Also got the pork bulgogi with white rice and came with a mountain of pork and onion. Service 11/10 The cashier talked with us, gave recommendations, gave us a bunch of free sauce just so we could try everything out, super nice lady! Setting 10/10 Restaurant smelled great, the lights were a calm tone, the music was good and not distracting or loud, very nice menu with lots of options for picky eaters and more adept eaters as well. read more

CANNOT REPORT ON THE FOOD AS OUR PARTY OF 15 was turned away on my husband's birthday even though they were open for another hour and a half. We raved about this place to everyone in our party bc we frequent the other location further South. We thought they were owned by the same people but they are not. We had to scramble to find another location to celebrate my husband's birthday dinner after his party. Luckily, the restaurant across the parking lot was more than accommodating and we had the very best time. They did not shy away from our big group and even sang Happy Birthday and brought my husband dessert. It turned into a party and several of the people said they will be back to that place. It's been a few years since I tried Sodam for the first time when they first launched their store in Shoreline I think it was? At the time I was unable to eat anything fried so my husband ate the chicken with his friends while I sat around picking at the fried rice. We were surprised to find out there was a Sodam near where we moved to so we definitely had to try it out! I don't remember but I felt like the chicken pieces were tiny here when we ate them. Not enough meat on the bones. I liked the Mango Taiwan Beer they had available chilled and the sauces were delicious but yea, the size of the actual chicken was kind of disappointing. Normally I would rate this review 3 stars but I have to say, the Rose dukkbokki and the customer service was great! The lady up front was sweet and funny to chat with and I was craving something chewy and I don't think I've had rose dukkbokki before but it was delicious! I was excited to try this place but left underwhelmed. My Gold boneless chicken wings were dry and unseasoned, and the accompanying sauces came in very small containers. I accidentally ordered the topoki because my dumb ass forgot how to say "tokkochi" (rice cakes on skewers). This was fine, because I do like topoki, but, for $14.99, I wish it came with more rice cakes than it did. I may give them one more try. Then again, I might not. Impulsive stop turned pleasant surprise! Food: (4/5) My partner and I were grabbing cookies at a spot directly across the parking lot from this Korean friend chicken spot so we decided to give it a try. We got the golden and soy garlic chicken as takeout and were both shocked by how good it was. We have a decent amount of Korean chicken places near us so it's quite competitive. I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but it definitely exceeded our expectations. I liked the golden more than the soy garlic, but I tend to gravitate towards plain wings when it comes to Korean chicken because I don't participate enjoy their sweet flavor profile. Although the chicken is on the smaller side, the outside was both friend and seasoned well and the inside was tender and not dry at all. My partner enjoyed the soy garlic flavor and almost cleared them all by himself. I'm curious to try their shrimp chicken next time because I've never heard of something like that. Service: (5/5) We came in pretty late at night and close to closing. There was maybe one other family in there and one girl working the front counter. She was very nice and accommodating when my partner and I took a bit too long looking at the menu (we're indecisive people). The food and service (woman at the front) is great! She is super sweet and friendly. Food is solid for the price and quality. I'm gonna keep it at 5 stars for those two reasons alone. The one problem is every-time I've ordered, they have forgotten something. The first time it was my drink and the sauce (paid $2 just for the sauce), the second time they forgot the sauce again, and the third time they forgot the rice for each order and sauce for the eggrolls. I'm gonna keep the 5 stars hoping they still see this and take a little bit more time to verify each order more carefully. I'm definitely going to keep coming here, I just don't want to pay for something I didn't get. read more

I ordered to go and it wasn't a long wait even if they're quite busy, I've been to this exact place when it used to be a Filipino restaurant, they've updated the place and looks nice and welcoming, it feels like a place you'd like to take your friends to hangout. The staff are very pleasant, too. The chicken and cucumber salad is really good, made the way I like it. Definitely going back to try more. Four stars for now since I haven't tried everything yet. We also ordered the yakisoba and thought the time we had it at the shoreline location, it had better flavor. Hoping since it's still in the soft opening phase, it will get better. We did a pick up order and since the bag was stapled, we didn't think to check inside. We regretted it when we got home because although it was written on the receipt, there was no sauce in the bag. I came back to this place to try their chicken and although we were first hesitant at the high prices I was soon proven wrong when the food came out. The prices are completely justified because each chicken wing is massive and compared to a lot of other chicken wing places I've tried this is superior. I know a lot of people say you die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain. But I feel like a hero and I could die like this after trying sodam chicken. If you ever come here, be sure to eat their chicken. The flavor on the chicken is magnificent. It's a perfect balance between sweet and spicy and it's not too overpowering where I can't taste the flavor of the chicken. The layer of skin is crunchy but not so thick that it's 50% of the chicken. A lot of other chicken places have 90% flour and 10% chicken but that wasn't the case with this place. Around 12 pieces was enough to fill me up so I would say it's a good deal. I'd frequent their Shoreline location, so I was glad to hear of an even closer one opening near me. Their opening week had a 20% promo, which we took advantage of. Staff were nice and eager to see all their new patrons. My go to is their bone in hot bbq and flavor was consistent to Shoreline's luckily! Colelslaw and radish were good and included with your chicken order, but the container is so tiny. Their restaurant is located in a plaza so parking is easy but also can be busy. Seating inside is limited - maybe 5-6 tables, but that didn't matter to us since we just did take out. I anticipate they will do well in Everett :) read more

She also told us that if we're wanted to order it would take a really long time to get our food cause they're out of a lot of stuff. We didn't care and ordered anyway. Our food came it in decent time. We got the lunch special ($13.99 on 10/18/25) and a side order of fries ($6.99). I chose the 5 piece chicken wings with two sides. I got golden fried, mandu, and rice. The fries could have been cooked a little longer, but were still good. But, oh my goodness the lunch I got was scrumptious! I love their fried chicken. It's crunchy and flavorful. My friend got a lunch special as well with boneless chicken with gangjung sauce, mandu, and spring rolls. She said her sauce was too sweet and needed a little spice to balance it out. I did get a side of the hot bbq and it was a good amount of spice! Our meal also came with a soda. I went with my friend their first week of opening, and everything we had was yummy. We had 3 flavors of bone-in wings (sorry I can't remember the flavors, but all were yummy). We both loved their daikon side and I tried the spicy bulgogi (lunch item) that was really good as well. We got a discount for coming in during their soft opening, so we didn't spend that much:) give them a try! The girl helping us was present and answered our questions fine. I saw this place when I was sitting at a red light decided I needed to try it. I'm so glad I did! It took a little time to figure out what to get but I finally decided on gangjung boneless chicken. It was outstanding (not to mention gorgeous) and such a good value for the money! I also got a side of coleslaw and liked it so much I purchased some extra to take home. Next time I want to try the gold chicken w some sauces, looking for more heat. I was served water in a stainless steel carafe with a nice glass. The restaurant was very clean, the young gal who took our order was extremely nice and helpful. Am definitely going back soon!! read more

Great service, deliciously prepared food! I love this place and I will definitely be coming again! The appetizers were sooo yummy, and the fried chicken was outstanding. Especially enjoyed the boneless wings even though I usually go for bone-in style. The dipping sauces were incredible and so savory! I had to try several. Highly recommend this fun eating establishment. I see there are two other locations: one in Seattle and one in Shoreline. And apparently it's a very popular chicken place in South Korea as well! Ordered a full boneless Half Shrimp, Half Chicken dish To-Go at 5:37PM on Saturday (10/11) , there were no other customers in the store beside my mother who ordered a boneless Half 'n' Half of the Gold Fried Chicken and the Yangnyeon chicken along with the curry fried rice. We didn't get our food until 6:26PM, nearly 50 minutes later than the time we ordered. There was no warning that it'd take that long to cook anything and when we started asking for updates at the half hour mark the cashier had none to provide. For a to-go order I don't expect to spend nearly an hour in shop waiting for the food; at that point we should've just been an in house diner. They also messed up the order when it finally came out and my mom's half 'n' half were both boned rather than boneless as requested. Overall, with the lackluster customer service, the amount of time for food prep, and the mess up on the order made this was a very crappy impression of the Sodam Chicken. An expensive, $33 a plate mess up for the half 'n' half and an overall waste of time. If the food is going to take forever, a warning to the guests would be appreciated. It manages time expectations and allows us to find other ways to fill it over sitting at one the empty tables of a restaurant we were once excited for. It's also called being considerate. However, when I checked the receipt, I noticed that the tip amount I selected (15%) was different from the one shown at the bottom of the receipt. It seems that the tip was calculated including tax.
