Went here for breakfast while we were in the area. I had choose between the avocado toast and the huevos rancheros. My wife wanted a lighter breakfast so went with the continental breakfast which came with eggs to order, banana bread, and fruit. The huevos rancheros was very tasty! It's definitely something that I would order again, although I would still like to try the avocado toast as well. At many other tables, I could see traditional breakfast fare such as french toast or pancakes that also looked tasty. My wife gave me a taste of the banana bread and it was delicious! Thick cut like texas toast, and much less dense than homemade banana bread that I am used to. Alas, the server said they might discontinue it, and that they didn't have a recipe but probably ordered it. Shame, now I must find this delicious banana bread! Service 5 stars. Food 2 stars. I really wanted to like this place, my daughter has cello lessons a few minutes away and we hoped it would be our mini date spot. I got a steak and eggs, and it was so disappointing, texture felt like I was chewing on a piece of leather, for $21 it was not worth it at all and honestly I doubt my steak was 6oz. Food: I ordered the triple berry French toast with bacon and eggs, and my boyfriend ordered the breakfast burrito with hashbrowns. All of the food was very good. The full order of French toast was quite large, so my boyfriend ate a good portion of it. Service: friendly and far too slow. We didn't have to wait too long to be seated at 9:30 on a Sunday morning, but once we were, everything from ordering, to food arriving, to paying the check was painfully slow. From what we could observe, the cafe has too much seating and not enough staff. Ambiance: clean with nice lighting and comfortable seating. My boyfriend didn't care for the paintings, but I didn't care one way or the other. He left the restaurant with a full bladder, thanks to a two stall men's room with no urinals. Came here for Sunday breakfast/brunch! It was PACKED! We had to wait about 45 minutes. They text you when your table is ready. We were told about 25-30 minute wait. The bar stools at the front of the restaurant is a first come/first serve but the booths and dining hall, you have to wait patiently for seating :) We got a table next to fireplace. It was perfect! Our server, Alex was fantastic and kind! He was super accommodating and friendly. He mentioned their special, the "hobo" scramble and that is exactly what I got! Instead of hashbrowns with the scramble, it had red potatoes! It also had 2 kinds of bell peppers, green and red and topped with cheese, green onions and sour cream. It has a choice of pancakes or toast as a side and settled with sourdough toast! I got a half order of the triple fruit French toast! It was perfect, topped with blueberries and strawberries although it was missing the third fruit of sliced bananas. We decided to let it slide as it wasn't a big deal but hence, triple fruit French toast. Topped with also whipped cream, there's a side of maple syrup and butter. My bf got the Migas! It's hard to go wrong with classic diner food, and that's what this place does - and does well! I love their Reuben, and the club sandwich is a winner. The bacon cheddar potato pancakes are great. I definitely recommend the Sidewinder Fries, which are better than any regular curly fry. read more

Excellent breakfast with huge portions. Our party of 5 adults were squeezed into a booth and although we barely had enough elbow room, we happily ate our hearty meals. My favorite breakfast items to order is waffles with berries and lots of whipped cream, and the same version but with French toast. They offered both. I asked the waitress which one she would recommend, and she said hands down the waffles. I ordered the Triple Berry Waffle and it was impressive. The waffle was crunchy and airy, the berries were a little tart (i like tart) and the load of whipped cream was so satisfying. Great last breakfast as my PNW mini vacay came to an end. read more

I have visited several locations of this restaurant in Redmond, Sammamish, and Mukilteo, and I appreciate what they have to offer for vegetarians. We had a side of onion rings, a veggie grilled hash, and a berry waffle. The portions are large enough for two people to share with ease. I particularly enjoy how crunchy and thin the waffles are. In addition, I like the veggie hash, which contains bell peppers, zucchini, carrots, yellow squash, and potatoes. This somewhat evens out the meal. They provide limitless drip coffee. My wife and I went here for breakfast this morning. When you walk in there is a small cafe/diner style bar. Turn left and you walk into a cozy dining area. Turn right and there is a neat little fireplace with more of the dining area. With lots of booths and cool decor, this is a very cozy place. I got the California Omelette which was $18.95. Coffee and coke were $3.95 each. The omelette was delicious and worthy of 5 stars. The service was great, Melissa was kind and professional. Bathrooms were clean. My wife who ordered crepes came with a hair sticking out from underneath it. But don't be critical of this establishment!!! I have had that happen to me before at Panda Express and one other place in the past 20 years. It occasionally happens at food establishments. Accidents happen and because my wife and I have both worked in the food industry, we were both understanding. We informed our server Melissa, she immediately apologized and took the meal back for a new one. My wife found it before she had her first bite, so it was obvious we weren't one of those rare people who put hair in the food for a free meal after eating most of it. (those people do exist!) Because they quickly replaced her strawberry rhubarb crepes with a new one, we didn't expect anything more. But Melissa decided to take it off our bill. And that is why they get 5 stars. Accidents happen, be kind and forgiving about it, and watch that positive energy be reciprocated. Best pie I've probably ever had. Not only the filling, but the crust is awesome. Breakfast is great. Definitely recommend.

My first time visiting here for breakfast. Food was top notch. I had the corned beef hash and biscuit and gravy. Good portions, well cooked and delicious. My husband had the quesadillas and he enjoyed them. The restaurant was surprisingly crowded for a Tuesday morning so it was a bit noisier than we would have liked. Service was good but we had to ask for coffee a couple of times and didn't get it until the end of the meal so that was a bummer. Price is on par with other sites down breakfast places. Since everything was delicious, it was worth it. I would return and recommend this place. read more

The tale of bad food and food poisoning! Took my daughter to the airport. On my way back to home I stopped and had breakfast. In stead of toast, I got a biscuit and a side of gravy. The gravy was lukewarm. The biscuit was actually a dinner roll. It had been reheated and the bottom was hard as a rock. I waited for a new one and they never came back until the was finished. They comped the breakfast. Unfortunately, on the way home (Whidbey Island) I started burping sulfur. It continued throughout the day. By late evening I became very ill with food poisoning. Had breakfast here for the 1st time and it was really good! A bonus was getting to sit by the fireplace, as it was pretty cool elsewhere. I had the Bacon Potato Pancake - it was monstrous! I put over easy eggs on top, and probably ate too much, even though I took a large amount home. Flavor and texture were good, though some bacon was really chewy, I especially liked the chopped scallions. My husband had the Pulled Pork Burrito, and he raved about it! Also took 1/2 home. Went on Tuesday morning, place was packed so had to wait around 15 minutes, well worth the wait. Staff is super friendly and place is very clean and cozy. My server was very kind and checked on regularly. They won't let your coffee run out. It was busy so had to wait for my food but food came out hot and fresh. Reasonably priced and good size portions. This place is terrific. They close early so get there early. They have wonderful breakfast lunch and dinner menu. They have wonderful fish and chips or if you're there for breakfast, their eggs, hashbrowns and cinnamon rolls are terrific. I even love pancakes. There's a little secret to this restaurant, if they're packed eat at the bar, the staff are wonderful and have been there forever. The cooks are great and the manager is absolutely darling. Come visit this café. It'll be worth your time and effort. Their prices are a little steep, but they're worth it because their food is absolutely tasty They even have great parking.
