    Blackened Shrimp Tacos sooo good!
    Krystal L.

The plates were MASSIVE and really yummy. The shrimp tacos were soo good with the crema. The trio was enough for me to eat for dinner and lunch. They also have chilaquiles w/ green and red salsa, the green was really good with crispy chilaquiles, would come back! They also have a ton of parking!

This was a great place! The prices were decent, however I did feel that 5$ for a very small bowl of guacamole was not great... The food other than that was amazing. We tried fajitas, burrito and chimichanga and it was all VERY good. The food tasted fresh and they took note of our dietary restrictions. The service was attentive, they made sure to check in and refill drinks. The store was empty when we got there but the closer it got to dinner the more people flowed in. Definitely a family friendly restaurant! Would go again

In short Great bar, tasty food, friendly staff, fairly reasonable prices. And seriously, the bar is on point. In long This place has been here since forever, for all I know, and sometimes you wonder why such a big building doesn't seem busier. Last night I finally realized that the parking is just weirdly around the back, and the place probably bustles way more than I ever knew. This is a busy stretch of 4-lane and 6-lane roads criss-crossing each other, with (usually) ample parking. That's kinda what the extended burbs are known fer, ya know? Parking here is fantastic for wheelchair users, with a thoughtful ramp incorporated right into the facade, but the bulk of parking sits behind the joint. All the better to appreciate all the "tropical" looking palm trees out front. At the moment, those palm trees twinkle with holiday lights. We came in on one of those aimless weekdays between Christmas and New Year's when you can eat whichever meal whenever and follow that up with a cocktail. Appealingly enough, they were closing early to send people home to enjoy more holiday hangout time, which gave us a good window for a couple drinks. We tried 3 different margaritas and a tamarind cocktail. I was trying to be quick with my phone, and managed to get great shots of them...and then fat-fingered them into the trash bin somehow. So either trust me or check others' photos: They present their cocktails attractively, sometimes in classic margarita glasses, sometimes in glasses you don't see many other places using. Both the tequila and mescal versions had tons of flavor, and even a little kick to them, which is awfully nice for your money. The chips and salsa were good, and they seemed tickled when we asked whether they had any spicier salsa. They did, and it was awesome. True little tingle of heat at the end. We also checked out the guacamole sampler. 4 different guacs together on a little white serving dish that had dimples pressed into it kinda like a deviled-egg tray. All 4 were tasty, and we wiped all of them out, though scraping out the last bites got trickier as the dimples got emptier. We were out of here after 4 drinks and plenty of snacks for $75. Not the cheapest place to go seeking a little buzz, but competitive enough these days. We'll definitely be back to get a better sense of their food. It's good when delivered, and looks good in photos.

Food wasn't very flavorful. The place isn't as clean as you it seems, there's lots of visible trash on the floor and grease on tables. When I was paying the bill, I was not informed of the extra charge for using a credit card, which if I was told before paying, I would have paid in cash. It's not that the credit card fee is too much for me to pay, it's the principle of the thing. There was no honesty, which made this experience unfavorable. I will drive farther for better service and food.

It's not often that I'm in the area. But I saw this restaurant head over 2400 reviews. I had to check it out. They have an extensive menu with all sorts of authentic favorites. I ended up getting the avocados trio. Which provides an opportunity to try the Carne Asada,Pollo Asda and bacon wrapped prawns. With Rancho grande market Carniceria just down the street. I imagine they get a lot of their quality meats from there.

Decided to come here on a whim on a Friday night. Was worried it would be too packed but we were seated immediately. Service was really fast and really appreciated that since I was with a tired toddler. Though nothing is marked vegan, I ordered a veggie burrito and asked for no dairy. They accommodated my order easily and even switched out the cream sauce with just a regular verde sauce on top. As for the rice and beans I don't know if it's cooked in chicken stock or lard. I forgot to ask. I ordered a Mangonada margarita and I wasn't expecting how huge it would be. The chamoy and tajin were my favorite part on this drink. Sweet, spicy and tangy. It's a casual environment. Good for family or happy hour. Awesome staff. Will definitely be back again.

Good food, good service, nice ambience. They were nice enough to turn down the reggaeton a bit for my crying baby. We'd come back.

My wife and I stopped into Avocados during the week for lunch. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Lunch specials are offered daily until 4pm. Happy hour is offered daily in the bar from 3pm-6pm and on Sunday-Thursday from 9pm-close. During our visit we sat in the bar. The bar has a few TVs mounted. We snacked on complimentary chips, salsa and pico de gallo while perusing the menu. We each slurped on a Dos Equis for $5.25 each. My wife ordered the Chorizo Con Huevos for $10.99 (lunch menu): Mexican sausage scrambled with eggs, tomatoes and onions. Served with rice, beans and warm tortillas. She enjoyed her meal choice. I ordered the Ground Beef Lunch Burrito for $9.99 served with rice and beans. Delicious. Our server was friendly and efficient. Overall, Avocados serves up tasty food at reasonable prices and I look forward to returning to try other menu items.

The food is fresh and delicious. They have a whole page of their drink menu dedicated to Margarita's. Great atmosphere and service.

We had a MARVELOUS experience!…read more My bf, his mom and myself passed by this place on a couple of walks. I've also marked it as a place to visit. It is part of the Staybridge Suite hotels here and this hotel in general, is always packed! We finally know why! The hotel inside is beautiful -- woodwork and a cozy ambience! The 5 x 5 bar & bistro is new. What it was before was an old theater. Matthew was a one-man show with two ladies helping him with carrying the done orders to the tables. It was actually quiet on a Wednesday when we had went. Only 3 tables occupied. We missed happy hour and settled on the regular menu. I had the chicken tenders (4-pc) with lemon pepper seasoning (oh my -- this was delicious!) along with sweet potato waffle fries. I also got the hummus plate -- fresh veggies and the hummus had feta cheese and olive oil too, yummy! My bf had the pepperoni pizza with cheddar cheese and topped with green onions. I had a taste of it and it was pretty good! My bf's mom had the fish burger with a side salad. Matthew was so kind and made a mental note of the orders. He even remembered my bf's mom saying 'no cheese' and he doubled checked with her after looking at the fish burger. Real nice guy and his service with the ladies was warm and delightful! They're forming an events room hall that will be done soon that used to be a pool area (so yes, no swimming pool anymore). They also have a nice patio area with long chairs and a nice mini bar/grills in the middle. I also had a limoncello cooler and my bf's mom has red wine too. We'd come back again!

In short Great deals on great drinks, food is really solid,…read moreand the setting is nice and friendly. Only drawback is that the hours are limited. In long Lately we've been seeking out places that are literally quieter--less volume on the music, more space between the tables, and so on. I'd been wanting to check out 5x5, anyway, since it's the only spot around with an exactly perfect rating score. It looked like it'd fit the bill for a low-key place, and off we went. We came in shortly after they opened on a Saturday (4:00 PM). You're in a larger business-traveler hotel here, aimed at Boeing and Boeing-sub folks traveling for work. The building looks kinda generic from outside, but there's plenty of parking, and the lobby has a high-ceilinged atrium vibe for sure. Nice floor tiles, nice carpet, tasteful furniture. Everything's in perfect shape. You don't feel the lounge vibe right away, but there's a gigantic fireplace ahead of you, warming both sides of the room from the middle. Around that, there are lots of sturdy, shiny tables under the lofty ceilings. Off to the side, there's a little lounge area, then another one. Everything in the lounge is bar-height seating, and there are a few flatscreens, probably showing the game. Most folks are in here, sitting around the bar in the middle of the room. We posted up at a table just outside the lounge. Lindsey was behind the bar, and cheerfully answered every single question we had about food and all their cocktails. She's super friendly and makes a great drink for sure. She seems to have a bunch of regulars who aren't staying at the hotel, which is a great sign, no doubt. We checked out the warm pretzel--such a decadent treat. The waffle fries (and especially the aioli that came with them) were awesome. The pizza was a great choice; we added pickled onions to the Speedway. The crust could be a little crisper but we took home what we didn't finish and it's great here, too. Service on food and drinks was really quick. The cocktails here can be really creative, and there are lots of classics with house twists on the recipe. They even have a pisco sour they've tweaked--that's a fair bit of work for a bartender to make mid-shift. We got 5 great drinks and 3 nice plates of food for $96, and I don't think we even ordered anything from the HH menu. This is a very easy place to add to the rotation.

HH review In short…read moreGreat design in a very welcoming space. Food might be under-seasoned to some people, but it's very well executed...and you can always add salsa. Great bar program, too. In long Previously, my biggest complaint with coming here was the total lack of parking every time I have tried. They obviously have no trouble getting the crowds in here. Today we scored some free time in the mid-afternoon, and their HH starts at 3:00 every day. We did go off the HH menu for 3 items, which ended up being worth it. You can't help but notice the buildout here. Pretty lights, interesting patterns or murals on almost every wall, lots of cool detail to the finishes everywhere you look. They even have yon selfie wall next to the washrooms (they took down a much bigger one). The bar has a couple flatscreens showing the game, but I'd probably not come here specifically to pay attention to a ballgame. At regular price, we got an awesome plate of chunky guac which I'd put against guac anywhere around here, at least that I've tried. At $15, it was almost a buck a bite, but, man, it was tasty. The bean dip had a great creamy consistency and mixed well with all the other condiments. We also got a muddled fruit cocktail from the regular menu, which was also excellent. The ceviche isn't a huge portion, and not overloaded with shrimp, but, hey, it's HH, and it's super fresh and tasty. The street tacos had awesome grilled flavor on the chicken, and the salsa served with them was fresh and excellent. We got 2 other salsas with our chips; the table salsa is nice but mild on the heat. The habanero salsa was a little too runny to get much on a plain chip, but it had great flavor and kick. Everything tasted really fresh and added plenty of seasoning to whatever was on the table. This is definitely a good place to mash up your salsas and dips and see what you concoct. The street corn was delicious. Such a perfect HH food--easy for the kitchen, but tons of flavor, and they nail the presentation. Corn tasted really sweet and crunchy even though you know they get it frozen. I'd get it again any time. For 3 apps, 2 dips, and 2 cocktails, we were under $90 before tip. Not too bad, especially since we went off the HH menu for stuff. This place is definitely in the rotation.

But here we are, 2025 and with time to kill decided to give this neighborhood watering hole another go. First off, since we were there during the day it wasn't too busy which was kinda nice. Because it's kind of a small pub it would be horribly crowded, even with their outside seating on a busy Friday or Saturday night. Lotsa T.V. with sports and nice island-style tunes with a noise level where you can have a conversation w/o having to repeat yourself or yell. Service was good, mostly due to the time of day, light crowd, so we were able to sit where we wanted, given menus, ordered drinks. Our server was personable, made regular check ins and food time from order to service was perfect. Now what motivated me to write this review was mainly because of the food. Because honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. With the Island /Hawai'i thing being their theme, some of their menu that reflected that. So I decided I'd give some of my island favorites a try, of course with some lowered expectations. I mean I've eaten at some local island/Hawaiian places here in Western Washington run by islanders that were subpar and some cases bad. The meals I gauge would the loco moco and spam musubi. So at the Twisted Lime, that's what ordered. Wifey had a big ol' plate of their Nacho Mama. Her take, loved it. Perfect as not so much stuff on it to make the chips all soggy, go good amount of toppings, nice crisp chips and the guacamole, super tasty. My meal, I was pleasantly surprised. The musubi was excellent. That being a good SPAM to rice ratio, nice strip of nori and good flava. In case you wonder, most good musubi should have a piece of SPAM at least 1/2 thick, and rice 3x that. Place that cheap out give a sliver of SPAM and a butt-ton of rice. Examples of poorly made musubi: the ones they make at Town and Country Market in Mill Creek and Marination at T-Mobile. If you like 'em from those places, good on you. But if you ever had a well made, well proportioned one, you'll never go back. Examples of local perfect musubi: Sushi Spott so far has my number one spot, but Hawaiian Sun in Everett, and as of this review, Twisted Lime has damn good musubi. Now for their Loco Moco. First off, damn fine presentation, second off, "ONO GRINDZ". I wouldn't say broke da mout, but pretty damn close. Good proportions of rice, good amount of gravy with good flava, two beef patties, also with good flava and a nice egg over-easy. My only comments are, 1. For their loco moco price ($18), only one egg? I know that most loco mocos I've made or ordered, standard (especially in Hawai'i), two eggs brah! 2. If you wanna do the whole Aloha theme, Hawaiian mac is a standard/complementary side of any Hawaiian meal. Not something to be added to the price. Any plate lunch includes Hawaiian mac. Seriously, Google Search images. Kinda like burgers, fries should always be included, so bravo to the places that do that and shame on the ones that charge over $10.00 for a burger and don't include fries. 3. For a neighborhood bar, I'm surprised it isn't family friendly for a time. Example, the Savage Moose in Kenmore, sports bar, FF until 2100 hours. 4. No smoking or vaping in the outdoors seating? It's.....outdoors. It's not like you're out there for the view unless you enjoy the view of other businesses and a neighborhood street. But whatever. Bottom line, the food tasted good and didn't disappoint. Good solid service (can't speak to when it gets crazy busy). Star lost on the above comments, but otherwise I would definitely go there again. If anything I'm now curious of how their Kalua Pork is, comparatively speaking to what I know is good Kalua Pork.
