She loved the avocado toast, and the buttermilk biscuit was amazingly moist and flavorful. My breve was packed full of coffee flavor notes complemented by the breve-ness. Great coffee and kind baristas. The coffee beans and the way they make it here are phenomenal. The space is large and bustling. We got a filter coffee (Kenya beans) and the banana matcha. The matcha was not really matcha forward but the banana flavor was smooth and delicious. Will get the coffee again. This cafe is so nice! It's open and airy but also cozy. The service was excellent, they brought my food and drink to me! To drink, I had the iced cappuccino. It was creamy, foamy, and delicious. To eat, I had the Heirloom Benedict with bacon. YUM!! The biscuit (instead of an English muffin) was flaky, soft, and warm. The hollandaise was rich and flavorful. The egg was perfectly cooked and the avocado added a fresh touch. The heirloom tomato was juicy and a great addition to the Benedict. Finally, the bacon was crispy; I definitely recommend adding it. This place is the best!! I've been here a few times now and I always get the same order - breakfast burrito with avocado and London fog tea or their seasonal coffee beverages. I've been wanting to try their chocolate chip cookie but it's never ready when I've gone. Their burrito is delicious though, it's packed and super filling, not to mention the sauces are the best part! I wish they gave a little more as I end up finishing the sauces before the burrito is done because they're sooo tasty with the burrito. I also wish they had other meat options other than bacon. They don't have chicken add ins but other than that it's a great place! I've also had their biscuit and jam, but that's just ok. I wouldn't get it again. It's not that tasty or memorable. I wanted to offer some feedback based on my experience. This is not about the quality of the product -- the coffee and food are good, and I'd say they're among the better options in the Everett area. That said, a good product doesn't automatically equal a good experience. The café itself is nicely designed, but the customer experience falls short, largely due to a combination of weak service and a confusing ordering/hand-off system -- and the service attitude tends to amplify those issues. A few specific points: * There are no prices listed for retail items. * There is no clear pour-over menu. * Customers are not told where or how orders will be handed off. * There doesn't appear to be a consistent order-labeling system. Mobile orders seem to get a name on a sticky note, but individual drinks and food items are not labeled. This creates a confusing hand-off area. * When orders are called, customers are left to guess which items are theirs. This led to a frustrating situation. A mobile order had a name similar to my husband's (his name is often misheard), so we asked for clarification at hand-off -- which seems reasonable given the lack of labeling. One drink had a name on a sticky note, but the food (which we were still waiting on while the rest of our order was completed) was sitting separately with no label at all. Naturally, we assumed it was ours. It turned out the food belonged to the mobile order -- something there was no way for us to know. When we asked for clarification, the barista responded in a snappy and condescending way, explaining it as if we were doing something wrong rather than acknowledging that the system itself is unclear. A little customer service and basic clarification would have gone a long way. However, and I'd like to share my feedback on my experiences. - The food is decent, though it's often prepared for presentation rather than taste. It frequently arrives cold. - The coffee and tea are overpriced and tastes mediocre. - for instance, I paid $8 for a 4-ounce mix of espresso and orange juice that made my stomach hurt. - I also paid nearly $7 for the "peach blossom tea" and ended up getting 3/4 cup of ice, packet tea, and sweetener in a cup. - I've tried nearly everything on the drink menu and nothing is 'great' - The wait time for an order is incredibly long, and the employees are often distracted and preoccupied with other tasks, making it difficult to get my order taken. While mocha looked amazing and frothed perfectly it was sour - like extremely sour. We've tried twice on different days and it tasted sour. Couldn't feel the chocolate because of that sourness.
