Fancy Mexican restaurant... food is good sometimes I prefer just the generic Mexican restaurant.

We met some friends here for a big group birthday dinner, and I was expecting it to be a Mexican themed restaurant. There are certainly some Mexican themed food items on the menu, but there's a lot more. Really good appetizers, wide selection of cuisine to choose from, and great drinks. Atmosphere is bright and airy and it's clearly a local favorite. Service was on point given that there were about 15 of us, I was pretty impressed. Cute restaurant, great for date night or girls night out. Met up with a few girlfriends and we had a great time with an awesome server. He was very attentive and welcoming. The menu is a bit high on the price point, and I wouldn't call this place a "cantina" but a decent steakhouse. Mexican dishes didn't look authentic and my friend's tacos were little for almost $25. I ordered the burger with a side salad. Salad was amazing! That light dressing is delicious with impressive greens, not just romaine lettuce. I also ordered their specialty pomegranate margarita. Not sure about this place, I will have to try it again. Came here for dinner after a day in the lake. The big takeaways wings and the bacon wrapped scallops were bomb. Wings we actually ordered a second time because they had suck great flavor. 0ur server was ok, but slightly rude at times. We did have a large group, she was fairly attentive but clearly annoyed at times. Both the mango jalapeno margarita and regular margarita left a lot left to be desired. The steak it's elf for medium rare was very difficult to cut even with a steak knife. The potato tacos were different but alright. In short Nice dining room, scratch kitchen serving lots of American classics, a couple familiar Mexican things, and tons of good drinks. Kind of expensive, especially for Lake, but it's really good. In long We came in for a late lunch mid-week and had the dining room to ourselves. The bar was popping pretty good, and HH runs to the dining room, too-they have the HH menu on the table practically as soon as you sit down. This is a busy intersection in "old downtown," which is basically a strip mall or two. It's across the street from every local's favorite (and their parents' favorite) drive-through burger joint. It was a nice October day to sit at a window and watch people walking their dogs and kids, and more kids getting off school buses. The windows here are big, and the daytime vibe is really nice, especially with the cool and colorful patterned tile on the wall. They definitely run a steady parade of specials, including seasonal cocktails. The HH deals are screamin' on basic cocktails and apps. Some of the service here is probably the most fun people in town, including the guy who seemed like the owner when he stopped by for a table visit. Zucchini spears Most places don't try these unless they're out of a bag from the freezer, so they're mushy or greasy, which makes them harder to sell. But here they've gotta be fresh, because they were still firm. Just a little panko coating and a nice tangy aioli for dipping. Nice app for $8. Lobster tails Supposed to be a steak topper, but it's listed as a separate menu item, and they're happy to serve it that way. That's a nice touch. My wife doesn't have much use of her left hand at the moment, and they happily (and quickly) de-shelled them before bringing them out. Fresh, sweet, tender, delicious lobster tails for under $30. Very decadent for lunch but too good a deal not to order once in a while. Prime rib sandwich It's really just a good old French dip, but prime rib sounds fancier ('cause it IS fancier). Nice 1/8" cuts of meat, just enough mushrooms and cheese. The usual goodness in the au jus. Got a caesar salad with it that tasted scratch-made and seemed like it's probably very consistent. Nice satiny dressing from the egg, bright tartness. They slice up all the romaine, which I like, even if it's more "correctly" served with whole leaves (some places with great caesars insist on letting you slice up the lettuce yourself at the table). We got a Maple Bourbon Smash from the seasonal cocktail list, and a plain margarita from the HH list. The marg was just fine in the glass, and spectacular on the bill at $9. We had to send the water glasses back a couple times, which never feels fun. Looks like they need stronger detergent in the dish pit, or maybe just more of it. Everything else sparkled, though. This place has awesome classic dishes executed perfectly, and what looks like a really fun bar. We can't wait to check out more of their menu. read more

First time here for Father's Day just to check it out. There was a Father's Day special was not bad my husband said the rib eye was kinda salty. My pistachio salmon I thought will be a nice sauce (recommend) not just slap it on top of the salmon. Fish and chips of my daughter the fries was like is so much oil. The lemon butter salmon was bland. Karne Asda was just ok should gave a little bit more sauce and hot sauce. Taco ok also same maybe extra salsa on the side black beans kinda salty as well as rice. We do suggest that because we waited so long maybe complimentary chips and salsa. The prices of the food kinda pricey. First timer at Francisco's and I was knocked off my feet! The most delicious seasonal watermelon margarita started me off on the right foot. We continued with their guacamole...also a 10/10! So much and so delicious. Then we all ordered filet and lobster. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the lobster was big and delicious. I could live off the potato tacos on the appetizers menu. Only drawback is they don't offer a spicy salsa to go along with it. Now.. When feeling fancy I order lobster tails. The mashed potatoes are amazing and enough leftovers to make my own potato tacos at home. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the staff made us feel welcome from start to finish. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself to something a little fancy, this spot delivers. I'm so glad to have a place like this nearby. I have left a review about this place before, but i fell they deserve more than just one review.. and more than that. i can't not express how good of a bartender they have. Keely is the best worker i have met. As someone who bartended for six years, i can't fathom how she can run the whole bar and her tables. my drink is never empty, we always have good conversations and she works so so so hard her whole shift. I have always loved Francisco's for their food but now i love it more for their employees. It's not only Keely who delivers phenomenal service but the whole staff. from the host to server and bussers you'll never see a restaurant that works this hard and cares for their customers. I am from a different state and I make sure to visit this place every year when I visit. ITS THAT GOOD! And they hav never once disappointed me. The quality of the food, the ambiance, and the best customer service. The dishes I have ordered from here include tomahawk steak and other steaks which is was by far my favorite. The mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, and crunchy onion strips were to die for. So flavorful and every bite was incredible. French fries, shrimp, bread and butter with the French onion soup blew me away. I love that they keep the skin on the French fries! I've enjoyed two of their drinks and was impressed with the quality and flavor in every sip. Stopped in this afternoon for a quick bite and enjoyed almost everything! It was nice and clean, we were greeted by Francisco himself when we arrived. Marco was our server and he did a very good job also. The Ceviche was the highlight both in presentation and flavor. We also enjoyed their potato tacos and fries. Restaurant ambiance fresh and open. But a little noisy. Wait staff friendly and attentive. Food selection good. The French onion soup big bowl, not too much cheese, hot and tasty. Scallops wrapped in bacon worth it. The tempura edam and asparagus ok. Asparagus was tough, maybe use carrots or other vegetable. Partner had the lobster dinner. This was the best lobster we've ever tasted. All were cooked beautifully, soft and succulent. Most restaurants don't get this right. Great chefs. Also, the twice baked potato very tasty and soft. Melts in your mouth. And the lemon butter very good. Too bad forgot to take photos. Visiting from Hawaii and our islands don't cook good lobster like you do. Thanks. My first time at Francisco's with my family! On my son's recommendation. We had a fantastic experience! Our server, A.J. was outstanding! The beverages were amazing! Just came from there for happy hour. I will never go back and I will never tell anyone I know to go there! Service was horrible!!! Big guy working the bar should be fired! If he was the owner should be ashamed of yourself to just not wait on people. We sat and I kid you not there were people who sat after us ate and left before we left. Kind staff, great food! We chose to sit outside which was maybe a mistake...the patio is right next to the road so you will hear all of the cars pass by, which isn't really my thing. The inside is super cute, so if we were to find ourselves in this area again, we'd definitely sit inside. We came in a little after 3 on a Tuesday expecting happy hour based on previous Yelp photos of menus and were a little disappointed when we arrived and there wasn't happy hour. The restaurant is next to the lake. We met some friends here and grabbed dinner. They have an adult and kid menu. The food was fantastic. I got a burger, and it was thick with flavor and juices. My husband got a steak with shrimp. The portion size is average. They do have to-go boxes if you want to order out or take leftovers home. They have a cool peak a boo window on the floor to see the lake. The day we went the water was very low, but an unexpected find. There is also an outdoor eating area with umbrellas. It was cold, windy, and rainy the day we went so we ate indoors. The patio area would be nice to enjoy in better weather. There is a parking lot in the front but could also park at the lake and walk over if full. If in the area, it is a great place to grab a bite. read more

We decided to have dinner here and we absolutely loved it! I had the prime rib special with twice baked potato and green beans and it was perfect! My wife chose the Chicken Oscar which was smotherd with scallops and shrimp with bernais sauce . Absolutely delicious and tender! Also had Jalapeño mohito drinks and coconut shrimp appetizer. L Well, I've heard a lot about this place so I thought I would give it a try last night on my way home. I stopped in to pick up bacon wrapped scallop. And shrimp ceviche . Both of the items I was really looking forward to enjoying. When I took them out of the bag, it was the most mediocre looking food I have ever seen. It was very very expensive bar food, and both of the items tasted horrible. I would advise moving on and going to the next place on your list. Not a fan of this majorly overpriced mediocre bar food, if I wanted bar food, I would've went next-door to the local bar. read more

The fresh margaritas are the best here! They use fresh juice which makes them taste so much better. They also have some good cocktails they serve from their bar. In terms of food, I really enjoyed what we had. The burger would most likely be my top recommendation. Service was great, and our waiter was patient enough to walk us through everything as it was out first time. Overall, I definitely suggest this place for some nice food and drinks. My wife and I decided to check this place out because the weather was surprisingly nice. In the PNW, when there is a nose sunny day you have to take advantage. I thought the establishment was nice inside and has a modern "clean" look. The staff was good and service was a 8/10. I chose the Oscar Chicken. The chicken was smothered in scallops, shrimp and bearnaise sauce. My sides were asparagus and mash potatoes. It's always a good meal if you would go back again. I give it a 8.5/10. My wife had the chick en rajas. She advised me to talk y'all it was a 10 out of 10. What we really appreciated is the food came out at the perfect temperature. The food was hot but not to the degree of burning. Each bite was warm, juicy and filled with flavor. I recommend this spot to anyone and it's in a great area in lake Stevens. There's a lake/park across the street that makes for a great leisure walk post meal. read more

My husband and I came here for date night tonight and it was the best dining experience we have had in a very long time. Love the pomegranate in the guacamole. The coconut shrimp was delicious. My husband loved the prime rib. Our waitress recommended the lemon salmon dish and it was very yummy. But I have to rave most about the chocolate cake! I am a huge chocolate cake lover and this is hands down the best in the area. Need to make it a permanent dessert option. We've come before and had margaritas and they are great! Went here for the first time tonight. Celebrated my birthday with some dear friends. They have been talking about this nice restaurant in Lake Steven where a river runs under it and they have a glass floor. Well I'm not sure if it's a river, more like a creek or stream and sat outside so I never saw the glass floor, but the food and service were excellent and I didn't pay so bonus! I am definitely coming back, The wait was 30 minutes and they sold out of specials by 7pm so go early. The area has some nice places to walk around and check out while you are waiting though. read more

Honestly I think this place is over-rated. I love the concept of an upscale casual dining and Mexican, steak & seafood restaurant but it's over priced and not that great. Service was wonderful. I got a blackened salmon Caesar salad and although the presentation was on point, the romaine was not fresh (or possibly wilted from warm salmon) and the salmon was so dry and over cooked. The margaritas were not strong and mainly sweet and syrupy. Boy do they look great though. They really look so fresh and delicious but the taste wasn't there. We got a Cadillac, mango jalapeño, and prickly pear margarita. The classic Cadillac was by far the best of the three. The mango jalapeño was not spicy and tasted weird, but you couldn't really taste the mango. I wanted it to taste phenomenal because the looks were there, but it was a disappointment. The same went for the prickly pear, but it was so sweet and didn't taste like it had any tequila. The nachos were a good appetizer. We saw a lot of Yelp and Google pictures of their burgers, so we had to get one. It was delicious however the patty was THICK! It was nice and spicy because we got the poblano burger. The bun was dry but at least it didn't fall apart from the big burger and all the toppings. The fries are great and I appreciated how they were fresh and home made. It was not salted well, so add more if you need it. Kids got a quesadilla and chicken strips. The chicken strips were homemade, thin, but juicy and tender. read more
