    Liver and Onions
    Angie H.

Today Pattys egg nest took very good care of me! I have eaten the patties over on 128th before and ordered various things from Door Dash. This was my first time calling into the local one on Evergreen. When I called and I was asking for a liver and onions. A very nice young lady explained to me that they only serve them on Tuesday through Saturday after 3 PM as a dinner. She then proceeded to yell out to Paul the Chef in the back and ask him if he was willing to make me a meal. She said come on in. I came in and had one of the best meals I've had a really long time. This place has a really hometown feel. There's a bar right next-door but you can tell the people that come here come here every day. It felt like coming to moms house and getting some delicious cooked food that just really brightened your day and reminded you that there's good people in the world. I feel lucky to have came across these wonderful souls today. I needed this & a wonderful meal. I know I sound corny but I really genuinely mean this.

Turky sandwich, family ordered to go, after family finished their sit down meal. Only enough turky to cover half of each slice.

Most Saturdays my hubby and kids go out to Breakfast. As I am disabled the order me something to go. I have had good food in the past. Today they had good food. Hubby enjoyed his Fish n (Onion Rings) I asked for a turky sandwich with white meat, without tomato, and potato salad as my side. When I opened the box, I could tell just by looking the bread was stale around the edges and overloaded with lettuce. I open the sandwich to remove some lettuce and was shocked to find so little turky only half a sandwich could be made. Utterly disappointed. No time or care was spent preparing this order. Especially when hubby said they were not busy. I have a photo not sure how to post it.

    "Medium rare" steak.

I ordered the rib eye steak and eggs and it may be one of the worst I've had. I ordered my eggs over medium and they came over hard. I ordered my steak medium rare and got well done. My toast however was not toasted. I'm all for trying to support local businesses now especially but I'd like to at least get what I ordered.

8oz top sirloin breakfast offered as an upgrade. YUMMO.

Like forever the Biscuits are light and tasty. Strawberry freezer jam on top to keep them from floating off the plate by themselves. Had the Top Sirloin 8oz steak with the perfectly cooked hash browned potatoes ,I added 3 cooked correctly poached eggs on top. Wow, just like pre covid19 food. The server Jodi was happily singing along with the music. We had forgotten about Patty's Eggnest at the Chuck Wagon Inn. A fun and old fashioned place to enjoy your mealtime experiance. Lady Lorilei enjoyed the Red ,White, and Blue Waffle covered in fruit of the same colors. Then it was smothered with Devonshire Cream. I snitched her two jumbo Rashers of thick cut Peppered Bacon. After a long hiatus we will be back as regular patrons. Go here for old fashioned diner delights.

(gotta climb in the Wayback Machine for that gem!) I loved that I saw at least six versions of my childhood dining room table, which felt so nostalgically comfortable that I wanted to crawl under one with my coloring books and my chocolate milk. But I digress -- you're supposed to be reading my review. I decided that I was in the mood for grilled cheese and tomato soup, so that's what I ordered. The tomato soup is really amazing -- so fresh tasting and delicious. But the sandwich was next level nom-ness. I opted to get it on sourdough because it's the best for dunking into the soup. It definitely worked on me - usually specials are relegated to a small corner of the menu, but here they are front and center. I couldn't resist and so I got the Pot Roast Dip. It's a sandwich that has a good amount of pot roast, some bacon jam that's glued together with provolone and Swiss cheese all on a Giuseppe roll (From Macrina Bakery? It's a crust roll). The bacon jam and sandwich dressing makes the sandwich really sweet, but the Angus sauce is very salty, and so when the sandwich is dipped it all balances out interestingly enough. It was good to try, but I think I'll order something else next time. I also got a Mocha latte- very smooth and delicious. I would get this again! Their bathrooms are shared with the rest of the building - the code is at the cashiers. The wifi password is right next to it too. You grab a menu, wait in line to order, and then they bring your food to you. Bus your own table when you're done. Solid spot.

The poor server was solo and slammed, but she did get some help partway through. They've got a good selection of beer on tap, but I thought the cocktails were overpriced--nothing really stood out. I'd rather spend $16 on a craft cocktail at Colby Club. The food wasn't great. We got the calamari and it was bad--cold and honestly just bland. We also ordered the beer-battered halibut. It was okay, but a bit overcooked, and it came with fries... maybe 25 total for a 3-piece fish plate. Our bill was around $65 for two beers (with the $2 off Thursday special), the calamari, and the 3-piece halibut. Just overpriced for what it was. The place itself is cute, and they had acoustic music going, which was nice. The staff was friendly and really hustling with how busy it was. Overall, though, I didn't feel like it was worth it and probably wouldn't go back. I wish we could do .5 stars. I struggled between 2 & 3. I ended with 3 for the venue, live music (she was really good) and the awesome staff.

Ordered the same thing for the kids, and the same burger for both adults - one as a meal and one just the burger. 20 mins go by and it turns out our ticket just got .. lost? So we waited with two hungry kids for 20 mins before they even started making our food. Food comes, and my burger is wrong. I go up, tell them, and walk away thinking they were going to fix it. Another 10 mins and someone comes to our table asking if we were still wanting the burger we actually ordered and that we need to pay a dollar something for it. At this point, it's been 35 mins since we ordered and I still don't have the burger I asked for in front of me. The person "helping" us argued that nothing was their fault, they must have read the order back and I didn't correct them (we order two of the same burgers!) so I'd need to pay (not the issue, it's like $1) and wait some more for the right burger. I gave up and ate my by-thay-point cold burger. Honestly, this could have been so easily fixed. We were fine with our order being forgotten and I would have happily exchanged the burger I got for the one I ordered. There wasn't even an attempt to make up for the forgotten meal - instead they made it worse.
