chicken fiesta plate

10/10 recommend the owner of this business Julita is sooo friendly and the food she makes is sooo amazing! My family and I are here visiting and back home there isn't much Chamorro food unless we have a family gathering so coming here and eating this amazing woman's food that she makes all by herself reminds me of being at my grandma's with the whole family. The shrimp patties, lumpia, and empanadas were to dieeeee for! The chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection! The kelaguen and cucumber fina'dene was the perfect combo! And you can't everrrr have a Chamorro plate without the red rice and potato salad which was also superrrr good! If you're ever in the area I highly recommend trying everything bc it was so delicious. Also wanna note that she makes fiesta Chamorro food not no fusion haole place so you know it's authentic and delicious!

More like 3.5 stars but I'll give it 4 bc the lady behind the counter was so nice. I was excited to try this place based on the high reviews and bc I never tried Guam food. Tucked in a mall food court, this stand certainly stands out from the typical food court stand. We ordered a fiesta plate and a bbq rib plate. Overall the food was pretty good - the sides definitely stand out as more flavorful and unique. I really liked the rice. The actual meat however was bland and really tough. The ribs were so dry; chicken definitely more juicy. And the meat was so light- definitely needed some sauce for flavoring. And I'm someone who does NOT like too much seasoning. Overall this is a cool place to try Guam food but I'm not sure I would come back. Sadly just lackluster for me.

Everytime I wanted to try Guam Grub it's been closed the times I went but today was the day that I finally got to try it out! Located in the food court of Everett Mall, so it's pretty lowkey but you won't regret coming at all!! The lady who took my order was super nice and her service was great! She had multiple customers and it looked like she was working alone but she was calm and collected and made sure all her customers were taken cared of! First time here so the menu was a little confusing to me but I decided to try the Fiesta Plate, which came with a little of everything from the menu. You get two scoop of red rice and a scoop of potato salad to eat with all the proteins that you get, my favorite was their chicken thigh! It was well marinated, juicy and had a little nice charred from the grill. It also came with a spicy soy sauce/vinegar sauce to dip your protein with, and also a side of pickled cucumber which had a nice acidity that works well with the salty protein! I also ordered their Turon(banana lumpia) those were crispy, sweet and delicious! Overall, I'm defiantly coming back next time and even thinking catering from them in the future too!

I am not sure, but I have never had food from Guam, but I will tell you, go try it. Do not look at the prices and think, oh my. The servings are more than two can eat, and that brings the pricing in line with other restaurants. It is located in the Everett Mall. This is a family run restaurants and for some reason, it makes the food taste that much better. We had a fiesta plate which included rice, lumpia, chicken crab cake, beef ribs and cucumber salad along with dipping sauces. I cucumber salad is marinated in a light vinegar sauce that has just enough bite to add flavor. The cucumber salad marinate sauce also doubles as a dipping sauce. There are many items to try and I think the Fiesta plate allows you to experience most of them. The service is very friendly and efficient, just the way I like it. It is definitely a place to try because it is different and very tasty and not so different that one might shy away from trying everything on the menu.

Food is delicious, flavors takes me back home. The rice took me by surprise, I thought I'm not gonna like it but surprisingly delicious. The ribs well marinated and cooked well. And the salad and sides are good, too. Can't wait to try the rest of the food on their menu. Service is amazing.

Great customer service. Everyone was very friendly and were happy to answer any questions customers had. Food was good. The chicken and ribs have great flavor. The sides that come with the plates were pretty good too. They have a handful of other things on their menu other than the plates but they sell out pretty quickly including weekdays so it's best to come when they first open (11am). I'm planning to come back to try the other sides I didn't get to try as well as the desserts. I'll post an update when I do. It's located inside the Everett mall food court. It's definitely better than typical food court food but you will get the same quick service convenience. Pricing is reasonable too. The portions are a good size and they give you lots of sides. If you're at the mall or in the area, I recommend trying this place out.

Guam plate....yuuuuuuum!

Great island hospitality, comfort food for the soul and that you won't forget and a sense of community like you are familia. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

If you're missing the flavors of Guam, THIS is the place to satisfy your cravings. Guam Grub serves everything I've been missing about food from home. The menu is perfect. Not overwhelming, straight to the point. We got the "Fiesta Plate" which had red rice, bbq ribs & chicken, pancit, shrimp patty and wonderful (just the right amount) sides of potato salad & chicken kelaguen just to name a few. We also got the ultimate "omg I miss eating Chamorro food so bad" empanadas! YES, those empanadas. Their customer service was also amazing. The wonderful face behind it all greeted us with open arms and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back for more! Thank you, Guam Grub for bringing a taste of home to Washington!

Neni Plate (kids plate): chicken, lumpia, red rice, pancit. So good!!!

We tried Guam Grub not long after they opened. We've never had Guamian food and we were not disappointed! We ordered a little bit of everything to share. The chicken was flavorful. The sides of red rice and pancit perfectly complemented the main dish. The ribs were tender and well seasoned. Our order also included some shrimp & veggie "fritters" which were amazing. The staff was super friendly and gave us generous portions. I love that this is a family-owned small business and not a big chain. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some of the foods that they had run out of.

Let me tell you about Lew's BBQ. Or as my husband and I now call it BBQ from the Loo. And before…read moreyou ask yes. It earned that name. Every single letter of it. This place had every opportunity to be the holy grail of down-home BBQ. The kind of spot you drag yourself to when you're too lazy to fire up your own grill but still want to feel like a person with standards. Instead it delivered something far more memorable: profound disappointment wrapped in a paper napkin. The potential was there. The execution? Somewhere between 'bless their heart' and 'what in the actual hell.' We drove from Sultan for this. SULTAN. On a Wednesday. Like optimistic idiots with functioning taste buds and unreasonable hope. We walked in at 3pm to a dining room so empty it felt like a crime scene missing the chalk outline. Not 'peaceful Wednesday afternoon' empty. Not 'hidden gem that hasn't been discovered yet' empty. More like 'did someone die here' empty. The kind of empty that should've been a sign. It was a sign. We ignored it. Now. The meat. OH. THE MEAT. Buried under sauce and not in a 'this is so fire we had to' way. More of a 'if we cover it completely maybe God won't see what we did' situation. Spoiler: God saw. WE saw. The meat was dry lifeless and deeply confused about what year it was. That BBQ had the energy of someone who already put their coat on to leave the party an hour ago but somehow ended up on your plate anyway. The whole meal arrived in to-go containers with plastic forks. Plastic. Forks. The kind that bend before the meat does. I mentioned I'd take leftovers to go. I did not mean 'serve my entire dine-in experience like a sad airport meal.' Nothing says 'welcome to our restaurant' like eating off disposable everything while sitting in an actual building with actual chairs. Now here's where it gets spiritual. A mystery cup of mac and cheese appeared at our table. Uninvited. Unannounced. Like an uninvited relative at Thanksgiving. We thought how sweet! A little gesture! A sample! The universe providing! Narrator: The universe was charging $3.95. That mac and cheese which based on its journey to our table had clearly seen some things. Wasn't terrible but wasn't exceptional. Showed up on the bill. For four bites of mediocre mac that nobody ordered. A complimentary charge. And THEN like the plot needed one more twist when you go to pay on the counter there's a handwritten sign informing you of a $2 per plate/platter upcharge for 'product costs.' No prices on the menu. None. This isn't a scavenger hunt Lew. We're not on a BBQ treasure map. We're hungry people who would like to know what things cost before we eat them. The bill: $95. NINETY. FIVE. DOLLARS. For reheated meat, collard greens and a mac and cheese I did not order but apparently spiritually owed. I still tipped $10. Not out of satisfaction. Out of the deep social paralysis that will haunt me until I die. Look I want Black-owned soul food spots to WIN. Full stop. I am ROOTING for you Lew. But you cannot hide dry confused reheated meat under enough sauce to drown a brisket charge $95 for the experience. You cannot. BBQ from the Loo. I drove from Sultan for this. I will not be back. But I WILL be telling everybody.

When we went on a weekend, it was very quiet, too quiet, with moderate business and perhaps five tables occupied. This is our fourth West African restaurant in this area; all but one are a bit rough around the edges. The male server spoke only to my husband, despite me initiating the conversation and placing the order. Hello, the 21st century is calling! The food takes a while to be ready; they all do for some reason. This time we waited half an hour with a near empty restaurant. If you are hungry, order an appetizer. Generally speaking, the food is good, and the portions are generous. The Food: Dibi Afra or Grilled Lamb, $26.99 - 4.5 Stars Menu: Popular SeneGambian street food. Meat marinated in authentic heritage seasonings and char-grilled served with onions, spicy mustard, and salad. There is something comforting about a giant pile of chopped lamb, fantastically seasoned, served with onions and an excellent salad. I packed 2/3 of the lamb and onions to take home. Grilled Golden Pompano, $25.99 - 5 Stars Menu: Whole Golden Pompano either grilled or fried marinated with heritage seasonings The fish is perfectly grilled. The fried plantain, a pleasant surprise as it was not mentioned on the menu, was wonderfully fried. Both salads are superb too. Beef Fataya or Meat Pie, $9.99 - 3 Stars Menu: Savory Empanadas (3) with choice chicken, beef, seafood or vegetarian We order meat pies from all four West African restaurants we visited. This is the first time where the beef tasted wasn't seasoned or flavorful enough to eat by itself without sauce. Rather disappointed. Jollof Rice side, $9.99 - 4 Stars Ever since the first West African restaurant we visited told us jollof rice recipe is every family and every restaurant's secret, I have made it my mission to order it at every restaurant. I took a close-up photo to show the seasonings in the rice. Theirs is very good, and I'm glad they offer it as a side.

I can say we were all pretty disappointed in this place. The staff was the only positive that we took away from this experience. Both servers that we encountered were both kind and attentive. The drinks and food however totally missed the marks. We all started off with drinks 2 margaritas, a gin gimlet and a beer between the four of us. The margaritas were terrible, like I am not sure how they put them as a feature drink. They had zero jalapeños and also offered no spicy margarita whatsoever. My wife's gin gimlet tasted like straight up lime juice. All were complete misses. Next we moved on to the food where each couple ordered a dozen wings. The X's and O's( fries and onion rings) and we also ordered a wedge salad. The wedge salad came out and idk how it was marketed as wedge when it was a bowl of salad completely engulfed in dressing(closer to soup than salad). Next the fries and onion rings came out and I'm not usually a stickler for what things cost, but $17 for like 6 onion rings and a very sad plate of fries. We expected a bit more for what we ordered for the table. Lastly the wings. While the flavoring of the wings were good, they came out not too warm to the touch and biting into them they were cold on the inside. Concerned that we may get sick from uncooked meat they assured us that they were precooked and just dropped into the fryer to finish them off. To me it is concerning that though they were precooked and still missed on hearing them all way, you may need to have a chat with your kitchen. Both of the servers were on top of it and ran both dozens back to have our order recooked. Second time around they were hot and crispy with good flavor(although the garlic boom boom wings were missing one of the sauces the second time around). It didn't matter, we ate them and paid. Not sure we will put this on our revisit list. Maybe the burgers or flatbread were the way to go, but out of 3 menu items and even the drinks.... There needs to be much more effort to everything here...

The sauce for my spicy wontons tasted like its been sitting in cornstarch and flavor for a bit, and the clams I had was a confusing flavor.
