In short People around here have such mixed feelings about the Buzz, ranging from Never Again to Big Favorite. They've always seemed just okay to me, but this one was perfectly fine today. In long This is kind of a nice strip mall complex, as these things go. BI has an end unit with a dining room toward the front and a lounge tucked in back. Both were busy today with a late-breakfast crowd. I had some time to kill and figured I wouldn't feel too bad taking up a table at a place this big. They're promoting breakfast with a big banner out front at the moment, which it turns out you order at the counter. I'm immediately guilt-free about taking up a table if they aren't sending servers out, just expediters. Dig it. They put a tray of ice waters on the counter--they've clearly dialed up the at-the-counter vibe to near table-service levels. I got an omelet and a coffee. They gave me a little table number and the expo brought my stuff out pretty quickly. I gotta say both the girls working today were super friendly and nice and made the place feel much more welcoming than another BI I hit a while back. The coffee here was surprisingly good--not overly roasted, solid flavor. The mug was from the roaster, whose name I've already forgotten. Kinda showing some pride in their coffee efforts. The food was decent. Clearly everything was out of a bag--processed cheese, egg mix rather than cracked shells. But good, despite the cheese being a little gluey. Hash browns had good flavor and crunch, biscuit was alright, too. Easy to finish, even though this was a little more food than I really needed today. Prices here are very fair. And I gotta say that big groups of friends filled every table and half the booths. Both rooms of the lounge were hoppin', too, and it was in between typical rush hours for breakfast or lunch. Walk in, go to counter, girl asks what we'd like.. my wife tells her, phone rings , she says one second, picks up phone starts talking ... Person is asking questions... 45 seconds or more go by... She starts taking their order, while we are standing there... 2 other workers are nearby... Then person starts asking questions about what they are ordering... Then they order a second dish.... Been like 4 minutes now... They order another dish... 5 plus minutes while we stand there with half our order in..... Never asked the person on the phone to hold... Another minute and we just walked out entire time other workers were walking around... Didn't take the call or our order Too bad, local place will not get our business again. read more

When we first went up to the counter there was no one to greet us for 5-10 minutes, the restaurant was empty aside from 3 tables, one of which was a larger group ill be honest. When the food was finally brought out, my guests food was ice cold, the hashbrowns were undercooked and WHITE after asking for extra crispy. My food was a completely different order and wasnt corrected for nearly 20 minutes, at which point my guests cold food was already finished. We never got any table service, the waitress only asked if i wanted a refill as she was delivering the food the first time. We were forced to pay up at the counter and had already given them a 25% tip. We have never had this bad of service before, weve come here for many years. Ordered tonight via Door Dash. Issue with meal and called the restaurant to let them know. Was told the feedback would be given to the chefs. First time eating the food from here but the adopted parents said it was good. Ordered fish and chips, cobb salad, waffle fries, chicken quesadilla, cheesecake and a skillet cookie. Dad reported fish was OK. Mom liked her salad, cookie and Texas toast. My quesadilla was missing black olives and tomatoes and light on the chicken but good otherwise. $14.99 for a side order of waffle fries shared seems steep and not enough fries for the price. I think for what it is, it's great. We have been going to these franchise "Buzz Inn" for 30 years. Monroe, Everett and now Lake Stevens. We always order the Sirloin special, I think it's cooked perfectly to order, a nice crisp little side salad, a loaded baked potato that is the size of a meal itself and Texas toast. After I had a recent exceedingly poor encounter at a nearby restaurant/bar, I'm vowing to be a better contributor to highlighting positives at restaurants that get reviews skewed to just one or two star reviews. I like some aspects of all Buzz Inns, although Buzz Inn as a whole seems to be an easy target for negativity and locations can have widely varied experiences. Lake Stevens isn't my "favorite" but gosh darn it, there are definitely overlooked positives. Weekday specials, breakfast and lunch, are consistently good. Today I ordered the lunch special (available M-F 11am to 1pm), Deluxe cheeseburger and fries for $8.99, which is the same price as a subpar Quarter Pounder meal at McDonalds. Okay I don't understand the negative hype because my experience was fantastic! First time being here and we decided to go into the lounge and get some seats. We sat down and were immediately helped by our waitress who immediately asked us for drinks and brought them promptly. She gave us some time to look through the menu and came back and said sorry for the wait. It was literally minutes and we assured to her we are easy going and no problem. We ordered food and it came so quick. We had multiple drinks, food, and watched the mariners game for some innings and got our check. Great prices! I was shocked! Lounge is awesome too! Disappointing Walked in two waitresses had there back turned to us and another couple no acknowledgement. One was cleaning the counter and the other gathering belongings about 5 mins later as we were talking one finally said hello! There was one family of 3 in the dining area and she was gathering up her kids no excuse why you aren't acknowledging customers! Absolutely blown away the entire 20mins we waited for our food the cook didn't have gloves on while making food. Touching the microwave, plates, scratching his face, off top of shelves, drank a Red Bull put that down and put his ungloved hands in the bag of buns grabbed two out and put them on a plate, etc this was absolutely disgusting to watch. Unsanitary on so many levels and I'm sure this wouldn't fly with health department on any level. Cook made a comment as the printer is producing more orders "come on guys I'm trying to get my current orders done". The food was packaged up and left behind you have got to think I'm nuts to watch your cook touch everything in the kitchen including his face and then go eat the food. So as soon as we got in we saw that we had to order from the menu on the screen upfront,once we did we had to ask twice where the drink menu is,they gave us a number that WE had to take to our own table,the food.. we haven't gotten our food yet but $8 for a blueberry lemonade?! Buzz Inn never fails when an early meet is required. I was meeting a friend in central Lake Stevens and the only place open was Buzz Inn. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Tabs were easily and accurately split. This location has a nice sized bar area with table service. Not all Buzz Inn's are created equally. My friend and I each started out with a Billy's Bloody Mary for $6.50. I appreciate that all the Buzz Inn's Bloody Mary's are made the same. Tasty. I'm not a breakfast person so I ordered the Turkey Club Sandwich for $10.99. I chose a salad for my side (free of charge) instead of the fries. This sandwich is one of my go-to menu choices. Usually this place is good, today was terrible! The portions of potatoes were disgusting and insulting! Asked the waitress about it and all she had to say was "that's all you get" with a smile! There was no gravy and they tasted horrible, my grandson said they tasted like real potatoes mixed with fake so had a "ashy" taste to them. Big chucks of potato, no flavor! Had to ask for gravy. Fish came with no tarter, had to ask for soup. Just so disappointing. After years of being the best they just do not seem to care about pleasing customers. Service was slow, but well intentioned and overall fine. I ordered a whiskey Wednesday Jack Daniel's, but was brought something called Hunter's. I could not get my burger cooked any less than well done. The food was really disappointing. Very bland and not what we expected, especially after eating at the Snohomish Ram. We were sat in an area that was dark and difficult to access the table. My kids really enjoyed their food (but Kraft is 5 stars for them). Pricing was okay, but too much for low quality food. update: This place is going down hill. The past two visits have been pretty bad. Last time my potatoes were basically raw. They left the steak and eggs with me, which I of course ate before the showed up with the potatoes 15min later. I was pretty much the only one there, so I don't understand why they took such a short cut on the potatoes. Then today, I ordered the corned beef hash and eggs. Which had alot of chewy black potatoes in it. I will never order corned beef hash again. All I can figure is the have new staff and cooks then then they did years ago. I'm feeling really cheated after last nights pick up order. First of all, I called back to back for 30 minutes & their phone was busy. I went as far as to contact the Marysville location to see if they could reach an employee to let them know their phone was off the hook. FIVE HUGE STARS for the gal that helped me out over there. She was so polite & went above & beyond what she is required to do! Thanks a ton! Alas, we finally had to drive down & place our order in person because they couldn't figure out how to hang up their phone properly. So much of our time wasted. I was craving a taste of home so I chose "The Bigfoot" chicken fried steak with country gravy. I figured if they went out of their way to name it, it must be good. Wrong. It's a frozen, breaded cube steak that you can pick up at Walmart ... a bag of 6 is about 5 bucks. I paid 14 dollars. It came with lumpy sausage gravy, NOT COUNTRY GRAVY, on the side. That was another huge fail. It literally had no taste whatsoever. My mashed potatoes were subpar & my salad was an absolute shit show. Overall, this particular meal gets one measly star only because I'm feeling generous. I should have listened to my husband when he suggested we just whip up a quick bowl of ramen at home. My overall rating for this place is a 3 because some of the other things we've tried are decent & the staff is usually friendly enough. Recently, we ordered 3 pancake breakfasts with coffee. The price was way too high for a couple of pancakes with 2 slices of bacon and eggs. They gave us large mugs, but did not refill the coffee, which is ok since it was week and awful. The price of $10.50 at the front counter was crossed out for the menu meal of 2 each: pancakes, bacon, eggs, with coffee for pancake breakfasts we order at the counter. After the fact, we realized that perhaps the reason why they did not show the NEW price for this breakfast is that it is a rip off. Insult to injury, the syrup tasted watered down and sweetened with fructose, I believe. Not good to an already poor breakfast. Why are places so expensive consistently cheep with condiments and drinks? The cost for the 3 breakfasts was in excess of almost $20.00 each. Holy Cr_ _! Will we be back? We been here multiple times and every time there is a problem . Today we sat down and ordered 10 mins before the people next to us. They got their food and ate before we received our food or salads. We decided to walk out and when passing the door we saw that our food wasn't even in the window. The waitress didn't even care or acknowledge that we were leaving when we told her to cancel our order 45 mins later. I never toss this around lightly but I feel heavily that my family and I are racially profiled and treated differently EVERYTIME i step through the door here. Buzz in sits in quaint Lake Stevens downtown area. Very near the lake shore. Staff here is always friendly and quick to serve. Restaurant has a fire place which was a wonderful surprise on an early rainy morning. Prices for breakfast was very reasonable compared to restaurants in the Seattle/Ballard area. Portions were generous as well. Waitress told us about the weekday special that was not on menu. This was an exceptional value and delicious. Our order came in minutes. I think when ever we are in the Lake Stevens area this will be our go to breakfast place, now I need to try dinner! read more

So I thought I'd place a to go order online and when I arrived I waited in line for 10 minutes (there was 1 person in front of me also being ignored) they didn't acknowledge just looked over at me looking annoyed. There was one girl who decided to talk about me and my friend behind our back thinking we couldn't hear after we kindly asked them to remake food that was made wrongly. The girl who remade our food was very sweet, but they have a very bashing community which is unfair to the people who come in to this restaurant. This used to be my favorite restaurant and now i've been treated like this and will not be going here ever again after all my family has gave them business for years. This is my first time at this buzz inn, I am writing this review as we sit here. Unfortunately at this buzz inn they make you order at the counter instead of at the table, so you pay before you get your food and also tip before then.. the staff in the back seemed to be arguing the entire time we waited. there was one waitress in particular that was really loud and bitchy with the cooks. she had glasses and was really passive aggressive and rude with the staff, she could have been the manager. at one point she was yelling at everyone to quote a 45 minute wait time when the restaurant was pretty dead. and then started yelling about the music in the kitchen being turned off. if this is your manager, you need a new one. for the sake of the employees and the customers lol.. read more

When my tri group and I were training for Lake Stevens Half Ironman, we always came here for post training food. They were very friendly and let us use the bathroom. It feels like a combination of a dive bar and a brunch place. The side of brunch seating is always packed when we were there on weekends. Most of the time, we sat by the dive bar side.
