So many one star reviews? Is this on a hit list? This is a pretty normal pho place. I didn't notice anything about it that should warrant such a low average. Although....I can't exactly increase the average by much. I didn't really like the broth. It struck me as being slightly more salty and slightly less savory. Not terrible though, just okay. Also, the beef steak was a teeny bit thick and overcooked. Some places put it on top at the last second so it's still kinda pink when it reaches the customer. This joint just kinda has it in there. Having said that, the texture was still okay. It wasn't too tough or anything. read more

Was in the area today and stopped by for the first time I was pleasantly surprised. We moved from San Jose, CA so I know real Vietnamese food and this place was delicious and flavorful! Great food and great service! We have been coming for years and we appreciate the consistency. I wanted to address the lower reviews for this establishment, and explain what I have learned. When people give one star reviews, click on that profile. You will find that many people only use yelp to complain and be negative, or are trying to sabotage a business. In my opinion, anyone who gives a review, should at least attempt to contact the business first to share their experience. And for the people who only use yelp to complain, try spreading some positivity into our community and start leaving positive feedback as well. Been coming here for six years or so. The food has always been great. Flavorful broth, noodles just right, vegetables and proteins well balanced. Pho is all about the broth and they never disappoint. The service has always been quick and friendly. A lot of reviews seem to expect some kind of bubbly fake cheerfulness. We're always greeted with a smile and a thank you when we leave. The food is good. It did take some time to get my order. First one sent out was wrong and it took equally long to get my next try of my original order. Had the cold vermicelli noodles with egg roll and pork. The dish itself is good. But not sure what it was...I was left with a rumbling gut. It didn't lead to anything explosive...just percolating. My buddy had the pho with something. The broth was really flavorful. I also got the iced coffee which is definitely brewed and drip style. Not that instant stuff. Wanted to love this place, but this restaurant will never answer their phone, for a to go order. I'm convinced it's intentional at this point.. Forces you to order online through sites like DoorDash. Which is fine. Until you drive 15 min to pick up your food, and the place is pitch dark, and closed!? No call, message, nothing. And still charged me. I made a yelp account just to leave this review. Please note, my family is from Vietnam, I've helped work at 3 pho restaurants with them, this review is simply about a place with people I would never want to eat from. I ordered online for pick up and they accepted it, I paid $17.92 for one small pho. I asked for extra hoisin, lime and chili oil please. I go to pick it up 35 minutes later and when I get there, the man working the front tells me he's not making it because "they're asking for too much", then tells me "they" need to call to get it cancelled because he is not going to make it for someone asking for "a lot a lot a lot a lot". I told him I can pay extra for sauce right now if he needs and I have my card in hand and he says no, he's not making it, then proceeds to go on about how the person who ordered asked for too much. I tell him to cancel the order then so I don't get a fee for cancelling this late, he says no, I need to. After going back and forth and me telling him he needs to cancel it if he's the one who isn't going to make it, he refuses again and again, all because he "didnt know how much sauce to give". He keeps saying "they" and "the person" so I clarify that I am the one who placed the order and came to pick it up for myself, and that I just wanted a pho with extra sauce, at this point I'm tearing up because cmon man, either give me the refund or the food, and after he realized that he's telling me all this stuff about the order that I know I didn't say, mind you, it's been like 5-10 minutes of him doing this, being rude and raising his voice, he goes "oh, did you still want the pho?". Okay I went here with a friend. He and some other buddies are regulars and I let them order for me. I figured why not? I'll let the frequent flyers set me up with the good stuff. I'm a noob at Pho but I figured out its noodle soup with the other stuff. I had a small size #1 which is the Pho broth, noodles, and some beef which was sliced thin and appeared to cook in the hot broth. I doctored mine up like my bros did with chili sauce and some pepper. We were given a plate of sliced jalapeños, bean sprouts, and some twigs of what I decided was mint. This is a process now, no digging right in. Once I thought I had it all decked out with the sprouts and what not I used chop stix and one of those Asian soup spoon/ladle thingies to dig in. That seemed to be the prevailing method to actually eat this stuff. Okay time to eat. Holy cow the broth was very flavorful and hot. Temperature and spice level both. I would eat this stuff if I had a cold. It was very good. Toward the bottom of the bowl all the flavors were concentrated. Yum. The broth stayed hot to the end and I didn't eat fast. My only regret is I didn't get the large bowl. I will definitely get that on the next trip. There are other menu items such as appetizers. I never actually looked at a menu. I just saw some snacky hand food coming out of the kitchen and it looked good. The gal who served us was the owner's daughter and she knows the guys I was with. She was friendly of course. There were no check backs as we ate but I didn't care about that. For those of you who are needy and require frequent interaction with the server you will not get that here. Also when you're done you walk up to the counter to pay. No cards accepted for checks under $10. I guess one could achieve a sub $10 check there. The small bowl is around $8. I asked for a Diet soda and got a 20 oz bottle of Diet Coke and a glass with ice so I'm assuming there's no fountain drinks with refills. I'm considering going back very soon. The restaurant was clean enough but I didn't do an inspection tour of the whole place. Didn't even hit the restroom. Was in the area and my family was craving for pho on a rainy evening. Seems like this is the closest pho place to us so we decided to just go in. I did read some previous reviews but just ignored it. So here goes my little 2 cents: Customer service does need improvement. Guy who served us ( the only person there besides the cook in the back I guess) didn't even say hi to us. He just handed us our menus. Then he came back and asked if we were ready to order which we were. We got number 2a and a number 6...also ordered some fried chicken wings... tbh, I've had better phos. And as far as the chicken, it was so bland!!! I think they forgot to add any seasonings at all!!! Also he checked how everything was for us. And when we were leaving, he did say thank you, but not even looked at us leaving.... Final say: I don't think I will ever go back to this place. Ordered 2 plates (4 rolls total) of tofu rolls to go, when I got home I realized I had gotten 2 tofu and 2 shrimp rolls. I used to work for a pho restaurant and understand places make things differently but the rolls only consisted of lettuce, vermicelli noodles and tofu/shrimp. Ordering from many other places you usually will get more vegetables in them I.e. carrots, cucumbers, Thai basil. Was disappointed as I was craving these all week. :( read more

It wasn't busy when we got here at 7pm on a Wednesday. We were seated and given menus immediately. Once we were seated - it took a while for him to take our order. Once he did, he wasn't too friendly. I ordered number 31: Vermicelli Noodles with Stir-fried Tofu & Vegetable. I will say that they have an awesome selection of food. Some pho places only have pho and 3 or 4 rice/vermicelli dishes on their menu so I was pleasantly surprised to see tofu :) It didn't take long to get our food. When I got my food, it looked yummy but the sauce comes already mixed with the noodles & it made my noodles fat and slimy. The tofu wasn't really fried - it was more boiled. I was really hungry so I ate a good part of it but honestly, it was really bland. I went home and ate a better dinner. You pay up front. I think there is only 1 or 2 people running this place because they seemed busy even if there was only 2 other groups besides us. read more
