Great diner vibes in Edmonds. There's a ton of options (a few too many if you ask me, overwhelming). Lots of ways you can customize. I ordered pancakes with eggs and bacon. Good pancakes (maybe could be a tad fluffier). The mimosa was the perfect ratio of juice:champ (ie, just a spritz of juice). Service was fast and attentive (coffee refills were frequent).

The crispy potatoes are addicting! Excellent eggs Benedict, and the ferry waffle was amazing, with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas and whip cream. Also the coffee is excellent and the service in the past had been subpar but Ana was friendly and welcoming which more than made up for any past experiences.

Classic diner vibes right in DT Edmonds. The space is bright and open with a separate bar area that's actually pretty nice. Food is decent and hits the spot, but the service can be a bit on the slower side. Prices also feel a little high for a traditional diner menu. Overall, not bad for a casual, but yet occasional bite.

If you want a nice breakfast in central Edmonds and don't want fancy prices or menu items this is your place. Ferry traffic and limited street parking can make it a challenge but the service is great, the coffee is good and refilled often so you can enjoy it. Plenty of options.

Today was extremely busy because of all the MOMS being celebrated and honored. Food was still great and very flavorful. Coffee kept coming too! We waited a little bit but it was still a nice meal and ambiance was great. No wonder it's super busy. I recommend for breakfast, brunch and dinner. Amazing service!

Breakfast food similar to Saw Mill but with a higher price point. ( $65 for breakfast for two) bacon omelette, chicken fried steak & an order of almond toast Service wasn't the best today and they weren't busy in the dining room. Drinks came, food came and then the check came. I had to flag the waitress to get attention.

This is your ordinary breakfast diner. After reading the reviews, I was thrilled to try it and wanted some good ole pancakes! I ordered pancakes with eggs and bacon and couldn't wait to dive in only because of the reviews (and I was hungry). The pancakes weren't anything special. In we ready to be wowed, but didn't get there. The whole meal seemed overpriced, but comparable to other restaurants in the area. They had good service and the food came pretty quickly. I would actually give this place 3.5 stars if I could.

Every year when I come back to Edmonds Washington, I have to stop by here in her breakfast at least two times but you have to check out the amazing bar! They've done some remodeling and it is spectacular! I personally don't drink alcohol, but I have to tell you if you want to sit and watch the game? Or if you want to sit back and enjoy some good food and have sort of a festive environment? This is the place for you. The front of the restaurant is more family oriented, but has a large number of quaint and private seating for people who like to join alone, or in smaller numbers... But if you were celebrating a birthday? Or having a bit involving many people? This is also the place to come. I had a lot of fun with my server, and I really enjoyed the meat lovers omelette with no onions, and no hashbrowns I had to slice of tomatoes, but my friends who joined along had plenty of food to eat, I will tell you that all of the servings were delicious and the portions were incredible. The view is absolutely amazing too. You've got a lovely view of Main Street in Edmonds And all you have to do is look to your right from the front door and you could see the Edmonds ferry dock... This place is absolutely beautiful, but make sure you get there for breakfast or lunch because they do not do dinner.

This is more than a coffee shop diner . They offer alcohol beverages!! We both enjoyed our food . It was tasty and came out hot . At the time we went in the beginning of the week , they were not to busy. They are located in downtown Edmonds . They offer breakfast and lunch .

I've been to Claire's several times over the years. I came for a work Christmas breakfast this year and have to say it's as good as I remember. I had the Joe's Special San Francisco style. It was lovely and the hash browns were cooked perfectly. I'm normally afraid of baby reds, but my coworkers did the crispy potatoes and they looked f'ntastic. Incredible service by the waitress who had to serve probably 25 of us. A definite must try for outstanding breakfast!

A lot of natural light made it feel inviting and open. We enjoyed our food and drinks. I enjoy a spicy drink and got the Spicy Strawberry Margarita. It tasted fresh with the Serrano pepper taste, but not very spicy in my opinion. Avocado Fries, were filling. There is dairy in the batter and I could not personally try, but the hubby liked them. Naked Wings, tender with a crisp skin. We got the sauce on the side. Our friends ordered a burger and the Flat Iron Steak and both enjoyed their meal. The Steak came with bacon wrapped asparagus that was delicious. The bacon was crisp and cooked throughout and the steak had great flavor.

The salad base and dressing were genuinely good, which made the steak more frustrating. The chicken pot pie soup special sounded exciting. It was just a thin runny cream soup, barely-there chicken, no puff pastry in sight. More disappointment per dollar. My boyfriend ordered the steak taco. Steak was just as flavorless and under-seasoned. The tortillas unpleasantly thick. Do not recommend and will not return unfortunately.

Even without a reservation, the hostess seated us right away. We chose to dine on the patio, which was absolutely perfect on a beautiful sunny day. Our wonderful waitress started us off with a crisp house Chardonnay (highly recommend!), followed by our appetizers. We ordered the burrata, the beet salad, and added the bread service and every bite was fantastic. For our entrées, I had the scallops while my partner ordered the steak salad. The food was exceptional. Every dish featured fresh, high-quality ingredients, was beautifully presented, and had perfectly balanced flavors. It was the kind of meal that felt both elegant and fresh, with no complaints whatsoever. Our waitress was attentive throughout the meal and made excellent recommendations that elevated the experience even more. From the welcoming service to the outstanding food and beautiful patio, everything exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

Rusty Pelican is one of our Edmonds staples! Breakfast or brunch, guaranteed to be easy,…read moreconvenient, and delicious. Street parking only, but if you're open to a walk, downtown Edmonds tends to have ample parking around the area. When busy, they do provide a buzzer that has a short range, but opens up the opportunity of walking around slightly. Items can be a bit pricey, but they're also very filling. Large space, lots of chatter, and friendly service. Number Three Combo Club - we wanted waffles this time but also bacon and sausage. This was the variety pack we desired, though wish it came with both sausage and bacon! Opted for the bacon and it was thick, fatty, and delicious. One waffle cut into the four quadrants, ready to soak up syrup. Simple, but a classic. Chunky Monkey Pancakes - goofy perhaps, but another timeless classic combo of chocolate and bananas. Three chocolate chip pancakes, fluffy and ready to absorb the Nutella drizzle. Could have a few more chocolate chips embedded for a more balanced spread, but the chocolate drizzle helps spread flavor. Bananas for the healthy balance of course.

Hot Dogs in Cars, and Managers Named "Robert" : A Hate Story…read more I have been a regular patron of The Rusty Pelican since I moved to Washington, just shy of 5 years ago. I take visiting loved ones and friends here, and I constantly extol the service and food to anyone who needs a recommendation for a breakfast spot in Edmonds. NEVER. EVER. AGAIN. The manager, Robert, showed sickening behavior. My partner and I were having breakfast out in front, when we noticed that a fellow patron had left their dog in the car on the sidewalk in front of our table. It was 60 degrees out, and completely sunny. The windows were barely cracked, and the dog was panting and straining its neck towards the venting of the window. We called our waiter over, who was incredibly sympathetic and horrified. He went inside to find the customer. We waited a few minutes longer, and then asked a second server to follow up (they were equally horrified and sympathetic). The second server also did not return. My partner went inside to seek help. It was at this point that they encountered Robert. My partner came out a few minutes later and explained what was happening: he had been in the process of denigrating the employees feelings about the matter, telling them to stop bothering customers and (essentially) quit acting like babies. "This isn't Arizona!" he exclaimed. When my partner asked to speak with him and tell him the situation, he was horrendously rude and confrontational, escalating each polite rebuttal with an agitating escalation of rudeness and denigration. My partner calmly explained that in these conditions, a car's interior temperature can rise to above 80 degrees in well under 30 minutes, not including stifling humidity. These conditions can cause an animal to pass out and die within a similar timeframe. At this point, it had been well over 30 minutes since the patron had parked. During all of this, he refused to even address my partner or look them in the eyes. It was absolutely unacceptable, and ultimately embarrassing for a grown man in a PAID CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED POSITION to treat anyone like that. To be clear: the entire staff were incredible. They came out to check on the dog a few times, and tried their best to confront the owner of the dog, but a certain manager was preventing them. They also apologized profusely, and showed a grace that is exemplary and frequently unseen in today's world. We learned several good lessons today: 1. We should have just called animal control right off the bat. The owner isn't going to learn their lesson without legal intervention, or lethal endings. Thankfully they left after about 40 minutes, and the dog seemed to be conscious. 2. I am never going to eat here again, as long as Robert is employed. He should be left in a hot car out front to teach him some perspective. I wouldn't call animal control for him though. 3. I am going to spend the rest of my days around Edmonds telling anyone who will listen this story. To Robert, if you read this: I hope nothing but bad things happen to you forever, and your behavior is inexcusable. You do not deserve to be employed. To anyone above Robert in a position of management or ownership: fire him. Quickly, and unceremoniously. Do it in front of the kind employees, as a treat. They had a familiar air of exasperation with Robert's behavior, telling me this is normal. And under no circumstances should it ever be. Shame on you Robert.
