Cecilia and izze and all the employees there are the BEST!!! So sweet and helpful. The menu is great and extensiveeeee syrup list so you can make a billion different type of drinks. Quick and really affordable too! Best coffee stand in Everett. The baristas energy makes this place special! A great place to start the day. Owners/ management should be very proud of them!

I've been going to this stand for three years. I'm a coffee snob so for me to stick to any one place means a lot coming from me. I was a barista myself for about three years and know what coffee should taste like. When one is a barista it's hard to give up the control over our drink because you know how it should be made. I also know what milk should sound like when it's steaming. Hint- if it's screaming it's going to taste microwaved and flat- they need to move that steam wand to the top of the milk pitcher to aerate it. All it takes for me to go to another stand is one incidence of receiving a non-aerated latte. My favorite thing about this stand is the $2 Mocha Mondays! You won't find a mocha cheaper, and like I eluded to earlier- the quality is excellent because the coffee is excellent and so are the baristas. Bargreen has been roasting coffee in Everett since 1890 and I'm a sucker for a local roast. Another favorite, like I mentioned, is the baristas. Christine works weekdays in the morning and girl can pull a mean espresso shot. She knows what "ristretto" is, aerates my milk when I order hot drinks and remembered my drink the second time I came in. She's really sweet, too and always brightens my Monday mornings. This stand also has almond milk for only 25 cents more, which is an absolute steal considering that most stands charge 50 cents or more. They also offer rice milk and soy milk for those who are lactose intolerant or are avoiding animal products. Don't forget to get a punch card for two-punch Tuesdays and check out the daily specials. The crepes are delicious and not a bad price- $3.25 each. The bagels are good and they sell Umpqua oatmeal which is the most delicious oatmeal I've ever had. Give this stand a try- it could be your new favorite. Just don't go Monday mornings because I hate waiting in lines and don't want to wait behind you ;)

the packaged pastry they just gave me is over 7 days expired. The coffee is fine and reliable, but I am sometimes disappointed.

This place is the best!! I've been here a few times now and I always get the same order - breakfast…read moreburrito with avocado and London fog tea or their seasonal coffee beverages. I've been wanting to try their chocolate chip cookie but it's never ready when I've gone. Their burrito is delicious though, it's packed and super filling, not to mention the sauces are the best part! I wish they gave a little more as I end up finishing the sauces before the burrito is done because they're sooo tasty with the burrito. I also wish they had other meat options other than bacon. They don't have chicken add ins but other than that it's a great place! I've also had their biscuit and jam, but that's just ok. I wouldn't get it again. It's not that tasty or memorable. There's lots of seating, food is ready fairly quickly, service is great and employees are friendly, and parking right outside. So convenient!

However, and I'd like to share my feedback on my experiences. - The food is decent, though it's often prepared for presentation rather than taste. It frequently arrives cold. - The coffee and tea are overpriced and tastes mediocre. - for instance, I paid $8 for a 4-ounce mix of espresso and orange juice that made my stomach hurt. - I also paid nearly $7 for the "peach blossom tea" and ended up getting 3/4 cup of ice, packet tea, and sweetener in a cup. - I've tried nearly everything on the drink menu and nothing is 'great' - The wait time for an order is incredibly long, and the employees are often distracted and preoccupied with other tasks, making it difficult to get my order taken. Overall, go to narrative for the ambiance and food, NOT the drinks.

Wow. Velton's has changed my coffee life. I recently discovered Grain Artisan Bakery in Snohomish…read more(highly recommend), & since it was afternoon, I got a decaf latte to go with my rhubarb custard tart. With decaf, I've come to expect that I will need the sweet treat to enhance the drink, but this coffee was absolutely as good as the amazing pastry, which is super, super rare!! It was Velton's Three Ravens Blend, the best decaf - by far - that I have had in more than a decade of searching. Three Ravens is completely delicious standing alone - which is what I've been searching for - and it harmonizes beautifully for the half-caf I like to drink in the mornings. I first emailed the business about which of their caffeinated offerings they would recommend for this, and Velton Ross got back to me right away with the friendliest, kindest reply and several very thoughtful suggestions. So far I've enjoyed the Bonsai Blend - an excellent and delicious accompaniment, just a slightly warmer, brighter profile when full-caf than is my preference - and I am going to order the Twilight Blend next. Although you cannot buy in person from their roastery, you can easily order from their site. They have lovely detailed descriptions of everything they offer, and shipping is very quick and very reasonable. They roast on Mondays and ship on Tuesdays, and I have always received my order (in Shoreline) by Friday, or Saturday at latest. There are also quite a few retail locations from Everett to the eastside - and even one each in Vegas and Montana! - where you can buy their beans and/or drink their coffee. I greatly appreciate that they took the time to list these on their site with detailed information about each establishment. So helpful for learning about local businesses I might have otherwise never come across. Online, you can purchase both whole bean and pre-ground for espresso and drip coffee. The drip coffee grind was a little too fine for my coffee cone method. So I experimented with whole beans and found that, for me, the flavor is perfect when I grind them one setting coarser than I used to use for other coffees. The best part of all of this, is that this is the first decaf I've ever been able to drink without a feeling of compromise, extra doctoring, or gaslighting myself into believing that it's good. Zero disappointment!! I can make a straight decaf cup any time of day and know that I'm going to love every sip. Thank you, Velton's!!
