Tried a newish spot in downtown Everett because I ran across the owners posts on Instagram which were so cute (posts about being a women owned business!) and I'm so glad a I did. Although all I had was the matcha, the matcha flavor was pretty good and what was really stunning was that their blueberry syrup with actually made from real blueberries not synthetic stuff that a lot of places use!! They almost tasted like wildblueberries, it was really delicious and great to see a local shop put the time and effort into actually doing something like that. The barista was also super sweet and we joked around a bit as I was about to go take 25 kids camping and that's why I needed a bigger matcha lol. They also have a little wall of products like perfumes and such that I browsed while I waited. I will absolutely be back to support :) read more

Had a summer internship in Everett and rode a scooter here practically every week, it came to the point where it was almost every day. This is a great caffeine spot. It was so easy to ride my scooter down and put it in my little cup holder. Barely ever a long line. The baristas are really fun and made great conversations everyday. I really miss coming here! Great vibes. The food selection was average- it would've been great to see more fresh baked items. Nonetheless, there is a selection of burritos and bagels. They have the Lotus Energy Drinks which is the main reason I would come here so often. The customers are also really friendly. read more

The good, the bad and the ugly... Let's start with the good. This is my favorite coffee shop in Everett, hands down! It's worthy of 5 stars and I've been a customer for 4 years. They use single origin beans, Monin syrups and high quality milk. The baristas have always been top notch. They are knowledgeable, consistent, pleasant and courteous. I look forward to chatting with them on my frequent visits. Now for the bad... Recently the new owners have started changing things. Hours of operation have shortened and the staff has been reduced. Under the old schedule I was able to stop in 3-4 times a week. Now I will only be able to go once a week :( Thus my 2 star rating. I fear the ugly. I hope that the baristas are safe having to close the store alone. I also hope they are compensated for the extra workload they are sure to take on. read more

Really not sure why this place is rated so highly. I think it's riding on past ratings where I can clearly see the coffee being pulled right and looking great. Reading the reviews I went to this shop last weekend and was utterly disappointed at what they gave me as a latte. So was my wife. The latte had a thick layer of foam on top of the cup and was just mostly milk with a hit of coffee. Also if you're trying to run a coffee place, I think you really ought to have an option for a mug, instead of paper cups only. Makes quite a difference in the experience. Maybe it was just a weekend and understaffed thing ( just 1 lady working), but we just had a really bland tasting latte. read more

I just want to say that Brad and his entire staff are amazing and I LOVE the diversity in topics and people in the coffee shop and I doubt there was ever profanity or purposely rude comments or goodbyes stated. Stopped by here the other night for a little evening pick me up. Decided to go with what I know and ordered a vanilla latte. It came to me in a mug which I love, there's just something cozy and pleasant about it. It was so smooth, creamy, and perfect till the last drop. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet too. Never been in such a welcoming coffee shop! The interior was nicely decorated and staffs were pretty friendly! Came here for a meeting and the environment was very peaceful and comfortable. Perhaps because we came around a Sunday morning, but nonetheless, great experience. Ordered a latte and was surprised they were able to do latte art! Right balance between creme and caffeine, it definitely started my day off pretty well. As They didn't have the flavor we requested, I took a second to contemplate what I would like & she began to ramble flavors I said "okay thanks." & "Please stop" as she kept talking over me. Finally, I said "Just stop. I'll take a plain latté." Although, the barista who worked the bar (pink hair) made AMAZING coffee & the breakfast sandwiches were very good, wish they had condiments. Nice spot to grab a quick snack and a drink. They have pastries from Little Rae's bakery, an assortment of sandwiches, and of course plenty of coffee and tea. Got a bacon cheddar scone and an ice tea lemonade. Really love that the ice tea isn't overly sugary, and that they have options for both black or green ice tea. Just before 11am on April 16th, 2019, I stopped in for a coffee on my way to a meeting in the building. When I walked in someone was asking what a Breve was. While the barista could have just explained what it was she decided to go on and tell him that it was something people on high protein, high fat, low carb diets usually order. She went on to explain that it was a stupid diet and complete bullshit. I was waiting to put in my order, a Breve Latte, while listening to this. I've been on my low carb high protein diet for about 12 weeks, under guidance of my medical doctor, a specialist in weightloss, as one part of my treatment. I leaned in and told her quietly that I was on this diet and so far lost 50 lbs, hoping she'd just hold her tounge, and maybe be a little embarrassed at herself. Instead she told me it was stupid and unsustainable and that I'd just gain it back anyway. I stopped for a minute and decided that I would just leave. I didn't need to give them my money to get rediculed. As I was leaving she remarked to the other customers, "whatever, bye." I had every intention of letting her tuck her tail and just move on, but she doubled down. I wasn't asking for special treatment. My drink was on the menu, it's a normal order. I will never be back, and I won't ever give them my money. This display of exclusively and shaming customers is appalling. I don't feel welcome, and really don't want anything to do with a business that employs people that behave and treat others this way. So, 'Whatever, bye.' ***** Update ***** I just spoke with the manager through Facebook, and he's working up a response as well, so you can all hear their side of the story. Here's what he had to say: "I was there this morning. I heard what happened. Jess was asked about the diet and I believe she was simply expressing her opinion on the matter to those customers who had asked and were engaging her in that topic. I understand that you then chose to engage the topic with your opinion on the matter which is well within your rights. At that point in time my barista probably should have responded with a little more decorum but she did not respond with profanity (as your Yelp review states) nor did she attack you or you shame you personally. I won't speak to her credentials on the subject but I don't believe she was expressing anything more than her opinion on a subject she was asked to weigh in on by other customers and it was definitely not an attack on you personally as the conversation began before you were engaged. I am sorry that you had a negative experience. I never want that to happen. We engage in conversations on a wide variety of topics with people from many backgrounds and livelihoods. We often express opinions because we are humans and we have them. Sometimes those opinions are unpopular. We are never attacking someone else or shaming someone else for their opinions just as we hope we aren't put down for having ours. Often, really wonderful conversations are had between two people with varying points of view and everyone learns something. Can we be more careful with how we say things? Of course. I think all of us can identify with that. My barista never intended to offend you or in any way hurt your feelings. But, I also don't think that she should be punished for having an opinion and expressing it when asked or engaged. I am currently working up a response to your Yelp review as well. I feel I must respond with our side of the story as well. I do hope you'll give us another shot sometime in the future. We're a lovely bunch of people even if we are often quite opinionated. And, no matter what I hope you have a fantastic rest of your day." I will not be back. This behavior is appalling, and knowing that it's supported is even worse. We are all entitled to our opinion, and yes she is allowed to think or say whatever she wants to. I can also spend my money where I want to. So can you. I'd say we can all do better. ***Update*** Per the reply, below, yes. She called it stupid, not bullshit. But that still missed the point. I tried to show her that maybe sharing her thoughts publically on what other people choose to do with their body is hurtful and wrong. She is allowed to have whatever opinion she wants, but as long as this bavior is supported, I highly recommend you go to anywhere else for your coffee. read more

My husband and I stopped in for a latte and a quick bite. The staff immediately greeted us, they were both very friendly and patient with our indecisiveness. We settled on 2 white mochas and 2 ham & cheese croissants. We sat next to the window in 2 large chairs and spent about an hour just chatting and spending some quality time on a cold Sunday morning. The bacon, cheddar, and chive biscuit I enjoyed with my coffee was so tasty that I've resolved to attempt copying it at home. The young woman at the counter was patient with my elderly dad, whose hearing is lousy and required everything to be repeated. I'm taking a star off, though, because even after the cashier repeated my coffee order back to me, the barista still made it wrong. The cashier wrote only "decaf" on the side of the cup, but none of the other instructions. It came out with 2% milk instead of skim, and almost 2" of foam, after requesting no foam. Nobody died, of course; but I like my coffee the way that I like it, that's why I order it that way, and I expect it to be made to order. read more

Hands down best coffee shop in the downtown Everett area. Not only are the beans roasted to perfection and taste amazing, but the baristas are so down to earth and make the visits that much better. The atmosphere is super chill in the coffee shop. They have a bar table that has a view of the street and chairs with coffee tables in the sitting area, which is perfect when coming out to do some work or read a book. The drink menu has so much variety! They also have an assortment of pastries as well. Recommended this spot to a family member that was visiting out of town, and now this is his favorite coffee shop to come to, to do some work when in the area. First I must say, I don't drink coffee but I do buy food there. Just had the most lame sandwich ever from Bread & Bone or the other way around - sandwiches that are brought it daily - cost $9 and there was probably about 1.50 spent on ingredients. Don't buy them! A very nice place to stop on your way to work in downtown Everett. They open at 5:30 a.m. Vegan-friendly! They offer soy, rice, and almond (yay!) milk. They carry Flying Apron (vegan and gluten-free) berry and ginger scones (and maybe one day the pecan cinnamon roll? because we can dream) and cookies. This may be the only place in Everett you can find Flying Apron!. They also have vegan and gluten-free cupcakes. Clean, friendly, nice seating, rather pricey...but I did mention this is one of the few places in Everett you can find vegan pastries and almond milk, right? A bit pricey, but ok. Very clean and ample, comfortable seating. Nice background music, although it seems to fade in and out a bit. Staff are friendly but if you go in anytime near closing don't expect much. They close at 6pm but like to start the process about 4:30pm, shutting the window blinds, putting up chairs, putting things away. This is not a good afternoon/evening hang out. I didn't feel comfortable and probably will stop coming by after work. It's not very pleasant to sit by the window for an hour on a beautiful day and stare at closed blinds.
