4 seasons of coming here and I can say that the food, drinks, friendliness, service, cleanliness and such a fun space for adults and kiddos alike will appreciate the games indoors and out. Highly recommended! Dogs can come and enjoy with their owners on the outdoor space as well!

Sit wherever you want she said. So we sat upstairs. Wide open with kids play area. Shelves stocked with books and board games. I had the Hot Chicken Sandwich w/onion rings + tartar sauce and my husband had the DD Tacos. Both dishes were very good! Overall, it was great experience. Nothing but positive vibes here.

Dwellers is located in a cozy area and has two levels! I enjoyed their chicken sandwich and fries! Their employees were helpful when looking at their menu and they have a great variety of options for food. It is also family friendly so you can get a bit to eat with your family! I hope to go back and try other items from their menu! Side note, their ranch and fry sauce was fireeee

A word of caution if you are going for kids area. The seating is limited and they do have large parties reserve upstairs, We went and there were no tables available due to an upcoming reservation. We have returned several times. Food is ok, tap list is great. Play area is amazing if you can get a spot. Service is mediocre depending on the day.

Very pleasantly surprised with this place! It is SUPER kid/family friendly with many small details to show that - from the kid play area (filled with good quality and branded toys), video game area, to the bathroom with step stool to wash hands, toddler potty seat, and safety table corner pieces, the owners seriously thought of it all! The servers were super friendly and attentive and provided great hospitality. Food came out lightning fast for a very busy Saturday night. Bonus points that the food was tasty and very reasonably priced (my total for a burger & fries with extra side onion rings and a can of coke was $27 before tip). I look forward to visiting again and hopefully experiencing another great time! Thank you for coming to Lake Stevens! Please stay :)

Got the standard burger and it was good, so much bacon for an additional $2.

Food was really good, no wait for seating, and great ambiance for dates or hanging with buds. Lots of space for kiddos to play. Can be loud at times but not overly. Very patient servers. Ran out of space to talk about my meal in the pic lol, so... tots were crispy and the porter was almost a meal on its own. We will be back, like the fact that the owners are a group of friends.

Wow, I am incredibly impressed by this new Lake Stevens restaurant! Everything was so great and service, while unexpectedly slow was fine considering they're new and working things out. 5 stars all day. I ordered takeout from their website. The system for ordering was totally usable -- no complaints. It gave an estimate of about 25 mins to pick up, so I arrived around that time. Parking was ample - they have a small-ish lot (~20 spots), but there is overflow into the street, which is fine... and even more overflow in a dirt lot across the street (not sure if that's allowed, but some people were parking there). When I arrived around 7:00PM on a Saturday, there were 2-3 spots available in their lot, but at peak time, you'll have to think about that. I walked in, and there's no normal host sitting at the front to greet you and figure out things, so my first impression was that of terror and confusion. They had some info on the wall about "how they work" - that you just grab a menu, sit down, and I guess order at the bar, and a server will bring your food to you (using numerical flags, I think). Makes sense... but does that mean I should go to the bar? I stood in my frozen terror position for like 20 seconds (20 mins in terror-time), and a nice server came up and asked if I'd been there before. I blurted out that I was picking up a to-go order, and she was super friendly and helpful - went to check on it. It wasn't ready, yet, so I sat in an empty bench near the front door. While sitting, I got to take in the vibes of everything going on. They had some huge TVs playing Mariner's baseball and a WNBA summer all-star game. The interior was super clean, like a modernist, clean, beer hall. They have this huge fireplace thing with reclaimed-looking wood veneer and gigantic, chonky, long, wooden tables. So, it kind of felt like you were a tiny kid in an oversized place. It's really nicely decorated, though -- extremely well done. They had games for people to play, and someone was actually playing cribbage at one of the tables. Their website said they were super family-friendly... and that vibe wasn't just lip service and is attracting a certain niche(ish) clientele - there were kids eating, babies hanging out in strollers, kids outside playing corn hole... lots of kids. It was kind of loud from people talking (like... above-average since it was all one big open room), but I don't think the kids were particularly disruptive, so I think people without kids would feel awkward being here, too... or I'm just desensitized, who knows? I had a lot of time to look around and soak in the vibes because it took about 20 mins to get my to-go order. I don't really mind that... like, if it said "be here in 40 mins and we got you", I would have been fine waiting 40 mins, but it's just the awkward sitting in the lobby-ish area, watching people going all over and not being certain when it'll be done or if they forgot about you and it's just sitting there ready to go. I couldn't see the bar from where I was sitting. But the helpful server did update me once during that time to let me know they were just waiting on one more thing, so it wasn't "horrible". I just chalk this up to being new and busy... working out the kinks. No worries, here. So yeah, got my food and headed home. They packed the food in eco-friendly stuff, which is great -- I do think these eco-friendly containers aren't as good at keeping fried stuff crispy, but it's fine (you know picking up take-out and driving for 15-20 mins... it's not going to be perfect, so it's just the trade-off of the environment vs. food freshness, lol -- and the environment is worth it). We got a wide variety of stuff, between everyone in the family - grilled cheese, "drummies" (fried chicken drumsticks), hot chicken sandwich, hatch chili queso, tots, fries, onion rings... so, I had a chance to try a lot of the menu, and just about everything was perfection. For me, they ESPECIALLY NAILED the fried chicken. It traveled well, was crispy, juicy, hot, and well-seasoned -- and it wasn't over-the-top or weird... just classic fried chicken with a thin coating. Their buffalo sauce was on the hotter side, so my wife wasn't a fan, but it was incredible-tasting (HOT = GOOD FOR ME). We got it on the side, so it didn't ruin anyone's time. The hatch queso was great -- had onions and stuff mixed in, which made the kids weary, but they really enjoyed it once they got over that. The queso comes with fritos and home-made tortilla strips -- both were fun and tasty. Onion rings were great - still crispy and hot... well salted, etc. Just great. The hot chicken sandwich was my order, and it was SO GOOD. Again, they just nailed making a juicy, perfectly fried chicken... the sauce was on the hotter side (which, again... amazing for me) and it had chunky cole slaw inside to balance it out. YUMMM. The average-est part of the meal was the fries - they were just fine. Stop reading and go eat!

We finally had a chance to try this out when it wasn't so packed. Came in around 4:30 on a Thursday and thought that was a safe bet. After about 30 mins one of the servers checked in with us and realized our order had been lost. Luckily our kid was having a good time playing upstairs but we were super hungry. Our food came out shortly after and was pretty good. The kids burrito was huge and we took half home. We also tried the craftsmen which was delicious and the Fontaine which was okay but wouldn't get that one again. The loaded tots that they gave us on the house were tasty too. Although it took a while for our food, everyone we came in contact with was friendly and provided excellent service. The place was very clean and had lots of drink and food options. I hope this one sticks around as this location hasn't been gracious to other restaurants.

New place. Very nice interior. Nice owner and nice staff. They have a special section for kids to play which is an amazing idea. The food was great. Alex the owner was very nice and very welcoming. I look forward to going back again.

You can tell a current parent of young kids designed the bathroom. This is the most "family friendly" establishment I've ever been to! Kudos to this place for making "potty" breaks so much earlier for parents with young kids! Beers are great, food is good, service is decent - but come here if you want a place for your kids to be entertained and also somewhere that feels like home with toys on the floor and other tired ass parents that just need a beer or four. I love it here and you will too!

Grilled cheese

Oh boy. Where do I start. First off I know this is a new restaurant so there's going to be hiccups. Also this was on a very busy Friday night. The staff was not bad but service was slow. Just ordering off a QR code. The whole place had a great vibe, but so did meatheads, which use to be at this location. We went upstairs and sat at the bar area waiting for a table. In the mean time we ordered a couple drinks and a 12 Drummer(hot chicken and bbq), as well as the hatch Queso. 40 minutes later 8 drumsticks showed up so we started off shorted 4. We told one of the servers and they were working on correcting the order. We started to dig in. Not cooked all the way, somewhat highly and raw. Another 10 minutes went by and we received the hatch queso(50 minutes after ordering). It was cold and served with a very small mixture of chips(frito and pita chips?). We were hungry and while we waited for the drumsticks my wife had ordered a grilled cheese a chicken tenders. Those both took about an hour to receive. We got the grilled cheeses first. The bread was slightly toasted and the cheese was still COLD. After that I had had enough. We did end up getting the chicken tenders and my wife said they were good....but by that time I didn't even want to give it a chance. The manager did come out at one point and apologize and stated he would correct it and refund us(this was before we received the grilled cheese. Upon getting the check we had to have the server check that there was a refund. He had to change a few things. They did have a great selection of drinks. Also our friends that attended also were served raw drumsticks and other food. For a dozen of them, $30 is not worth it. Even if they are cooked correctly. Overall the only thing that saved them from a 1 star rating is their selection in brews and the set up of the place. I hope that future visitors have a much more positive experience, but I will not be back.

Right off the bat as the newest kid on the block of lake stevens, coming in where many others have not lasted I am hopeful. Drummies are large and sauces are good. (Get the gochujang) Menu is off to a good start from what I can tell, more experimenting to come. Tap list is diverse and pretty local based. Nintendo switch on the big screen...? I like seeing more of that

Beer

Family friendly spot in Lake Stevens for some great food and Beer. Upstairs has a kids play area with games.

We love the family friendly atmosphere and the always friendly waitresses. The food is consistently well-made and delicious. We've been here more times than I can count and have never had a less than great experience. I'm O B S E S S E D with their homemade soups. They are to die for. Best clam chowder and fish in chips in town, too! Better than any seafood restaurant I've been to in this state, way better than Ivars. And every time we go, they have a new soup to try! Which is awesome, but also sometimes frustrating because I've had several that I'd love to have again (Mexican chicken noodle and creamy mushroom chicken live rent free in my head) But they never seem to offer the special soups on any kind of rotation. Can we get a soup calendar on the website?! Not even joking. The number of times I've nearly rear ended people while driving by trying to catch the soup of the day on the sign outside is a little embarrassing. I love this place. The only things I could suggest to make this place even better are minor. The iced tea is not great. Tastes more like tap water than tea. And I wish they had a kids steak option on the kids menu because my kids always want some of our steak. Also, I wish they would turn the music down slightly during the family friendly hours. It gets quite loud. But other than those tiny detail, Hawkeyes is my kinda place!

In long This is kind of a nice strip mall complex, as these things go. BI has an end unit with a dining room toward the front and a lounge tucked in back. Both were busy today with a late-breakfast crowd. I had some time to kill and figured I wouldn't feel too bad taking up a table at a place this big. They're promoting breakfast with a big banner out front at the moment, which it turns out you order at the counter. I'm immediately guilt-free about taking up a table if they aren't sending servers out, just expediters. Dig it. They put a tray of ice waters on the counter--they've clearly dialed up the at-the-counter vibe to near table-service levels. I got an omelet and a coffee. They gave me a little table number and the expo brought my stuff out pretty quickly. I gotta say both the girls working today were super friendly and nice and made the place feel much more welcoming than another BI I hit a while back. The coffee here was surprisingly good--not overly roasted, solid flavor. The mug was from the roaster, whose name I've already forgotten. Kinda showing some pride in their coffee efforts. The food was decent. Clearly everything was out of a bag--processed cheese, egg mix rather than cracked shells. But good, despite the cheese being a little gluey. Hash browns had good flavor and crunch, biscuit was alright, too. Easy to finish, even though this was a little more food than I really needed today. Prices here are very fair. And I gotta say that big groups of friends filled every table and half the booths. Both rooms of the lounge were hoppin', too, and it was in between typical rush hours for breakfast or lunch. I think this BI might be the more-dependable link in the chain.
