It's a very cute book and coffee shop. The atmosphere is eclectic and warm. We had iced lattes and baked goods. They didn't have almond milk, but they have oat, hemp and one other nondairy milk that I forgot. In early afternoon on a Sunday there weren't a lot of baked goods left. I had a cranberry orange scone that was really good. There is some seating with tables. Some stuffed chairs and some hard chairs. There wasn't a lot available on a Sunday afternoon as it was pretty busy. There are books throughout and an area with books. There is a shop area attached to the cafe part. They have lots of unique gifts. And there is a little table for kids to sit and color at. They had crayons and coloring pages. It was super cute! The parking is all street parking. It's near the arena, so if there is an event there parking can be hard to find. I actually tried twice before to visit on a Sunday and couldn't find anywhere to park because there was an event. I think trying to go on a week day might make parking easier. read more

I really liked the vibe of the place. The barista's were super nice and helpful with the menu and offered an alternative to a London Fog since they don't have Earl Grey to make one--I tried the Lynnwood Fog on the menu instead. I had to use the restroom while there and while the handicap restroom is very spacious there were multiple mini flies circling the trash and thus the sink (so washing your hands was gross because of flies circling your head). I also noticed a few flies towards the seating at the middle/back of the store too. The flies kind of gave me the ick, I was wishing for some measures that showed they were trying to take care of their fly problem, but didn't see any. This is a fixable problem. 3 stars for the flies, 4 stars for the overall vibe. read more

Looks like Artisans Books & Coffee is coming up on 1.5 years in business, located in downtown Everett. I had a chance to checkout this indie on a spontaneous sunny St. Patrick's Sunday sojourn (3/17/24). Easy peasy free Sunday parking. Warmly greeted upon entry. Wandered the entire length of the retail shop...well appointed seating, some new but mostly used book titles, counter to order menu items, a pocket bar, nooks for seating, try out a manual typewriter, make buttons, or play the piano. Did not buy anything, but thumbed through a French Canadian dictionary from 1958, and enjoyed the fascinating vibe while onsite. read more

I simply adore this place! Been here twice! It's one of those rare gems. Love me a good bookstore and coffee place! They have old books from sci-fi, to romance and fiction with everything in between. They have such cute and punny cards for any occasion. I had a good ice frappe here! Forgot what flavor but it was pretty good! They also have tables for chess games, conversation and studying. They also have a door opened that peers into the business next door (a gift shop -- believe it's called Artisans Mercantile). They have artwork from local artists such as Washington landscapes. They also have lotions, soaps, vintage clothes, Knick knacks, stuff for the home etc. I got a bowl cloth holder (they also have oven mitts and hand kitchen towels). Let me start by saying this is such a cute little coffee shop in downtown Everett! A group of coworkers and I decided to stop by after a meeting for some coffee. There was a group of men (regulars it seemed) at table playing cards which I thought was pretty cool. A few other patrons enjoying a cup and some food. Thousands of books adorn the wall making this establishment one of the more unique places you'll find in the area. Also, the coffee was smooth and delicious. The only downside was a very grumpy man working behind the counter who immediately gave off unwelcoming vibes. As we set our stuff down on a table and approached the counter to place our order, he states "so are you this eating/ordering or what are you doing?". I proceeded to tell him that we'd like to order some coffee. He must not be used to groups because he had another employee take our order while he made the drinks. She was an older woman, very kind and sweet. He then gave her attitude after he failed to use oat milk in two of our drinks as if it were her fault. Needless to say, he's the reason I felt compelled to leave a review. Good coffee, crappy baristo who probably just needs a hug or a day off. If you're reading this, I hope you smile today! read more

This books and coffee shop was a welcome surprise while we were visiting Fisherman's village in Everett. The nostalgic smell of old books combined with the coffee smell creates a welcome atmosphere. Perfect pairing if you've got a few hours to kill. There are crayons and paper for kiddos too. We got a dark chocolate Mocha, the taste was great and it was ready quickly. It's so cozy in here and so was the apple spiced bread pudding I got here. They warmed it up for me too and it just tasted so nice and homey. We also asked about interesting places in town and they gave us so many great recommendations to stop by at that we otherwise never would've known. In particular a mushroom shop a few blocks down that was so cool. Definitely a great place to stop by and wind down. read more

Would never come here again. The lady who made my drink was new so she kinda messed up on my drink. She put it in a smaller glass when I saw it in a bigger one. It was filled halfway because the other half was foam. I was charged $9 and some chang and there was ice in it so it wasn't even half. I felt cheated out of my money. read more

Delicious coffee using a regionally local roaster from up the highway. Wonderful and personable service. Excellent breakfast sandwich-- bonus points because they had a gluten free bread option. Food and coffee were both at a more reasonable price point than a lot of coffeeshops these days. Welcoming and cute warm atmosphere filled with books, seating, and table space to embrace a good read, enjoy a friend or few, or even hold a community event. The TL;DR - hidden gem - fun atmosphere, good Chai and pastries. Well worth the stop. Full review - Stopped into this quaint shop for the first time today. My hubby had an appointment and I needed a place close by, relatively quiet, with a place to plug in while I waited - this place checked all the boxes of my Google search. Walking in I was immediately drawn in by the "homey" feel, cushioned chairs in an alcove by the entrance were occupied by a group of young adult friends talking and laughing. A bit further in, the books filling the shelves and table displays were an eclectic mix of new and already loved, with everything from local authors to vintage classics. Wander in more, and you'll find a tall shelving unit with games across from the counter with a wonderful selection of beverages posted on the boards and pastries in the case (there's also a cafe type menu to explore, if you have more time). I found the prices quite reasonable as well. The woman behind the counter was warm and friendly, a bit like a favorite aunt - attentive but not overbearing. I ordered a Chai tea latte and asked about the pastries. The scones looked delicious, but I settled on the bread pudding. I paid and stepped aside to wait for my food. The clerk waved me away with a "Sit anywhere, I'll bring it to you." I settled at the far end of the cafe on a bench that looked like it had come from a 1950's diner and had seen better days, but it was comfortable and I had privacy to work. The food was served up quickly, the clerk was at my seat with my order before I had a chance to boot up my software. The bread pudding was soft and well put together with a hint of cinnamon and tender apple pieces (try it warmed - you'll thank me later). The Chai was spiced, but not overly so. I prefer my Chai a bit on the sweeter side generally, so trying a new place is always an experiment. This one ended well though and I enjoyed sipping the hot liquid as I worked. I wasn't in the place long, and will return to browse the books and have a longer stay when I have more time. One note though - their website could use some help. As of this writing, the event listed on the homepage is from February 11 and the Cafe Menu hyperlink doesn't take you to a menu (at least not on my phone browser). The online shop is only a tease of what they truly have to offer, so definitely plan to go in person! read more

I really like this place. My book club meets here and I recently got a coffee for the first time and it was really good. I'll be honest when I went to pay I was a little surprised by how expensive it is, but it was so good I couldn't be mad. Unfortunately luxuries like coffees are feeling more luxurious in the wallet as well these days, but that is not exclusive to Artisans because it is happening everywhere. Cost will not deter me from getting it again though. As for service, the lady that helped me was very friendly and genuinely invested in conversations with other patrons which was nice to see. read more

I needed a place to study before the library opens and get coffee of course. This place has lots of tables and power outlets which is important to me. My laptop is old so I need to be by a charger constantly. Folks at the front were nice and welcoming. Also the books!!! So many books...I didn't have time to check them out but once I'm done studying I'm definitely going to check out the books. read more

Such a lovely book and coffee shop. There's also a craft and artisan product store connected to the coffee shop. The tomato soup was delicious and the Texas toast used for grilled cheese was so crisp and delicious. There are so many games available to play with friends. Lots of small gifts for sale which are unique and well priced. I look forward to visiting again and trying more from this lovely shop. read more

We stopped in for iced tea on a hot afternoon after exploring Everett. Friendly, welcoming service, good tea and cookies. Very pleasant, comfortable setting, with older furnishings, where you don't feel rushed at all. Limited menus for breakfast, lunch and even a little wine and beer. Open evenings, too, when informal small groups gather. Once you are there, it's easy to stay longer than planned. read more
