My hubs and I stopped here on a dark and rainy night. We had just seen a performance of the Storyteller Nutcracker at the PUD auditorium and needed some dinner before heading back to Seattle. Saw this place got good yelps so we thought, why not? Well, I'm so glad we did because the sandwiches were delicious! I got the pork belly banh mi without the onion, spicy pickles, and chimichurri (it has dairy which I can't eat), and it was just PERFECT that way. Delish!!! My hubs got the Katsu Sando without onions and said it was one of the best sandwiches he'd ever had! We got our stuff to go and ate it in the car. We were sooooo satisfied after that we had to go in and thank the guy behind the counter and give him and his cooking partner some kudos. Well worth a visit. In a word - Excellent food and service. Seriously good food. A bit of a mystery how they can make the portions that size at that price. But it ain't just a LOT of food; it's a LOT of really good food. I had the Cubano. It had to weigh closer to 2 lbs. My wife had the birria banquette and loved it. Another in our party had a mushroom burger. The thing measured a good 4 1/2 inches high. The fries were delish with the chimichurri sauce. The service was friendly and gave you that fam-feel. The cook (owner) didn't like the way one of our times came together and remade it, then gave us the original; for free. Who does that? Visited the Funko pop store in Everett and stopped here for lunch. Wow! So good! We got the corn beef and tots bowl, chicken katsu sando and a Vietnamese coffee. The tots were nice and crispy, the lup cheong ( Chinese sausage) added a bit a sweetness to it. Really liked that.The chicken sando was a good sized crispy chicken filet inside a sliced baked bao bun. Thumbs up for that. We shared the meal and ended up pretty full. I loved this place so much I went back the next night! I was in Everett for a conference at the nearby Delta by Marriott and read about this place and it definitely lived up to its high ratings. The first night my friend and I split the Boss and an order of fries! The fries had intense garlic and cilantro flavor--so good. The burger had delicious Lebanese garlic sauce and the perfectly seasoned meat. Next day, I went with a different friend and we got the kreuben, which had a very tasty beef brisket and the loco moco and the tots, which were very crunchy. I prefer the fries over the sauce. I was worried the bao bun wld be too soft but it held up well. Definitely messy eating and we'll work the mess. My fav was the Boss then the Kreuben then Loco Moco. We were intrigued by the Yelp suggestion of this place. The menu looked like a unique fusion of Korean and American, food pics looked appetizing, plus they have good reviews. Why not? You'all, you have to try this place! They took fusion to a new level. From the bao buns instead of burger buns, to their own homemade sauces, to their Korean take on birria, they nailed it. They have a special where you can get 2 sandwiches and 2 small sides for $35. My partner got the Loco Moco and I got the Birria Baguette with the chimmichirri fries. Their chimmichurri is lovely, heavy on the garlic, which I prefer. My world changed when I bit into the Birria Baguette. The melding of flavors and textures that happened in my mouth was wonderful. I probably moaned out loud. The meat was tender and juicy, the raw onions brought a nice crunch, while the pickled onions brought sour to the table. The sauces melded together and complimented each other. I've never in my life had a sandwich like this, and neither has my partner. We were both sad when we had eaten the whole thing. I immediately thought to bring one home for our neighbor, and another for us to eat in the morning with eggs for breakfast. Alas, they were out of birria, and our flavor experience ended there. The friendly service from the counter guy was appreciated even as he let me know they were all out. The moco loco was good, interesting flavors and the bao bun was a fun break from traditional American burger buns. If you like curry go for it. I was in such a rush to dig in I forgot to get food pics but their coffee was the perfect way to end our meal. It's the perfect mix of coffee, milk, and mild sweetness. My husband and I have been driving by this place for months and we've been really curious about it. Recently, we finally had a chance to come in and try the food and we were very glad we did! I had the kimchee patty melt and my husband had the locco mocco burger. We also ordered a large side of tots. The first surprise was the tots. When they say large, they mean LARGE!!! The spice on the tots was great! Then came our burgers: Large, messy, and delicious!!! Bao Boss never disappoints! I've been here a few times now, and every visit has been just as good as the last. They have such diverse blends of flavors. Extremely creative and unique! This time, I went with the Spicy Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich again because it's just that good crispy, juicy chicken with the perfect kick of spice, balanced by those sweet and spicy pickles. The brioche bun ties it all together perfectly. I also grabbed an order of the Chimichurri Fries, which are always packed with flavor. The chimichurri sauce is fresh and adds a nice herby kick that makes them stand out from regular fries. In the past, I've had the Boss Burger, and let me tell you--it's a must-try! I have been wanting to stop here for the longest time and finally did last Friday. I got a variety of sandwiches, including the single Smashburger and the Korean hot fried chicken sandwich and the Cubano. I had a very nice conversation with the owner while the food is being prepared. I could watch the sandwich preparation from the cash register. I was very impressed with how fresh everything is and the artistry going on at the Grill. It's very obvious that the man preparing the food takes a lot of pride and care in what he's fixing. The sandwiches themselves are works of art and very, very generous. Next time I would get one sandwich and split it for two people. Everything I tried was fantastic, I did have about a 30 minute drive home so I would probably prefer to eat at the establishment next time and be able to consume the food while it's at its freshest. Even after a 30 minute ride, the Korean fried chicken sandwich was still very crispy and delicious. The Cubano was very good as well. I think the smash burger might be my favorite of the three. I will definitely stop by again and try something new and again given the size of the sandwiches split a single sandwich between two people. I will also add that the establishment is very very clean and while I stood waiting for my sandwiches, there was a constant stream of people coming to pick up their food they had ordered online and everybody engaged in conversation with the owner and everybody commented on how to die for good their last meal there was! So disappointed! I was ready to love this place! I got a to go order of a family meal, on the menu it says $35 for 2 sandwiches and 2 small sides. But for some reason once I ordered, the cost was $45 for the meal without the additional sauces that I got. So perhaps online cost is higher?? Ordered a pork bahn mi sandwich with fries and spicy Korean chicken sandwich with tots. Portions are HUGE which makes sense for the price. Pickles were yummy. Can't say that for anything else. Fries soggy with a weird sauce. And before you think to yourself, "of course they would be soggy by the time you get home". But let me tell you that I couldn't wait to have them and tried as soon as I picked up the order. Tots were crispy with some nice spice. So if trying to decide, I suggest to go with the tots. Pork bahn mi was flavorful but soaked in grease with a lot of pickled and raw onion. The sauce wasn't impressive and the meat was dry and salty. Too many good words to describe. First, a cute small building that is clean and new with outdoor seating...unlikely spot next to Mobile station but easy to access and a very nice modern ambiance. Owner/ chef super gracious. But most of all...the sandwiches! What?? A nice adventurous assorted menu! Soooo good. Fresh everything, fresh vegetables, ingredients and fresh baked Bao. I order the bacon smash burger very flavorful came with lots of onions and a little too much of their house made ketchup. But still very tasty! Wife ordered they spicy Korean fried chicken she said was very flavorful but a lil spicy for her taste. We got the mushroom burger, double stack, plain and bah m. Rated bestvto worst highest would be a 4. Buns fell very wet n fell apart and my sandwich actuall6 broke my tooth teying to bite into it...it was a braised pork belly so this dint make sense to me how that could happen but this is what I recieved. My child couldn't eat his. My h7sbands was so soggy he need a fork to even try to eat all of his and the pickles n recipes are way off of what they actually call them. Neither of us liked the double smash burger, in large part because we didn't like the bag bun. Been walking by this place several times and finally decided to try it. Not much to see from the street, nor inside, but is all about the food. Menu seems to get changed up occasionally, different than what was advertised on yelp. We were not disappointed. My co worker scarfed down his burger, said it was unexpectedly good and unique. I had the Kimchee melt on rye and it was awesome. Great twist on a classic Rubin. The chimichurri fries were a tasty twist. The service was very helpful and friendly. ambiance is basically nonexistent, obviously not a concern. There are three small tables inside and a covered patio, most of the service is for delivery and pickup, obviously not focused on eating in. I have looked at delivery before and DoorDash almost doubled the cost so I would recommend pickup. You will not be disappointed, great opportunity to push your tastebuds. I walked in here for the first time excited to try the food. I wanted the bah mi that they had but wasn't interested in the pork belly. They have several different meats on different sandwiches, (all of which are around the same price). Despite this, they would not allow any substitution other than for me to trade the meat for corn beef or an egg. LOL. The ingredients are top notch, meat is seared to perfection and the flavors are perfectly matched and playing off each other like a symphony. The menu offers an array of mild to wild options. There's classic smash burgers with the fixings all the way to the daring fusion inventions like a Korean Reuben sandwich. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The renovated space (due to a fire in May of '22) is bright and welcoming. There's even been an addition of an outdoor seating area. Korean Spicy chicken and the chicken slider were fried to a crisp burnt that the chicken was chewy and had a burned taste. Not edible..Disappointed because the Korean spicy chicken could've been so good if it was made with some love and seasoned right, not seasoned with burnt crust.
