I'm not strictly vegan but eating at Cosmic veggie I feel like I could be. They had the largest menu of food and smoothies I've ever seen at a fully vegan restaurant. I ordered the Fiesta Bowl and Hulk smoothie and they were both incredibly delicious. Then I bought some to-go salads from their refrigerator section. The egg salad blew me away! I swear it was better than the best real egg salad I've had, and I've had a lot of egg salads. I wish the owner sold a recipe book for me and all the real and semi-vegan people around me in California! read more

I was so delighted to find a vegan cafe in Anacortes while staying in the area this weekend. Their menu is huge! So many sandwiches, wraps, and smoothies to pick from. I got the orange cream smoothie which was refreshing and delicious. I also had the tofu sandwich which was fresh and filling. My husband enjoyed his avocado toast and Chai latte. I also picked up some vegan egg salad in the to go fridge that I can't wait to try. Charming cafe in the cute downtown area of Anacortes. Plenty of seating and very friendly crew too! It's so nice to be able to eat everything a restaurant offers. I admit it's not cheap but fresh and vegan ingredients can be a little spendier, and I've never ordered anything here that I didn't enjoy. My daughter always enjoys a smoothie, and I've had salads, sandwiches, soup, and several tasty baked treats. The last time I went, I was using a gift card. I asked the girl at the counter if I could give the remaining $6 left on the card since I didn't have a tip. She smiled and said, "Nope. 'Can't do it..." I thought: "Well, now she's gonna be upset I didn't tip!" --But then she said: "'Guess you'll have to come back!" This was sweet, since she has nothing to gain by inviting a non-tipping customer to come use up her gift card. My last visit was quicker but I would usually say: "Give yourself a little extra time. I can't sing this place's praises loudly enough! I've been here exactly twice and I will always stop by when I'm in the area again. I live 3 hours away, but I was on a mom's only trip with my friend and we were looking for places at which to eat. My friend is pretty selective about what she eats, so it can be challenging to find a place that both of us like. When I was younger, I was a vegetarian, and even became raw vegan for a year. I love vegan food and it's so hard to find a place that is both delicious and reasonably priced that has a large and diverse menu like this place does. The menu offerings all sound delicious, and everything that I've ordered has come out tasting exactly like I would expect. You can tell this is a successful business because the owner also offers catering. On top of that, she also offers week's worth of food online for pickup so you can take it home as a more convenient meal prep. GENIUS. This does not make me biased in any way shape or form whatsoever , but they are also dog friendly. All the staff there is friendly, hospitable, and warm. I usually stop by this place just for the drinks, and I've always liked them enough that I never really bothered exploring the food menu. Healthy food is great and all, but I never felt like spending the extra money. This week I noticed they updated their menu, so I took a chance on the Banh Mi (spelling still questionable, lol). Honestly? It was really good. It didn't taste like "healthy food," but I could tell it was, and I actually felt great afterward. My only critique is the bread. If you don't eat the sandwich pretty quickly, it soaks up the juices and starts to fall apart faster than you'd expect. Not a dealbreaker, just something to know. Overall, solid job. We remembered this place from this time last year and decided to come back after the ferry ride over. This year we had the Apothecary smoothie and smoothie bowl, both were obviously similar but the smoothie bowl and additional pieces of fruits and granola. Both fresh and delicious! Best gluten free lunch I've had in a long time! Searching for anything gluten free in this area is tricky so having a completely gluten free and vegan restaurant is so amazing. I had the falafel wrap and it seriously had me questioning if what I was eating was actually gluten free because the texture of the wrap was so good. Yes, yes, yes!!! Delicious!!! Recently moved to the WA and have missed having a healthy juice bar close by. Though I have to drive a good half an hour to get here from Whidbey island, but it is totally worth it!! I'm not a Keto diet person, but the Keto smoothie sounded delicious having greens and cashews and other healthy delicious things in it, and it didn't disappoint! The flavor is slightly sweet with a bit of blueberry, a slight hint of tart from the ginger and just an overall light, fresh taste. The prices are reasonable considering you're getting extremely good quality ingredients without GMO's. The ladies inside were lovely and knew the products well. Lucky me, I came on the delivery day for their bakery and got a dollar off the cookies I was buying! I haven't tried the mint or toffee ginger cookies yet but the ginger coconut cream cookie is amazing! (I'm sure the others well be too!) I also picked up a loaf of the Herb garlic sourdough bread and I'm looking forward to toasting that for breakfast tomorrow! The nice lady who rang me up gave me the tip of toasting it low and slow a couple of times because the ancient grains that they use don't lose their moisture as easy and will toast up very nicely.
