly recommend the meat combo plates. They come with steamed rice and salad and are a must-try. I also got my customized bubble tea, which is my favorite. The Udon, however, didn't taste great as the broth lacked flavor. I loved that they offer complimentary egg soup, coffee, and a water station. There are some tables and chairs for casual dine-in, and orders are placed at the front desk. Service is quick, and it's usually busy in the evenings since there are very few Asian takeout spots in the area. Overall, it's a local favorite.

I think this one is now my least favorite, but still worth a stop if you are in the area. Lots of easy parking, all you can eat for a semi affordable price and lots of good options to make your food exactly to your liking. Do be aware that there are no lunch prices on weekends and that if you are choosing to do take out, its by weight here which would get really pricey fast. My partner did not love this one as much and seems to not want to return back. He's been upset about the changing of how you sauce your food since covid, it's so hard to get a decent amount of garlic and ginger on your food these days. I really appreciate that they offer the things I require for my Mongolian Grill which are tofu, black olives and cilantro, these are not options at every place and really make me want to return here over and over again. It is also nice that they discourage you from standing around while your food is being cooked and want you to go sit down at your table to wait. I appreciate this, but do notice that this means your food might be up there waiting for your for a minute and they don't want you to grab it. The ambiance here is nothing special. Little plastic dixie cups do drink your can of soda from. The wife I had twice as much meat and twice as much vegetables in the food she handed to the "cook". But both our plates looked the same after cooking. They must skim some of the meat off that you give them to cook for you. The sound of the guy cooking on the flat top sounds like you're in a 1800s blacksmith shop. The water bottle looked dirty. The soy sauce bottle spout looked grimy with some form of crud. The top of the black pepper shaker had something wiped on it. The nearby light fixture had some grime all over it. And the lovely desert which was a tablespoon of ice cream, served with a baby doll miniature spoon had some kind of mysterious substance on the outside of the cup. I've heard the milk creek location is much nicer.
