I've never had food from Guam before, so when I saw the name of this place in the mall on Google maps, "Guam Grub," I was curious. We weren't sure if it was open because no one was there, but as we walked up to the counter there was a sign that said to ring a bell for service, so we rang the bell, and a friendly lady came out. The prices for the plates seemed a bit high, so my partner and I opted to split a plate. What's cool is that the menu had a long list of sides that were included with the plates, so I was excited to try all of it since it was my first time having this type of cuisine. We ordered the chicken plate, hoping for the best. When the order was ready, we took it to-go so we could nosh at the beach. It felt heavy so I had high hopes. Once at the beach, I opened up the container and holy moly there was a MOUND of what looked like a scrumptious variety of food! And guess what... everything was scrumptious. I really wish I took a photo of the menu so I could identify what I ingested, but I enjoyed it all. The chicken looked a lot like Hawaiian chicken and was just as good. Big hefty pieces. There was some green maybe pickled zucchini or cucumber. Delicious. There was some chopped meat (chicken?) that had pleasantly unique, vinegary notes. I gotta find out what that is. Oh there was like a fried ball of dough with veggies and shrimp in it. There were even more sides I can't remember but I know I loved. The plate was more than enough for my partner and I- and we are big eaters. The price was worth it in quantity and flavor. I really want to come back here but I heard the mall is going to have renovations soon and I'm not sure they'll still exist. I hope Guam Grub persists because I need to go again. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for months now. I finally got here today and there was no line! It was at the fast food area of the Everett Mall. At first I thought it was closed because the metal containers that housed each food type was fully covered and it was dark. We waited for a bit and a nice lady served us. She was really friendly and identified each item on the fiesta platter that we ordered. It didn't disappoint. It was delicious. 10/10 recommend the owner of this business Julita is sooo friendly and the food she makes is sooo amazing! My family and I are here visiting and back home there isn't much Chamorro food unless we have a family gathering so coming here and eating this amazing woman's food that she makes all by herself reminds me of being at my grandma's with the whole family. The shrimp patties, lumpia, and empanadas were to dieeeee for! The chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection! The kelaguen and cucumber fina'dene was the perfect combo! More like 3.5 stars but I'll give it 4 bc the lady behind the counter was so nice. I was excited to try this place based on the high reviews and bc I never tried Guam food. Tucked in a mall food court, this stand certainly stands out from the typical food court stand. We ordered a fiesta plate and a bbq rib plate. Overall the food was pretty good - the sides definitely stand out as more flavorful and unique. I really liked the rice. The actual meat however was bland and really tough. The ribs were so dry; chicken definitely more juicy. And the meat was so light- definitely needed some sauce for flavoring. And I'm someone who does NOT like too much seasoning. Overall this is a cool place to try Guam food but I'm not sure I would come back. Sadly just lackluster for me. read more

Everytime I wanted to try Guam Grub it's been closed the times I went but today was the day that I finally got to try it out! Located in the food court of Everett Mall, so it's pretty lowkey but you won't regret coming at all!! The lady who took my order was super nice and her service was great! She had multiple customers and it looked like she was working alone but she was calm and collected and made sure all her customers were taken cared of! First time here so the menu was a little confusing to me but I decided to try the Fiesta Plate, which came with a little of everything from the menu. You get two scoop of red rice and a scoop of potato salad to eat with all the proteins that you get, my favorite was their chicken thigh! It was well marinated, juicy and had a little nice charred from the grill. It also came with a spicy soy sauce/vinegar sauce to dip your protein with, and also a side of pickled cucumber which had a nice acidity that works well with the salty protein! The servings are more than two can eat, and that brings the pricing in line with other restaurants. It is located in the Everett Mall. This is a family run restaurants and for some reason, it makes the food taste that much better. We had a fiesta plate which included rice, lumpia, chicken crab cake, beef ribs and cucumber salad along with dipping sauces. I cucumber salad is marinated in a light vinegar sauce that has just enough bite to add flavor. The cucumber salad marinate sauce also doubles as a dipping sauce. There are many items to try and I think the Fiesta plate allows you to experience most of them. The service is very friendly and efficient, just the way I like it. When we first went, we were in line and we actually ended up turning around because their plate food was packaged into styrofoam container. Great customer service. Everyone was very friendly and were happy to answer any questions customers had. Food was good. The chicken and ribs have great flavor. The sides that come with the plates were pretty good too. They have a handful of other things on their menu other than the plates but they sell out pretty quickly including weekdays so it's best to come when they first open (11am). I'm planning to come back to try the other sides I didn't get to try as well as the desserts. I'll post an update when I do. It's located inside the Everett mall food court. It's definitely better than typical food court food but you will get the same quick service convenience. Pricing is reasonable too. The portions are a good size and they give you lots of sides. This place is incredibly disorganized and unprofessional. I made a doordash order and selected pickup. Doordash gave me a pickup time and I get there, and there is literally no one in line but three people waiting nearby. Not only did they NOT have my food ready but I was told it would be a 45 minute wait. I proceeded to cancel my order on the app and I left. I have had issues with this place before when trying to place an order for delivery which is why I selected pickup this time. They need to stop accepting doordash orders if they're going to take hours for people to get their food! This place really needs to get their act together. We tried Guam Grub not long after they opened. We've never had Guamian food and we were not disappointed! We ordered a little bit of everything to share. The chicken was flavorful. The sides of red rice and pancit perfectly complemented the main dish. The ribs were tender and well seasoned. Our order also included some shrimp & veggie "fritters" which were amazing. The staff was super friendly and gave us generous portions. I love that this is a family-owned small business and not a big chain. Negatives are that they didn't have plastic knives, which would have been real helpful for the bone-olin chicken and ribs, and the food was a little cold. Not your average food court restaurant. Guam Grub offers ALL of the favorite fiesta foods. Getting the fiesta plate is more than enough to feed 2 people. The shrimp patties are dense but fluffy and fully cooked all the way through. Tamåles gisu were PIKA (hot/spicy), so if you like the heat it's for you. The chicken kelaguen had a good heat too so watch out for those hot peppers. My favorite side topper is the cucumber/daigu kimchi. I'm a fan of spice, they didn't have empanadas this time as it was the end of the day but those are hot as well. Red rice was flavorful, bbq chicken and ribs were marinated just like home cooking. Lumpia had a good amount of flavor and the crunch you'd want when biting in. It was really great to see King Carr Lemon Tea available too. So glad to finally have a Guamanian restaurant in the Seattle area. Yes, it's in Everett but it's worth the drive. Located close to the door to the food court, we were greeted with "Hafa Adai". We had a Fiesta plate and a Chicken plate, basically the same plate except Fiesta gets 1 BBQ spare rib and 1 BBQ chicken while the Chicken plate gets 2 chicken pieces. You get red rice, pancit, lumpia, shrimp ball and kelaguen and, of course, finadene sauce. You also get a choice of Daigo/kimchi side or cucumber in finadene. This is very authentic Guamanian taste, like being back on the island. The chicken and ribs were marinated in finadene very well, my guess is overnight. Also had the Chamorro empanada. It was a little greasy, but it tasted great with just the right spiciness. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Not bad, not bad. I'm not a Guamie, but you'd think I am with all who surround me. With that being said, I've been spoiled with the grub ever since ever since. Unfortunately covid put a huge damper on a lot of events so not getting the good eats as much as before. Although that's a good thing for my waistline, it's difficult cuz I have more cravings now that I'm not getting it on the regular. Guam Grub will be able to help with those cravings. Their plates are a good size and I definitely could not even finish mine, but that also might have been cuz I was saving room for the empanada. The BBQ rib was good, but not without the fina'dene'. The chicken kelaguen was yummy as was the red rice (although I got spoiled with spam in mine from my friends, but I realize spam is worth gold now). The potato salad and the pancit were OK. We also ordered dessert, banana lumpia, which was ok as well. My fave was definitely the empanada which I would totally go back for... Unless one of my friends called and said they were having the same thing. So, for someone who's had authentic Guam eats, Guam Grub isn't bad.
