Wanted to like this place more than we actually did. Inside the restaurant is super nice and spacious. Got a few things on the menu that interesting. There was four of us that had dinner last night. Two of us ordered the mushroom risotto with chicken added. And two of them ordered the salmon dinner. The chicken was extremely rubbery and way too chewy. Salmon was cooked perfectly with lots of moisture. Dessert we order the sorbet and the duo cheesecake. Sorbet was an interesting flavor and the duo cheesecake was two tiny pieces. Drinks were just ok. Two them ordered the rye cocktail and one ordered the purple people eater. She said it tasted like couch medicine. Not a good way to describe her drink. We came for the happy hour since I saw they had a pretty big menu with lots of options. The food was really good and some items were unique and fun. The chicken yakitori was my favorite. This is my third time visiting 16 Eleven and it has been a pleasant experience each time. It's the perfect place for an anniversary, birthday, or another celebration. The restaurant is very spacious and the tables are spaced out fairly. I like the dim lighting which adds to the ambiance. They are known for their steaks so it's a must. You can choose your sauce and sides come separately. I recommend trying some of their appetizers. We ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms, peach salad, and fries. Their cocktail selection has a variety and they are all very good. Missed many marks...16Eleven was on my list to try for a while, but I'm sadly disappointed. My husband made a reservation for Valentine's Day and I had high hopes because they had a sign on the door saying they were fully booked for the night. I loved the ambiance of the place (except for the mounted taxidermy heads hanging on the walls); it was moody and romantic with an old school vibe, however, that was about everything I loved. Service was okay but for the type of fine dining they're trying to accomplish, it didn't impress. We started with the filet mignon beef tartare that didn't have any flavor and the prosciutto wrapped scallops which barely had a sear on them. Main dishes had great potential and we quite enjoyed the Wagyu bavette steak which was cooked perfectly (although under seasoned), but the mushroom risotto was so salty that we had to drink a sip of water after every bite. We didn't want to send our food back because it had already taken awhile to bring out and we also had to wait for silverware while staring at our main dishes for a few minutes, due to poor timing of our server clearing the old silverware and the kitchen bringing out the food. We were there for about 1.5 hours but ate for maybe a total of 15 minutes. We ended up asking for boxes and ending dinner early, forgoing dessert so that we could go elsewhere, because I didn't want to end the night here. For Everett this place is solid. I spent ~ $200 before tip for two drinks, two appetizers, and 3 mains, which is reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Unfortunately, only one of the mains stood out and that was their grilled heritage pork chop. Menu otherwise was non-distinguishable from other similar cuisine (American) and caliber restaurants. Attentive waitstaff and there weren't a lot of other customers. Great place to meet up in secret with your mister or mistress. Our visit was for lunch. The ambience of the room is in amazing. A very open space with Edison hanging lightbulbs filling the room. The light reflecting off the marble tables is a sight to see. The service was first rate. Katie worked with us and she was all smiles and helped us through the menu. The food was delicious..to say the least. The biggest distraction of our experience was the random diming of the lights. We were told that due to the old building, when the dishwasher is running, the lights dim. This restaurant was absolutely terrible!! One of the worst restaurants I have been to in a very long time. I got the ribeye which came cut in HALF. Why is a steak cut in half for you at a steak house? My guess is because they don't know how to cook steak properly. I asked for medium and got extremely tough meat. The sauce I ordered was some sort of cilantro sauce which was SO salty and something about it was bitter at the same time, it was inedible. It took about 35 minutes to receive drinks, then 30 min to get our appetizers. Another 35 to get our dinner. And same amount of time to get dessert to us. Wondering how I know this? I base it off the time stamp that I took pictures of our food. A lot of the smaller parties who arrived after us got their food and drinks well before us. Not cool. As for our check, a party of 2 was a total of $185! We got 4 espresso martinis ($17/ea), tenderloin bites ($19), Berries and Burrata salad ($15), and the 16Eleven burger ($30). All of that was $132, plus tax and automatic service charge of 20% was $185 and some change. Food: It seemed like they used the same sauce on the filet mignon, tenderloin appetizer, and the steak frites entree. My boyfriend's burger was served with a burnt and crunchy bun. No bueno...the fries were good. The burrata and berries salad I got had bruised strawberries and mushy blueberries. The sticky toffee pudding was more like a loaf of banana bread with caramel sauce. I didn't try the lemon tarte, but one of the gals in our party said the lemon custard was sweet and panna cotta was tart. Just not what she was expecting. Also her small tart was served in a huge plate with nothing else on it. It was so odd. Her husband got chocolate mousse which was very small, served on a small plate, and dusted with chocolate powder. My steak tenderloins was yummy but way too saucy. It was like steak cubes in brown gravy, not Demi glacé sauce. My friend got the Hanger Steak au poivre frites (basically steak and fries). She asked for it to be well done and it came out burnt. The bad: the Cauliflower Tempura was pedestrian and tasted like something from a chain restaurant. Went to 16Eleven this evening for happy hour! It was amazing! We had the prawns, bruschetta, and crab cake. All were DELICIOUS! For drinks, we had the make your own old fashion with bourbon, cinnamon simple syrup, and walnut bitters - literally one of the best cocktails I've ever had! The ambiance is wonderful! The bar feels intimate, the drinks are fun and exciting, and the food is delicious! I've been here several times with family and friends and have always had a really lovely time! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The whole experience is the perfect place for a date night or special occasion! I'd highly recommend checking it out for a nice night out in Everett. I'd also like to note that many of the 1-star reviews of this place are people who openly admit they've never actually been here. Not taking reservations over the phone and being unable to accommodate carry out are not good reasons to give a restaurant a 1-star. Very hit and miss. It can be very good, like extremely good, but it can also fail to deliver. I recently went for the supper club and they were out of 2 of the main dishes even though our seating was at the start of the reservation range. Another time, my duck was very dry (the taste was good). I tried my brothers (veal?) shank at the same seating and it was extremely good. For the normal menu, one the of wellingtons I've had was also completely raw. I typically enjoy rare steak and even blue-rare, but I was surprised it came out that way. That said ive had a couple good ribeyes, their burger is the best I've had in the area and I generally enjoy their cocktails, even though they all fall on the sweet side. I generally like this place, but at the price point I think they make too many simple mistakes to give them a 4 or 5 rating. read more

We came in because we are fans of the chef from his Chef Behind the Curtain days. The plan was a couple of appetizers and a drink or two which turned into also splitting a Wellington. Everything we ate was delicious and artfully plated. I was particularly impressed with the fusion of flavors-katsu sliders and tikka marsala potstickers were creative spins on common dishes that made them feel more elevated somehow. The service staff was top notch and accommodated us beautifully. The atmosphere feels modern while still being true to the historic building in which it is located and includes a comfortable lounge. It's wonderful to have another fine dining option in Snohomish County. This is a great spot for a special occasion or drinks and apps with friends in the lounge. Let me start by saying I went into this dinner knowing I was going to review it. I went with a critical view. First impression, you are in downtown Everett. It is a shady part of town, the building doesn't look like a restaurant dolling out $160 steaks nor is there any signage, YET! We mapped it and remapped it. We decided to park on Everett and Wetmore and walk around the old Club Broadway in an attempt to find the entrance. Once you find the door on the front side of the building and walk thru you immediately know your there. It feels hidden like a speakeasy. Once your in, you feel the vibe. Our reservations didn't make it thru the system. No worries there was plenty of room and the hostess was great about it. We sat in the bar to wait for the rest of our party. Cam, the head bartender was very knowledgeable. We picked his brain about cocktails, mock-tails, food and the vibe of the new place. We were not aware they had only been open for 7 days. It was a very quiet opening and they are trying to get their feet under them. Great conversation, great suggestions and very welcoming. We were kind of a pain. The first table we sat at was very tiny for four people and all the table stuff. With empty tables we asked kindly to be seated in one of their gorgeous green velvet booths. The hostess obliged and helped us move. Little did we know the space was larger but the table was the same size. No worries. Our waiter was awesome and helped keep our table clean. He answered all of our questions, was very attentive, and did great seeing as this was his first job ever as a server. The big question: how was the food. We ordered the Kalmata Bread with a trio of butters. This was my favorite of all things ordered. The flavor was spot on. The butters all very different in flavor and punch. Try the curry. It works trust me. We ordered an extra loaf so that we could finish our butters Next up the Wedge salad was good. It was like any wedge. Our friends ordered the Ahi tuna app and liked it. For dinner we tried the Beef Wellington, glad I can find one close to home but not writing home about it. The pastry and meat were spot on. The pate and duxelles were a tad to salty. Rib eye was good but not a fan of having it cut for you as it felt like it was drying out. However, it made for a nice presentation. New York strip was the same feeling as the ribeye. Wagyu was cooked to perfection. It was seasoned with a heavy hand as it was to salty. It was finished and plate rubbed clean of the sauces though. For dessert, we ordered the Sticky pudding, profiteroles and the Meringues. All of the desserts were good. I would eat more of the Kalamata loaf instead of ordering dessert next time though. Yes, I think once they get their footing this will be a great night out. I worry about the neighborhood being the right place for such an upscale menu. It is quite pricey. The employees were all very knowledgeable, happy to be there, happy to share the history of the building and what the upcoming vision is for the building. We ordered drinks and my wife didn't care for hers so our server replaced it no questions asked, the service although nice, was a bit slow. We also loved the lighting and music but were put off by deer heads everywhere. I think the food was a little lackluster, especially for the price. Our appetizers (tartare and scallops) were on the bland side. And the mushroom risotto we ordered for the main course was overly salty.
