Gold boneless chicken wings, topoki, sides

I was excited to try this place but left underwhelmed. My Gold boneless chicken wings were dry and unseasoned, and the accompanying sauces came in very small containers. I accidentally ordered the topoki because my dumb ass forgot how to say "tokkochi" (rice cakes on skewers). This was fine, because I do like topoki, but, for $14.99, I wish it came with more rice cakes than it did. I may give them one more try. Then again, I might not. My phone order was ready in the stated timeframe of 15 minutes and the counter person was pleasant.

Impulsive stop turned pleasant surprise! Food: (4/5) My partner and I were grabbing cookies at a spot directly across the parking lot from this Korean friend chicken spot so we decided to give it a try. We got the golden and soy garlic chicken as takeout and were both shocked by how good it was. We have a decent amount of Korean chicken places near us so it's quite competitive. I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but it definitely exceeded our expectations. I liked the golden more than the soy garlic, but I tend to gravitate towards plain wings when it comes to Korean chicken because I don't participate enjoy their sweet flavor profile. Although the chicken is on the smaller side, the outside was both friend and seasoned well and the inside was tender and not dry at all. My partner enjoyed the soy garlic flavor and almost cleared them all by himself. I'm curious to try their shrimp chicken next time because I've never heard of something like that. Service: (5/5) We came in pretty late at night and close to closing. There was maybe one other family in there and one girl working the front counter. She was very nice and accommodating when my partner and I took a bit too long looking at the menu (we're indecisive people). My partner asked her a few questions and she helped us through all of them. Thank you!

I ordered to go and it wasn't a long wait even if they're quite busy, I've been to this exact place when it used to be a Filipino restaurant, they've updated the place and looks nice and welcoming, it feels like a place you'd like to take your friends to hangout. The staff are very pleasant, too. The chicken and cucumber salad is really good, made the way I like it. Definitely going back to try more. Four stars for now since I haven't tried everything yet. And I love how big the menu on the wall is.

We had it once in shoreline and was so excited to see one open in Everett! However, we thought the food was better at the shoreline location. We also ordered the yakisoba and thought the time we had it at the shoreline location, it had better flavor. Hoping since it's still in the soft opening phase, it will get better. We did a pick up order and since the bag was stapled, we didn't think to check inside. We regretted it when we got home because although it was written on the receipt, there was no sauce in the bag. Lesson learned to always double check! Wings were good and the onion rings were delicious! Would have been better with the sauce but would still visit again in the future.

I came back to this place to try their chicken and although we were first hesitant at the high prices I was soon proven wrong when the food came out. The prices are completely justified because each chicken wing is massive and compared to a lot of other chicken wing places I've tried this is superior. I know a lot of people say you die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain. But I feel like a hero and I could die like this after trying sodam chicken. If you ever come here, be sure to eat their chicken. The flavor on the chicken is magnificent. It's a perfect balance between sweet and spicy and it's not too overpowering where I can't taste the flavor of the chicken. The layer of skin is crunchy but not so thick that it's 50% of the chicken. A lot of other chicken places have 90% flour and 10% chicken but that wasn't the case with this place. Around 12 pieces was enough to fill me up so I would say it's a good deal. If I could I would rate this place 4.5 stars.

Customer service sucks. The girl upfront doesn't smile and was dropping dishes and silverware into the dish bin while bussing tables. She also told us that if we're wanted to order it would take a really long time to get our food cause they're out of a lot of stuff. We didn't care and ordered anyway. Our food came it in decent time. We got the lunch special ($13.99 on 10/18/25) and a side order of fries ($6.99). I chose the 5 piece chicken wings with two sides. I got golden fried, mandu, and rice. The fries could have been cooked a little longer, but were still good. But, oh my goodness the lunch I got was scrumptious! I love their fried chicken. It's crunchy and flavorful. My friend got a lunch special as well with boneless chicken with gangjung sauce, mandu, and spring rolls. She said her sauce was too sweet and needed a little spice to balance it out. I did get a side of the hot bbq and it was a good amount of spice! Our meal also came with a soda. I'd give this place a higher rating if it was for the gal up front. Go try Sodam chicken!

Chicken! I got half bone -in and half boneless.

We were greeted as we entered and had access to the menus right away, as they are placed at the entrance. We got seated and were able to order quickly. We came at a non-peak time so we were at the front of the queue so to speak. The restaurant is very clean. The bathrooms are also very clean, which I love to see. It shows me the business really cares about how it comes across. Our food was prepared and served very fast. My friend was still in the restroom by the time it had come. As you can see from the image, my Japchaebap was awesome. (Order with tofu if you're vegan) I got mild spice just because I am sensitive to *too much* spice. But as someone who enjoys spice I couldn't really perceive it. So if you have a good spice tolerance I'd suggest you up the spice one more level than you would think. The flavoring was great, but I don't really like the noodle texture. I prefer them with more weight. It was a slight challenge getting them onto the fork, and it being stable enough to put into your mouth. Just something to consider when choosing your dish. I'm still glad I chose to experience the dish. Maybe I'll learn to like this style of noodle. Special note if you're vegan too: the kimchi has shellfish, so skip any menu items with the asterisks that have kimchi in the ingredients. Thankfully my friends caught that because I would've missed it as it's below another note.

Food came out quick, though we went for lunch during a work day so we were the only ones eating there. My friend got the kalbi (I thought it wasted ok) and I got the bulgogi which lacked flavor and there definitely wasn't enough rice to eat with the dish. We also got the egg rolls which were ok. For the price, you'd think they would be bigger or there would be more egg rolls. Overall, food was ok. I may be back to try other menu items.

We ordered the kimchi pancake, short rib soup with potatoes and glass noodles, and fried beef brisket (spice level 2/4). The kimchi pancake was overly breaded and tasted like it had been fried in reused oil. The short rib soup was the safest dish of the night, but the beef was still chewy rather than tender, the glass noodles were minimal, and the broth was extremely salty with a noticeable MSG-like taste. The fried beef brisket was heavily sauced, overly salty, and far spicier than a mild level should be. The beef itself tasted far from fresh and was very tough to chew. The appetizers were among the most basic I've seen at any Korean restaurant in the Greater Seattle area. Even then, the kimchi lacked depth and tasted unfresh, with sourness that felt more like age than proper fermentation. What made the experience even stranger was when the server asked how everything was. We tried to respond politely, and the server simply said, "I'm with you." Korean food is not rare in this area, and the prices here are on the higher side. With that context, the quality is difficult to justify. To be fair, the space is decent for group gatherings, large space, and the staff were friendly. But food is the most basic standard for a restaurant, and unfortunately it fell far below expectations. I genuinely don't understand how this place has such high ratings.

GC is tucked into one of the smallest suites you can imagine here; there's retail a short hop away that must be over 20K square feet, but here there's space for maybe 6 stools at the little counters. You have to turn sideways (not kidding) to read the menu. It's simple--a few proteins, served a few different ways, also available as combos. Most of their business is to-go orders. There's a cooler of pops and a couple sports drinks, and there's lovely classical music on the speakers somewhere. I listened to a pretty sonata for piano and string quartet while I waited and ate. The lady is super nice, a woman of few words and constant activity. She's answering the phone, grabbing online orders, and smiling at walk-ins. I got a pop and the spicy chicken combo. There's Sriracha on the counter. The miso was solid, and the salad had a little more than the usual iceberg and shreds in it. Some leaf lettuce, too! The chicken is super moist and nicely flavorful, but even getting the Spicy I still hit the Sriracha pretty hard. Amazing flavor and texture even without the scoring from the grill. I ate more than half of it before it occurred to me that some smoky grillness might be nice, so nothing's missing here. The rice is soft and chewy, solid light flavor, plenty of moisture still in it. Fresh made for sure. Prices here are right in line with everybody else. Looks like their KFC is a big hit and I might have to be back for that.
