Carne Asada!
Tim H.

Stopped in for lunch. My coworker and I were greeted kindly, and sat right away. The bill was larger than I expected, but so were the portions. The dining room is nice and the service was perfect. If I wasn't from out of town, I'd stop in pretty regularly.

4 Tacos, 2 are carne asada, 2 are al pastore. Well packaged for travel but not good to eat. Bland and made me sick.

It was sunday, passing through anacortes in a hurry for the ferry and Mis 5 Estrellas was closed, how about this place? Well... avoid I think. We ordered the nachos and 4 soft tacos. The good: Everything was packaged extremely well. Great containers, tacos were wrapped individually, and food was served piping hot. The portions are huge. I was stuffed after 2.5 soft tacos The not good: Nachos: ingredients not good. We threw most of it out, not good ingredients, no spice, no fresh anything. A big tray of yuck. Tacos: Ordered a mix of carne asada and the al pastor. In both cases the meat is bland and tough. Had been sitting for a while. There's not much fresh anything in this food. Stomach felt sick the whole next day.

One of the best taquerias in the area. I probably eat here at least once or twice a week. Would recommend over mad over to anybody.

Wet burrito with chips n salsa

Order the wet burrito. It's outstanding. If you want excellent, quick, reasonably priced and generously portioned Mexican food with good service then here it is. The wet burrito knocked my socks off. It was delicious. The chips were fresh made and pretty typical. The salsa was too hot for my taste but I also have a low tolerance for spicy hot anything. The staff and service were great.

I ordered a burrito. Took it home to eat bowl style had a few bites and realized there was a dead fly in the middle of the burrito. So glad I decided to eat it as a bowl instead of a wrapped.

I order for my crew at the refinery and everyone loves it. Faster, cheaper, and better than Chipotle. Burritos are huge and full of flavor.

Great Mexican food. Small restaurant with an authentic Mexican market feel. Seriously the best salsa in town.

Brown Lantern is a classic tavern and ale house. They have a large bar, dining tables in the bar…read morearea and a separate family section that is less "lively." Features a full bar with cocktails and a great beer selection. Ambiance is fantastic, with dark wood and interesting lighting and decorations. I'll be honest - it smells like dirty bar from time to time, so I'd say cleaning could be improved. The menu has something for everyone. Their burgers are awesome, the tater tots are creative and delicious. I tried the steak tacos the recently and they were very tasty, although the tortillas were slightly over toasted, resulting in a bit more crunch than you'd expect. Service is usually good. The bartenders handle table service, so you could end up with more than one person waiting on you rather than having a dedicated server. This can result in slower service times when it's busy, but that's the nature of the beast.

Is there any service or were we just being ignored? ‍…read more Walked in, waited around for a bit while the staff did their thing. There are no signs that said "please wait to be seated" or "seat yourself" either, but after waiting a bit we thought we'd seat ourselves and the service would come to us. That never happened, so this feels like we were being ignored. It's unfortunate though, because it seemed like a chill place to grab some food. But this isn't how you run a business because after waiting around for 15 mins we left. Probably won't be stopping by again.
