First ever visit, too pricey OK food- pricey for the quality, don't expect a wow. We 4 (2adults,2kids under 12) ate 4 items ($$$) Beer- both time the mugs were chilled and beer was awesome so 10/10 on that. Parking is usually free but today the public parking was reserves at $20 due to an event, which was an add on too for 1.5 hrs Service does get slow sometimes (I felt the staff shortage for serving) Ambiance is near pier, not right on the water as everybody share, at least our poo top table in the middle had no booth separation to enjoy the meal, felt more like Ikea kitchen but triple in prices. Place is clean. Fish tacos was ok, fries smelled weird Chicken burger, extra $ for sweet potato fries - were soggy Mac and cheese (kids) was good Alfredo chicken pasta was a flop- garlic butter smelled funny in it, and taste of cheese was raw, garlic toasts were decent Berry lemonade was too sugary and not even a pinch close to lemonade in taste or smell I don't think I would try other menu items soon. read more

We have visited this brewery a couple times over the years. They have been fairly consistent. The wait for a weekend meal can get pretty long, but they do a good job of estimating the time and getting you in under the promised limit. They have done well to accommodate larger parties, ours in the past and those of people we saw this time while in the establishment. I wouldn't call the service overly friendly or enthusiastic, and the one time we tried to get our server's attention as he walked by, he looked in the other direction. Our needs were all met though and we didn't wait too long for food or drinks. We weren't asked about dessert or if we wanted anything else and felt a little dismissed at the end of the meal. When it comes to food, I appreciate the menu having clearly marked gluten free items. The server did also know about sauces and other items that weren't marked (like bbq sauce on a sandwich). There is a gluten free bun too, but it's the kind that gets crumbly and falls apart halfway through the sandwich. We were told that fresh-cut fries don't have gluten in them, but there is cross contamination and a shared fryer. Whenever I order here, I can't help but wonder if would have enjoyed another menu item more. I got the bbq pulled pork sandwich on a gluten-free bun. The coleslaw and pork hard good flavor, but the bun couldn't hold it. The fresh cut fries WERE bad. They were floppy and soaked with grease. The regular fries are beer battered and looked crispy and delicious. I couldn't eat mine. I would get a salad or more coleslaw next time. My husband got a hot honey chicken sandwich. He said the chicken was cooked well but the sandwich was dry. The kids enjoyed the kids menu. And the root beer float is made with root beer that they brew at the place. I had a tasty watermelon margarita drink and my husband had a beer. The portions are sizeable, there are a lot of options for diverse tastes. There is outdoor seating if you want to wait for it. This place has a lot of good things going for it. The servers and staff don't seem to be having a good time (busy, lots to do, tough job...I get it), and the food is just ok. read more

I've been coming to Scuttlebutt for more than 20 years, since it was in the old small location. It's exactly as advertised, the food won't blow you away, the beer is really good. Everything was hot, fresh, and better than expected--comfort food done really well. Our server brought a ton of personality to the table--quick with a joke and not afraid to fire one back. It was said that the bacon had a weird taste, the burger was very dry and the French dip was not good at all. I felt a little guilty that I was the only one that enjoyed the food. We came on a Thursday for a later dinner and it was absolutely packed! We had to wait about 25 minutes for a table, but it was worth the wait. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Scuttlebutt! The skewered grilled shrimp dinner was super fresh and tasty. We ordered the fish and chips! It crunchy on the outside and soft inside. It was cooked beautifully and had some good balanced flavor. Loved the fries that it came with as well. It was coated with corn starch. It was delicious. We loved that the restaurant is dog friendly and offered a small menu for dogs. We comfortably sat outside on the patio. The service was really slow though. Wish they had more servers and cooks during the weekends. Went with 6 people. Our waiter was excellent super nice! The food however was a different story. I ordered the prawns mediocre tasting at best. We had 4 orders of fish and chips that were all severely overcooked no one could finish their meal and it would've taken just too long to send back. 1 salad that was OK. We just paid our tab and tipped our waiter the 20% it wasn't his fault, and left but won't be returning. Its to bad it's a great location and it was a birthday celebration but we enjoyed each other's company and didn't want to make the waiter feel bad but I have never seen fish that over cooked just short of being burnt. Ate here with a huge party of 20 plus people. Good food, good service! Able to accommodate the large party.

We have been here twice now. Went the first time on a recommendation from friends and we were told to try their fish and chips. We did...and it was great!! We also learned that the portions are large and didn't need the 2 piece. Their fried jalapeños are sooo good too!! The 2nd time (last week) was for happy hour. I tried the sliders this time, one burger and one pulled pork. Both were delicious!! Hubby got the spicy cod bites and they were indeed spicy but very good! We had great service both times as well. We ordered the nachos to start and split the Reuben for our meal. Unfortunately, neither option quite lived up to what we've come to expect from Scuttlebutt. The nachos reminded us more of a concession-style fare, and the Reuben was overall lacking in size and flavor. Overall, we would still come back, but plan to order the more popular items on the menu. Ambiance: This is a very large establishment and caters to families, large groups, or singles. The bar is self seating. The restaurant entrance is inside another building and has interesting facts to read before you enter the company. Service: Their checkin stand is friendly and their bartenders are quick to service. They also have good recommendation and let you sample a beer if you are unsure of what to order. Food: Average bar and grill food at best. The soup was good and the wings were juicy but the sauce was nothing special. The mango habanero at BWWW is much better. Their beers are their best menu item. For Everett, this place is a must visit. But in any other big city, there will be too much competition for quality food and beer. Parking is free and nearby the restaurant. I will return if in Everett. read more

This has been on our list since we moved to Everett because we love beer. We went on a Saturday at 5pm with a party of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids). When we asked for the wait, it took the hostess several minutes to figure out the answer and they looked annoyed at our request. They said it would be a 20-30 minute wait so we went for a walk in the marina. It took almost an hour for us to get seated. We checked with the hostess once and they glared at us for asking. We finally got seated and were excited to try the beer, which was the only good thing about this place. The food was mediocre and expensive ($17.99 for a grilled turkey sandwich?!), the waiter was absent, and the vibes were off. If you're looking for a good time, there are many better establishments that won't treat you like an inconvenience for daring to want to eat at their restaurant. We were there in the Scuttlebut Restaurant around 7 pm because my husband wanted to try their porter! We were seated and then later we ordered a porter and a glass if riesling. Later we decided to order but still no beer or Riesling!!! After our prawns arrived still no beer no wine we had one prawn left but still no beer no Riesling had been served , finally the trainer had a beer and Riesling in her hand! Before we were finally served our drinks she was standing talking to our waitress when we were not served our drinks! When we had finished our beer and wine we stood up the blond with long hair practically Anne down to pick up my tiny Riesling glass did not pick up my husbands beer glass, like u was going to steal the glass with no coat, no purse we just were trying to leave pick up the bill to pay she almost knocked me down when she rudely got next to the table and between us picked up the tiny wine glass. It was rude and unnecessary. I did call the manager he apologized said she had been there 4 years and obviously she had Never been trained in 4 years! The busiest and nicest young man was the guy cleaning tables. He immediately came to help my husband to get a receipt that we forgot to ask for! He was the hardest person working there and so nice a young man! Be aware of the older gal long straight blond hair she thinks we would steal her tiny wine glass with no purse and no coat to hide it! The restaurant is located at the end of the buildings but not quite on the water - still a beautiful skyline and facing west in the dining room or outside is a great place to watch the sunset. Wait was quite long for a table on a Thursday night at 6:30, but once we were settled our food and drinks were promptly served. The drink specials were delish, and the pretzel appetizer was sooo good! I've never had a pretzel so light and fluffy and tasty - it was even better than the cheese sauce for dipping (and I loved the cheese sauce!) Very family-friendly brewpub located in the Port of Seattle building. We walked in on a Sunday and were able to get a table right away. Service was prompt and friendly. I had a root beer this time, although I have had Scuttlebutt beer in the past and enjoyed it. The root beer was refreshing and flavorful without too much sugar.
