We were visiting the Fresh Paint Art Festival in Everett when I spotted Café Wylde, a vegan, 'earthy and granola' type of restaurants. I don't know why, but I was surprised to see this amazing eatery here. The menu has beautiful fresh produce centric appetizers, entrees, salads, and more. I wasn't hungry but wanted to buy a drink anyway. The staff was busy making food and serving another family. The staff appears to be multi-functioned covering the back and the front. One of them handed us menus. The inside is modest-sized, well filled with tables and chairs. There are some seats outside, too. The Drink: Wylde Berry Smoothie, $12 - 4.5 Stars Menu: Wild blueberries, marionberries, raspberries, blackberries, banana, agave Noted as having 'Tons of antioxidants and fresh flavors', this is one of the best smoothies in recent memory. It is thick with tons and tons of berries. I don't think I need the agave since the banana gives it the sweetness. Regardless, this drink was amazing. $12 seems like a lot, but considering what it has, I think it is a fair price. I am giving it 4 stars for now. I was in the area and couldn't wait to rush out to Cafe Wylde to try their new burger special. Turns out, I was the first patron to get the chance to try ... woot woot, but I'm damn sure I won't be the last.... It comes with an amazing side salad (this was a salad .. Side A, not Side B, definitely more than a "side" salad). Delicious fresh greens and that dressing, so creamy and dare I say, should I, yeah...imma say it ...dreamy :) The burger was top notch, melty cheese, thick juicy bite, awesome sauce to bring all the components together, this sandwich had a lot to it! I'm a fan of Lion's Mane so no way I was passing up the opportunity to try their Lion's Mane smoothie. Last, the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake, I think it's a gift straight from the cheesecake gods (and goddesses) themselves because eating this will elevate your spirits and your day! read more

My friend moved to downtown Everett last year and is still exploring the area. She told me about the vegan joint nearby that she hadn't been to yet. We're both omnivores who eat a fair amount of plant-based fare for health reasons (I have allergies and intolerances, she's heeding doctor's advice). To be clear, this is a cafe, not a full blown restaurant. They serve luncheon fare, but it's a small operation so be either patient to don't bother - especially if there's a line. It's counter ordering with payment expected in advance. The tables closest to the window are a *little* harrowing because of the ADA ramp that leads to the door: the closest chairs can teeter down the ramp if the chairs are pushed back too far. Be careful. There are huge, regular, and small tables available. The biggest table is a little tricky to navigate for folks who want to sit in the booth side, but once seated it's quite lovely. I ordered the Pesto Pasta (involving zoodles: zucchini noodles) and a Sun Juice. My friend ordered the Grilled Cheese and Bisque. Please note: it's worth looking around this place while waiting for your food. You can conceivably get your own water, napkins and cutlery if you walk far enough along the counter towards the back of the restaurant. Back there, you may also notice a single-occupancy restroom and bins for bussing your own dishes. The Sun Juice arrived first, freshly blended, and was delicious. If that's what their juice is like, I look forward to exploring their smoothie offerings. My pasta arrived looking BEAUTIFUL on a bed of spinach, and smelled just as good. It tasted a teensy bit more of salt than I would've liked, but then I speared a sun dried tomato with my next bite and remembered that I'm not a food critic, just a happy customer. Although I'm not generally a fan of zoodles, they seemed to have the art of cooking them down pat: they didn't distract from the pesto at all. The bisque had an artful design of (coconut? cashew?) cream on top. My friend was delighted to note that it was a bit of spice to it: nothing challenging, but just enough for her to find comforting. Given the light and airy look of the inside and the rather rustic / flower-child look of the outside, she was not expecting that surprise. She was so impressed with the grilled cheese sandwich that she offered me a bite: we were both quite impressed with the "cheese" they used, as the item was listed as vegan on the menu. My friend kept whining that she's doomed, as they're close to where she lives *and* they deliver. Oh, yeah - poor her, indeed. Alas, alack, and so on. read more

Came after seeing good reviews about their vegan food only to be highly disappointed. - Wydle berry; taste great, cant go wrong with smoothies - Bukhara tacos; their Korean bbq jackfruit filling was delicious, but the corn tortilla were cold, crackled, fell apart after the first bite - Pesto pasta; they ran out of spinach but said it was mainly for presentation. There were only 4 small pieces of oyster mushroom and a huge chunk of wet, undercooked zucchini noodles - Tostada cracker; They ran out of salsa verde but sub extra avocados. There was no crisp, not even cracker, just stale and chewy. When informed the staff about this, she said it was because they used the oven and it is suppose to break apart. Told her how it is chewy regardless. She offered to remake it but we just got more tortilla to transfer the simple bean filling We came for a late Sunday lunch and were the only people inside. Couple tables were not cleaned well and there was a wet toilet paper in the bathroom seat. Would recommend to just order drinks to go if you are to visit here read more

If you are in Everett, GO HERE! Even if you are not vegan, you will likely enjoy so many things on the menu. To me, if a vegan place can appeal to non-vegans, vegetarian or meat eaters, they are successful! I ordered the Asian inspired tacos, and a smoothie and everything was excellent. Because their items are organic and locally sourced, of course there will be a higher price tag. The two items were about $30, which I will admit was a little bit high, but I was on vacation and definitely craving healthier food. To me, it was 100% worth it. The staff was incredibly sweet and patient with me. I was very indecisive, and she was willing to walk through about half of the menu with me and tell me pros and cons. I enjoyed my food so much and I wanted to go back a second time but we ran out of time on our stay here. I do not remember her name, but one of the staff noticed that I had been sitting there for a couple hours with one taco last. I was doing work and very distracted by it, and she actually offered to warm up my taco and give me a new tortilla. Because they do not use microwaves here, she offered to reheat everything. Lived a block away from this place for over 2 years and never went here. It just was never on my radar but after switching to vegan it has become a staple now. I'm lucky to have such a delicious cafe near my home. Better yet I don't have to worry about non vegan issues. I always feel like a bougie Karen asking for vegan options at any other restaurant lol. They serve organic plant-based and definitely vegan/ vegetarian food. Their smoothies are high quality so running between $8-$9. I went here simply out of closest place to get a coffee. With any sense of planning, I would meet friends at The Narrative Coffee Shop. That is warm and inviting. It is organized and well established. Oddly, the cafe was out of all milks and it was coconut milk or bust. I bet Narrative doesn't run out of milk. If they do I am sure they compensate patrons in some way. This is rather inexcusable in a cafe that appears to survive on coffee. With two Cafe Wylde baristas inside--one completely ignored my existence and the other, a guy who was was cool, attentive, and hard working--why isn't the idle one running to or back from a g store w/ a half gallon of skim and 2%. To be fair, I don't usually go with coco milk. But yet, regardless, the drink wasn't very hot and it wasn't blended well. I couldn't taste the chocolate or syrups. I think it would have been fair to sell me the drink without the coco milk up-charge. After the tip--generous, I add--I realized this was nearly $10.00. The not too long ago $5, now Sbux $7+ grandes, seem like a deal. These, I wish they were only details, just may be the main reason why I was the only client there when ordering. Cafe Wylde is a bit randomly wild in its identity too. I can tolerate satisfactory coffee if the establishment is comfy and cozy. It could use an interior designer or someone who is willing obsessed with HDTV. The front with its concrete floors and gray counter reminded me of one of little poor Vietnamese houses in Hanoi that double as a store front. An orphaned display case with unorganized fruit that looked old and bruised. Then it has a bit of an eloquent spiral staircase that assessed to a small random Juliet balcony. I think they're trying. I have been wanting to try this place for months, but something has always come up. I was finally able to come in for dinner and I really wish I hadn't. We arrived at about 4:45 pm on Sunday night and the place was empty except for a table of two. The interior looked clean but wasn't super warm or inviting, just some wobbly tables and chairs. The guy at the counter wasn't super friendly, but undeterred we grabbed menus and sat down to look through our options. The menu was full of enticing options so we ended up ordering a variety of dishes and two drinks. No sooner had we arrived, other customers came in and it became pretty busy. It appeared there were only two guys working and they were hustling to take care of everyone. First, we received our avocado dip served inside an avocado shell with some crackers. The dip was a warm and creamy treat, but I did find some black hairs around the shell on the plate. Our drinks arrived next. One was a matcha, which was poorly made and full of clumps at the bottom and the other was their sesame smoothie, which was pretty good. Our four entrees arrived: the jackfruit burrito, bukhan tacos, pesto pasta, and the special, which was a pesto sandwich. The jackfruit burrito was fine but wasn't very full. The pesto sandwich was pesto spread on ciabatta bread with veggies as the filling. Again, there was very little filing, but it was a good sandwich. With the burrito and sandwich, it felt like they were running out of ingredients since it was coming to the end of the day, so they just used what they had even if it wasn't full. I had the bukhan tacos, which were packed with jackfruit and pickled veggies. I ate one and it was delicious, however, the second and third tacos also had hairs so I tossed them both. The pasta was a tiny portion served on a very large bed of spinach. It was a wonderful looking presentation. The one bite I did take was delicious, but I found more hairs and ended up tossing this dish as well. I know others have had great experiences here, but we did not, which is too bad. There aren't too many vegan options and I was looking forward to adding another place to our list. read more

This was a delightful, accidental vegan find as we happened to have an appointment just down the road. What a joy! At opening there were many patrons already settled, and the only server was busy juggling a lot of orders as well as preparing dishes and doing remarkably well! We certainly cannot whine about anything - after all we love supporting small businesses (this is not a factory/chain and hooray to that!). Everything we ate was delicious. The only thing I would support is not serving drinks in single-use cups for those staying put. Mind you, the choice was there (ceramic cups for coffee). We wish this little gem great success! It had been quite some time since I had been last in to this small, completely vegan cafe and was in the area so I popped in for a chilled slice of cheesecake and beverage... needless to say I was disappointed. The Sun Juice tasted good and was as I remembered it being, but it would have been nice if it was a bit colder. The cheesecake was very firm (like a heavy hand was used measuring out the cocoa butter) and didn't have much flavor other than the plain cocoa butter taste, and what little orange could be detected in the top flavor tasted much more like bitter orange peel rather than a robust orange (I think it's supposed to be a raw cheesecake, but reduced orange juice or an extract would have helped immensely). Before tip my two-item order came to $19.59, and I didn't even finish the cheesecake due to it's strange flavorlessness. Ordering is now done only at the counter, they seemed understaffed and the employee was having to make customers wait on the phone, and order in-shop (therefore he wasn't able to actually engage with anyone, making him seem almost robotic) and the upstairs loft seating is now permanently closed. Past the ordering counter is a self-serve silverware, water, and condiments section, and just past that is the door to the restroom and the self-bussing dish station. I used the bathroom and there was no toilet paper (luckily the closet door was unlocked so I didn't have to resort to paper towel haha), the hand soap seemed very watery, and the walls were cluttered with dated Yelp awards, posters, and a community cork board. Sitting at the most inward bench table there was dangling AC tube coming out of the wall which seemed like a tease as it was so stuffy and warm in the cafe. The plants all over the order counter and storage shelves look really nice and welcoming, but the concrete floor is in desperate need of refinishing. Part of me is curious about the current quality of the entree items (I used to love the BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich), but the other part of me wants to keep my money and just cook at home. Unfortunately this small, fun, fully vegan cafe has very much fallen on the quality scale in my book. :( read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! However, today was different. I haven't been in a few months and I got the BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich. This was the driest and tasteless jackfruit filling I've ever had. The other times I've been here the jackfruit was stewed in a wonderful bbq sauce that absorbed in the jackfruit. This time it was slapped on a bun, dry with a smear of bbq on the bun. Completely different and so disappointing for the price I paid. I really hope this was just maybe a new staff issue and not what it's changed into. read more
