Love this place! Great Service! Great food! Must go! Wish I lived closer I'd be a regular.

Had breakfast here and it was pretty good! Even though they seemed short-staffed, the service was still excellent ,friendly, attentive, and efficient. I got my food on time, and the staff checked in on us regularly. The food is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for the quality and overall experience. I'll definitely be coming back!

Hobo scramble (special - bottom), triple fruit French toast (half order- middle) and migas breakfast (top)

Came here for Sunday breakfast/brunch! It was PACKED! We had to wait about 45 minutes. They text you when your table is ready. We were told about 25-30 minute wait. The bar stools at the front of the restaurant is a first come/first serve but the booths and dining hall, you have to wait patiently for seating :) We got a table next to fireplace. It was perfect! Our server, Alex was fantastic and kind! He was super accommodating and friendly. He mentioned their special, the "hobo" scramble and that is exactly what I got! Instead of hashbrowns with the scramble, it had red potatoes! It also had 2 kinds of bell peppers, green and red and topped with cheese, green onions and sour cream. It has a choice of pancakes or toast as a side and settled with sourdough toast! I got a half order of the triple fruit French toast! It was perfect, topped with blueberries and strawberries although it was missing the third fruit of sliced bananas. We decided to let it slide as it wasn't a big deal but hence, triple fruit French toast. Topped with also whipped cream, there's a side of maple syrup and butter. My bf got the Migas! Good salsa/sauce on top and it was pretty good. Coffee is great and staff is always making rounds to make sure things are good! Worth the wait ;)

We came here around 12:15 PM on a Wednesday. The staff were very friendly, patient, and helpful. The restaurant was clean and spacious, with a relaxed and enjoyable vibe. The food was delicious and a great value! A perfect spot for brunch! Parking was easy thanks to the on-site lot.

A good spot for breakfast or lunch. Service is fast and food doesn't take that long to come out. The wait time to get a table is a hit or miss depending on how many people and what time you show up. For a group of 8, it took 40 mins until we got seated on a Saturday morning. Would recommend anything on the menu. My go to entree is the Popeyes omelet. The chicken fried steak is also another fan favorite. For lunch, I've gotten the grilled chicken club sandwich with crinkle fries.

    Fresh Berry Waffles - delicious!!

Excellent breakfast with huge portions. Our party of 5 adults were squeezed into a booth and although we barely had enough elbow room, we happily ate our hearty meals. My favorite breakfast items to order is waffles with berries and lots of whipped cream, and the same version but with French toast. They offered both. I asked the waitress which one she would recommend, and she said hands down the waffles. I ordered the Triple Berry Waffle and it was impressive. The waffle was crunchy and airy, the berries were a little tart (i like tart) and the load of whipped cream was so satisfying. Great last breakfast as my PNW mini vacay came to an end.

    Juevos Rancheros!

The Speedway Cafe is one of seven restaurants owned by the same lady, including Saw Mill in Mill Creek. Nothing but good things to say though. Very clean, nautically themed interior with wooden plaques of different areas & islands in WA. I had the Juevos Rancheros. They were excellent. My server was great too. More of the menu in my future!

    Free refill coffee

Food and service were both good. Ordered scrambled soprano omelette with pancakes(4) and strawberry rhubarb French toast(3). The waitress offered to split the omelette in two in the kitchen which is rare, we appreciated that extra effort.

I have visited several locations of this restaurant in Redmond, Sammamish, and Mukilteo, and I appreciate what they have to offer for vegetarians. We had a side of onion rings, a veggie grilled hash, and a berry waffle. The portions are large enough for two people to share with ease. I particularly enjoy how crunchy and thin the waffles are. In addition, I like the veggie hash, which contains bell peppers, zucchini, carrots, yellow squash, and potatoes. This somewhat evens out the meal. They provide limitless drip coffee. Ample of parking, good & fast service, vibe is like in a diner.

My wife and I went here for breakfast this morning. When you walk in there is a small cafe/diner style bar. Turn left and you walk into a cozy dining area. Turn right and there is a neat little fireplace with more of the dining area. With lots of booths and cool decor, this is a very cozy place. I got the California Omelette which was $18.95. Coffee and coke were $3.95 each. The omelette was delicious and worthy of 5 stars. The service was great, Melissa was kind and professional. Bathrooms were clean. My wife who ordered crepes came with a hair sticking out from underneath it. But don't be critical of this establishment!!! I have had that happen to me before at Panda Express and one other place in the past 20 years. It occasionally happens at food establishments. Accidents happen and because my wife and I have both worked in the food industry, we were both understanding. We informed our server Melissa, she immediately apologized and took the meal back for a new one. My wife found it before she had her first bite, so it was obvious we weren't one of those rare people who put hair in the food for a free meal after eating most of it. (those people do exist!) Because they quickly replaced her strawberry rhubarb crepes with a new one, we didn't expect anything more. But Melissa decided to take it off our bill. And that is why they get 5 stars. Accidents happen, be kind and forgiving about it, and watch that positive energy be reciprocated. Excellent food, excellent service, nice decor, no wonder why the family who owns it has other locations under a different name. We will be back for sure! Thank You Melissa! NOTE: We did not put a picture of the Crepes with the hair. This place does not deserve to have a photo on their google/yelp page of that. Accidents happen people.

We had a MARVELOUS experience!…read more My bf, his mom and myself passed by this place on a couple of walks. I've also marked it as a place to visit. It is part of the Staybridge Suite hotels here and this hotel in general, is always packed! We finally know why! The hotel inside is beautiful -- woodwork and a cozy ambience! The 5 x 5 bar & bistro is new. What it was before was an old theater. Matthew was a one-man show with two ladies helping him with carrying the done orders to the tables. It was actually quiet on a Wednesday when we had went. Only 3 tables occupied. We missed happy hour and settled on the regular menu. I had the chicken tenders (4-pc) with lemon pepper seasoning (oh my -- this was delicious!) along with sweet potato waffle fries. I also got the hummus plate -- fresh veggies and the hummus had feta cheese and olive oil too, yummy! My bf had the pepperoni pizza with cheddar cheese and topped with green onions. I had a taste of it and it was pretty good! My bf's mom had the fish burger with a side salad. Matthew was so kind and made a mental note of the orders. He even remembered my bf's mom saying 'no cheese' and he doubled checked with her after looking at the fish burger. Real nice guy and his service with the ladies was warm and delightful! They're forming an events room hall that will be done soon that used to be a pool area (so yes, no swimming pool anymore). They also have a nice patio area with long chairs and a nice mini bar/grills in the middle. I also had a limoncello cooler and my bf's mom has red wine too. We'd come back again!

In short Great deals on great drinks, food is really solid,…read moreand the setting is nice and friendly. Only drawback is that the hours are limited. In long Lately we've been seeking out places that are literally quieter--less volume on the music, more space between the tables, and so on. I'd been wanting to check out 5x5, anyway, since it's the only spot around with an exactly perfect rating score. It looked like it'd fit the bill for a low-key place, and off we went. We came in shortly after they opened on a Saturday (4:00 PM). You're in a larger business-traveler hotel here, aimed at Boeing and Boeing-sub folks traveling for work. The building looks kinda generic from outside, but there's plenty of parking, and the lobby has a high-ceilinged atrium vibe for sure. Nice floor tiles, nice carpet, tasteful furniture. Everything's in perfect shape. You don't feel the lounge vibe right away, but there's a gigantic fireplace ahead of you, warming both sides of the room from the middle. Around that, there are lots of sturdy, shiny tables under the lofty ceilings. Off to the side, there's a little lounge area, then another one. Everything in the lounge is bar-height seating, and there are a few flatscreens, probably showing the game. Most folks are in here, sitting around the bar in the middle of the room. We posted up at a table just outside the lounge. Lindsey was behind the bar, and cheerfully answered every single question we had about food and all their cocktails. She's super friendly and makes a great drink for sure. She seems to have a bunch of regulars who aren't staying at the hotel, which is a great sign, no doubt. We checked out the warm pretzel--such a decadent treat. The waffle fries (and especially the aioli that came with them) were awesome. The pizza was a great choice; we added pickled onions to the Speedway. The crust could be a little crisper but we took home what we didn't finish and it's great here, too. Service on food and drinks was really quick. The cocktails here can be really creative, and there are lots of classics with house twists on the recipe. They even have a pisco sour they've tweaked--that's a fair bit of work for a bartender to make mid-shift. We got 5 great drinks and 3 nice plates of food for $96, and I don't think we even ordered anything from the HH menu. This is a very easy place to add to the rotation.

[4/5] Food We got crab rangoons to start - I don't think I would get them again as the outer shell wasn't my thing (maybe the type of wrapper they used?) I got the chicken pho and my husband got the pho dac biet. We both enjoyed our meal - the bean sprouts and greens were fresh. Broth tasted very clean - we didn't find it too salty. We paid $49 before tip. A bit on the higher end price wise for pho. [4/5] Location/Parking Located in a small plaza right next to Grocery Outlet. In a small plaza by Highway 99. Adequate parking.

I actually don't like pho all too much (compared to other Viet soups) so I got the bun cha gio thit nuong. The vegetables were fresh, the thit nuong was sweet and salty with a nice chew, and the cha gio was crunchy with good filling. I'd love a version with some meat but I can appreciate being vegetarian friendly. Pan Fried Pork Bao - sadly no soup in this pan fried bao. I think there was too much bread because everything was very doughy while the actual pork was tiny in comparison. If there was more meat then maybe the extra large dough would be okay. On the bright side I guess this is a filling item with the carbs. Xiaolongbao - Unfortunately, 2 out of 8 XLB were ripped and the soup spilled in the steamer. Those ones were extremely sad and disappointing. However, even the remaining 6 XLB didn't have that much soup. I would skip the XLB here which sucks because the place literally has bao in the name. This is what we ordered: Oreo Milk Shake The Oreo milkshake was rich, creamy, and delicious with a generous amount of whip cream on top! Honestly, they both tasted kind of the same despite the different preparation of the meat. Both dishes were not the worst but not the best. 5 Stars (for Mark) I…read morefound Rare Society on TikTok and made the drive up from Bellevue with my girlfriend, curious to see if this place lived up to its upscale steakhouse reputation. The short answer ..it's complicated but one person made all the difference. When we got there about 30 minutes early, we were told we could sit in the lounge and still receive full service, which was a nice touch. That said, there was no one at the front to greet us for a minute or two upon arrival. Small thing, but when a restaurant markets itself as a high-end experience, that first moment matters. We got seated quickly and then came Mark. He wasn't dressed like a server, so I honestly wasn't sure who he was at first, but his level of attentiveness made it immediately clear this was someone who genuinely cares about the guest experience. He explained that he was supporting our actual waiter, who was also covering bartending duties that evening. Whether that's a staffing concern or just how the night unfolded, I'll leave that to management to reflect on. What I won't leave unacknowledged is this..Mark was extraordinary! He knew the menu inside and out, kept our water filled, checked on us consistently, and made us feel genuinely welcomed, not just served. He even took the time to ask for our names. He spoke highly of our waiter throughout the entire evening, which says a lot about his character. My girlfriend and I were both floored. I'd take someone in a hoodie with Mark's warmth and knowledge over a perfectly dressed server going through the motions any day. The entire experience was held up by Mark. The entire time all the way to the end. It seems like Mark was required to relay all orders to our server. Ultimately our actual server simply delivered only the desert and checked if it was good. When my water glass was empty during dessert, it went unnoticed by him. Mark caught it. Of course he did. This isn't about entitlement. This is about living up to the competition and high end standard Food was Fantastic. Compliments to the chef The Surcharge, Worth Mentioning The receipt included a 4% surcharge described as covering competitive industry compensation, including health benefits for valued full-time employees. I respect transparency around labor costs. But here's the question worth sitting with: if this charge genuinely covers employee health benefits, why is it removable on request? A real operational cost doesn't disappear because a guest felt uncomfortable asking. It starts to feel less like a principled stance and more like a pricing strategy dressed in goodwill language. Five stars and they belong entirely to Mark. He is the standard this restaurant should be measuring itself against.
