We ordered to go using Uber Eats. This place did not disappoint. Even after getting it delivered everything was super fresh and cooked to perfection. The chicken fried rice and the chicken yakisoba were the best we have ever had anywhere and we have lived in a lot of different states. The spicy chicken was so good and was actually spicy, and the sweet and sour pork was so good. The orange chicken and sesame chicken were just okay, but everything else was so amazing we will always come here from now on! We ordered through UberEats and this was our first experience with JOA, so I can't really speak to ambiance or service, but the order was prepared promptly for pickup and delivery by Uber. We ordered Veggie Fried Rice, a bogo deal for Teriyaki Chicken and General Tso's Chicken, an extra side of white rice, and an order of Egg Rolls (not pictured). The fried rice had an alright/average taste and texture, but there was very low veggie/egg to rice ratio; the general chicken was dry with almost no sauce; the teriyaki chicken was a bit over cooked; the egg rolls were limp/ undercooked, and, as I found after a bite, are not vegetarian and do contain a white meat. I've only ordered takeout so I can't speak for the dining-in experience. I'm generally pleased with the food I get from here. I haven't specifically noticed the "microwave meal" issue that many others have mentioned in their reviews, but I'll be on the lookout for it in the future. My biggest issue are the sushi rolls. They seem like decent quality and they have a good selection of rolls, but the size of them doesn't make any sense. Typically, sushi rolls come with 8 pieces that are roughly bite size (or maybe a little larger than bite size). Joa offers 5 pieces of very large sushi. The result is that you eat them in two bites but the second bite is falling apart and is very frustrating and difficult to enjoy. I think it would serve them well to make the sushi rolls a bit smaller but longer. I don't mind a large roll, but as soon as it's too big to eat a piece in one bite then you've gone too far. I had originally put 3 stars but I downgraded it to 2 because the spider roll I got tonight was not good. The softshell crab felt like chewing on prawn tails and smelled a bit too much like ocean. Really disappointing way to waste $15. read more
