Carne asada quesadilla
Daria S.

Excellent service! Wonderful food. Nice decor. We came in hungry after a hike and got so much food, we had to take half our food home. Cadillac and strawberry margaritas were amazing! We loved the quesadillas and burritos!

Chimichanga and chicken fajitas (no beans just rice)

Food was good--chimichanga was humongous but good according to my husband and my chicken fajita was also good except the green bell peppers and too much onions had an adverse reaction to my digestive system. Service was fairly quick. The place was not crowded but there were a lot of takeout orders. The restaurant is small but was quiet enough to enjoy our dinner.

We had a craving for Mexican and based on the reviews, this was the best and closest spot to us. It's a shopping center store front location and has about a dozen tables. We were greeted quickly and once we decided what we wanted, we sat and our food was delivered shortly after. Randy ordered chile relleno and I ordered chicken breast carnitas. We each had a choice of tortillas (flour or corn) and beans and rice with our order. We ordered sour cream on the side since it's not included but there is guac and lettuce and tomatoes on the plate. Randy didn't really enjoy his relleno. He said there's not a lot of flavor, not even the poblano itself. My chicken breast carnitas was not only chicken breast - in fact, maybe just two small pieces were breast - so that was disappointing. Everything else was fine from the salsa and chips to the rice and beans (the portions of rice and beans are huge) but we wouldn't go back.

Top view of Mexican Pizza from Agaves Taqueria

I was in the mood for pizza or Mexican food, so I decided to visit Agaves Taqueria and have Mexican Pizza! The restaurant is small, only 8 tables each with 4 chairs, but it is kept neat and clean. The walls are decorated with what appears to be hand painted murals made to look like hanging photos of life in Mexico. The prices have gone up about 70% in 3 years, but I guess it's to be expected with the pandemic causing shortages and other causes of inflation over the last 3 years. Anyway, the food is still just as good, if not better, than it was 3 years ago! This is my first Mexican Pizza from Agaves Taqueria and I enjoyed the experience. I ordered my pizza to have chicken for the protein. I guess you could say "the other protein" because it comes with refried beans. The pizza is actually quite large. Much larger than I expected. I guess I'm used to Taco Bell's version which is only about a third the size of Agaves Taqueria's version! I ordered my pizza for dining in and found a seat at one of the available tables. After a very minimal wait, the pizza was delivered with a caution that the plate was hot. I proceeded to make a pig of myself and ate the whole thing!! So much for my dinner tonight. I'll have to skip dinner to stay under my calories for the day. But, oh was it worth it!! The chicken in my pizza resembled ground beef in size and look, but was definitely chicken! I applaud the choice to prepare the chicken in this manner. If it had been chunks, or even shreds, the pizza would have been difficult to eat. But having the chicken in a crumble made it so much easier! My only complaint would have been there was no sauce for it. Luckily every order is served with salsa and chips. So, I poured a little of the salsa over my pizza and that made it even better!

Clean and friendly atmosphere.

Excellent food, we had Camarones a la diable. Very tasty and generous portions. Nothing fancy here, just good food. Will definitely return.

Awesome food in a pretty mellow setting. Always delicious. They have a pretty traditional menu that reminds me of actual food in Mexico.

Haven't been there in years. Now I remember why. Terrible tacos. Had no flavor whatsoever.

Agave Taqueria was closed two days in a row. I'm not sure they are still open for business.

Again- everything was perfect! We have driven fairly far to come to this place because it's…read moreincredible. The only new thing we tried this time was the corn- it was amazing! The servers were helpful and service was fairly quick. We will be back!

I was waffling about whether to even write a review, because "OK" doesn't really rate my time. But…read morehere it goes. Molka Xete on a rainy day was pretty quiet at lunch. They have 2 tables for 4 and one table for 2, and both were taken. So we sat at the empty long community table in the middle. Seating is NOT plentiful, and I see why they take reservations later in the day. We'd checked out the menu online before coming, and knew we'd try the street tacos, with all the flavors, except the zucchini (!) and the Pastor, which is spicy pork. Now, pay attention when I say I'd looked at THEIR website before coming. The cashier announced the side bean soup was "a dollar extra". Apparently "complementary" means something else to them? They just looked blank when we said "thought that comes with it". A buck is fine, but CHANGE the ONLINE menu. Ok. Now you go and pick up your napkins, plastic spoons/forks, and water in the corner. (There's also the trash bins, so you can bus your own table after) If you ordered a soda, they are in a case in the back corner. They brought out the soup immediately. Oddly, it was in a little Styrofoam bowl, but only 1/3 full. (No problem, because it was so spicy I think it had jalapenos grated in to it.) Might want to change the size of the bowls, because it looked chintzy. The tacos arrived piping hot. The size is about the palm of your hand- "street taco" size. They say they are flour tacos, but they are thick and chewy. All are dressed only with cilantro and onion. 1. The rock fish was badly unseasoned. One little lime comes with the 5 tacos, and it was dry, at that. I couldn't use the table sauces, as the green was atomic, and the red was oddly umami, sort of savory, but not in a good way, and also way too hot for PNW palates! (Please note another reviewer mentioned she IS Mexican, and it was too hot for her!) 2. The chicken was more flavorful, but again, without any sauce, and dressed with cilantro and onion only. 3. Carne Asada- sirloin steak chopped? Well, it was full of connective tissue bits. Like, stick in your teeth forever. Dry. 4.Carnitas is the pork. This was good, because it had a little sauce of its own. 5. Best of the bunch was the Deshebrada- slow cooked beef, with quite a bit of tasty sauce. I'm sure ordering the $8 guacamole side dish would have picked up all the tacos and I'd recommend that if you want some kind of flavoring. I realize we only had the tacos, so I can't speak to the torta, sincronizada, or parrillada (I don't even know what that is)...and supposedly they have desserts, but I didn't see any. There is also a drink menu on the tables, with cocktails, which you don't see on their website. Final result was a 3. Some good flavors, most too spicy and dry. Not a fan of community seating, but no other choice given the tiny space. Tourists will probably keep this afloat.
