This was a shot in the dark gone right! We had a great lunch at Angels chicken. There were three of us. We ordered to share and sample and we did not walk away hungry. We tried the chicken sandwich, Mac n cheese side, 6 wings, and the frozen yogurt swirl with matcha and taiyaki with Nutella. The chicken sandwich was split between three of us. It is huge. We would have loved a knife to cut into it and make it eater friendly. They do not have knives unfortunately. No worries, the sandwich is great. The flavors go well together. It is messy bring a bib. The Mac n cheese as a side was good. It is creamy and has decent flavor. The wings were great. They had a great crunch. They were not greasy which is a big plus. We tried the lemon pepper rub, a bit salty, and the sweet and spicy sauce, sweet chili sauce really, and liked them both. The sweet and spicy was a standout and we used it on the really yummy waffle cut fries. The waffle cut fries were everyone's favorite item. Last is the one and vanilla swirl frozen yogurt with matcha dusted on top and the taiyaki with Nutella. This was my personal favorite. I don't even like Nutella. I hate that I feel compelled to write this because I generally do not write reviews h less they're positive or I had a really-not-great experience. I will start off by saying that the staff here is incredibly friendly and the flavors are good. However, it ends there for MY experience. My husband and I ordered chicken sandwiches to go, took them home (which took no more than 5 minutes). The sandwiches were basically cold. Now I know, this COULD have been from the drive home, but the chicken wasn't crunchy and it tasted stale. You can tell when something has been sitting under the heat lamp for a few hours (our sandwiches came out about two minutes after we order also, so that's another sign they were sitting out). Same with the fries. I took a few more bites because food is pricey these days (not a jab at their prices, but we can all agree that things are getting tight), and I just couldn't anymore. Closest spot I know in the area is the Korean equivalent at a market with limited hours or Somi-Somi in Bellevue. Would recommend trying the chicken sandwich (Angel Chi-Burger) if you do come since it's stacked and the chicken overflows from the sandwich, but otherwise I would only come back for the Taiyaki if I don't want to leave the Everett area. Angels chicken lived up to its expectations. I got to try the chicken burger combo with angels spicy sauce on the side, the 6 piece wings with the lemongrass and spicy teriyaki flavor, and the vanilla-ube soft serve. You order through self-kiosk and the restaurant is mostly self-service. The space is very open and has a lot of seating. For a newly owned restaurant, they know what they're doing. I thought the food was pretty good. My thoughts on the food: The chi-burger combo was huge!! The burger itself is very flavorful. It comes with a ton of waffle fries and a large drink. The waffles fries were good and crispy, but they got cold fast so after a bit it gets kinda hard. Honestly, if I were to come back I would just get the burger again. We had the six piece wings, and while they were nice and crispy it was not as good as the burger. The flavors did not stand out that much. I found the lemon in the lemon pepper too strong and while the wings were coated nicely with the spicy teriyaki sauce it did not stand out. Lastly, the soft serve was good. It was creamy, but I wish there was more ube in the swirl. Ours just tasted like vanilla and reminded me of a frosty. That matcha powder pairs nicely with the vanilla flavor. read more

This place came up on my social media and I was so pleasantly surprised to find it's only a mile away from me. I stopped in only for dessert, eyeing the menu from Yelp on the car ride there: upside down taiyaki cone (shown on the menu & advertised on the window) I went up to the register to order & pay in cash and the young lady was immediately rude. She didn't let me finish my order and assumed I wanted a soft serve with taiyaki on the side. And then in a very defensive manner, she said the upside down taiyaki cone wasn't available. Okay, I can understand if an item isn't available, but the attitude was very off putting and unwarranted. So I ordered just an ube vanilla swirl soft serve which was good. I was *REALLY* looking forward to becoming a regular here and trying the chicken next time but unfortunately after today's experience.. I won't be. So many places doing slightly different things. So many of them are really nailing it, too. Add Angel's to the list of top spots. Strips These are chunks of chicken, not the processed stuff that turns into paste at the factory before they shape it into nuggets or strips. You're eating breaded boneless pieces of real chicken. Great flavor, still plenty moist, nice seasoning, good crunch from the batter but still 98+% chicken. Would happily eat these any time of day but they do seem perfect for a lunch outdoors or a snack after having a few drinks. Mac n Cheese Bites These are little nuggets of chicken (real meat again!) breaded and fried, served under some really good mac. Noodles still have some tooth, the cheese is creamy and seems at least mostly real, some light seasoning flavors in there, too. We weren't even expecting chicken underneath and that just made it so much better. They sent some ranch for dipping the strips, and that seemed like just supermarket stuff. No house seasonings or scratch touches to it. I can always do without ranch, but most of these chicken places seem to want bragging rights for a good ranch on the side, and that just isn't here. Nothing bad about what it is, but you can find pretty much the exact same thing on any store shelf. So if you like ranch, you're fine, but if you're picky about it and want to be dazzled, you might have a little quibble here. Prices are good here, and everything showed up fast and in good shape. Both were just ok. The Angel Pasta was cooked well and not mushy but the chicken bites with it were pretty dry. If anything, I'd go back for their chicken wings. So first, my husband ordered a "COMBO" chi-burger that was on the menu that stated burger, waffle fries and fountain drink, but the lady on the counter REFUSED to give us the soda because the receipt did not have a soda in it....but the receipt state COMBO and we were charged for the price of a combo, so make it make sense. My husband ask twice and even pointed at the menu and she still refuse to give us the drink. Lol idc if she is a trainee, if a customer complained twice then ask the person training you! Have you ever had a chicken dog well I went to angel chicken and I had the best chicken dog I've ever had, well I have to say it's the first one that I've ever had .It had some kind of natural coleslaw on it that was absolutely wonderful. I've been excited for this place to open ever since I saw the "coming soon" sign. We stopped in around 8:30 Monday night and were the only ones there so we didn't feel rushed while navigating the menu. So soft and the ube flavor was wonderful. Maybe 5 minutes later, my husband's food and the taiyaki came out. His chicken sandwich was absolutely massive, the chicken could've easily been made into two sandwiches. It was also very delicious. Spicy but not overly spicy. The taiyaki were SO good. WAY more than I could eat. The burger is HUGE!! The chicken must have been 7-8" long. I cut it in half and was still too full for the mac. The chicken is breaded and fried but is not greasy. It's crispy and perfectly seasoned. The pickles and slaw make it deliciously messy. I only had a couple bites of the mac but it's pretty good too.
